I've been a long time customer since 1992 when I got my first car. The owner Alex does the work himself and he is a perfectionist and very detail oriented. Over the years he's tinted all the cars I had as well as my fiancé's. He uses high-end tint film by Johnson Window Films and has been certified to install tint. I'm very happy with his tint jobs, there's no bubbles or speck of dirt and the tint film never ever turns purple which is by far the biggest annoying thing to see. Every time I see a car that has a bad tint job I want to tell the owner of the car to call Alex at Tintwindows. Alex also has done tint jobs for auto dealerships, so you know he's recognized as a professional with experience in this craft. read more

What a great experience from start to finish! Alex was FANTASTIC, I wanted to do this as an early Christmas surprise and he was able to squeeze me in when his schedule was totally booked. I would give 6 stars to Tintwindows if I could! While visiting my relatives in OC the other day. My cousin saw the huge bubbles in my window tints and asked me why I never took care of it. "I dont have the time" was my excuse. She handed me a card and I called. Talk about awesome service, Alex picked up my car, removed my old eyesore looking tint, installed the new window tint that we talked about, and delivered my car! Alex is the best. He helped me choose the best film for my new Lexus GS350. The Lexus windows already have a UV coating but not as good as the Mercedes. I wanted something nice and not too dark. I am so glad that I finally got my windows tinted, CORRECTLY! My son had a friend who tinted my windows about 8 months ago. It was nice in the beginning, but more and more bubbles started to appear. It got to the point where I was embarrassed to be seen driving. I don't know why I waited this long, but very happy I chose Tintwindows to fix my problem. The owner Alex is a factory certified window tint installer, who was very helpful informing me about the pros and cons of the many different shades of tint to pick from. I purchased a Ford Edge recently and knew before I even bought it that I was going to have the windows tinted darker than they already were. I owned two cars previously that I had limo tint installed on both by a company in Huntington Beach. The first car looked great, but the second wasn't as dark as I thought it should have been so I started looking on Yelp for a new tint company. I recently moved back to Costa Mesa I started looking for something local and I came across Tintwindows and their reviews were great so I requested a quote. Alex, the owner responded to my email within a few hours and the quote he provided was just right and the convenience of having his shop within walking distance of my new place sealed the deal! I was able to schedule my appointment for that weekend. When I took my Edge over to Alex he explained that the factory tint on the back windows was not removable, but that he could put darker tint over it to get the dark limo tint that I was looking for. We decided that dark tint on top of the factory tint would achieve the darkness that I wanted. I'm so glad I found Alex here on Yelp, he did a fabulous job. Alex is a polished professional who takes great care of his customers! After showing me small samples of tint on my VW Golf, I decided on 35% carbon tints. Many tint shops will not do the tiny triangular windows in the front of my VW, but Alex got them. My tint was scratched at car wash and they set me up with Alex to fix it, even though I wanted to go back to my original place. So, I was pleasantly surprised when Alex promptly called me to come in and get it fixed. Not only that, but he was personable, soft-spoken and put me at ease. We made an appointment that fit my schedule and when I arrived, Alex could not have been more professional or nice...what a gem of a person! After he finished my windows, he explained the curing process and told me to call anytime if there were any issues or if I had any questions. I got my boyfriend tinted windows for his Christmas present. Alex was awesome from the get go, being very flexible with our crazy holiday schedule. His price was not only more than fair, but he also did a spectacular job! I've just got my Genesis tinted. He is so friendly. His shop is a bit small, but who cares as long as his work is super great. He is such a professional!!!!. If you really want to have your car tinted with 3M, you may go to other shops. Don't judge books by cover, I strongly believe Rayno film is also quality film. read more

Awesome customer service! This was the first time I ever got windows tinted on my car. I didn't feel pressured to choose a certain tint or make a quick decision. Alex was very patient and showed me examples of all the tints available and what they looked like on different cars. When I called, Alex said he was actually able to do the tints that same day. I explained that I was going to wait around for the car because I didn't have a friend to help me drop off the car and pick it up when it was done. Alex offered to drop me off at south coast plaza so I could do some shopping while I waited. Awesome! After about 2 and a half hours of mall shopping, Alex called And said my car was ready. He picked me up at the mall and headed back. The car looked awesome! The whole experience only took about 3 hours and the windows look great.
