My girlfriend and I visited Tinto in EK as a bit of a spur of the moment idea.
Having been for a bike ride in the sun and wanting something quick afterwards I had the thought of Tapas. So we had a look at what was local and ended up at Tinto.
It was pretty late on when we arrived but the staff were very helpful and attentive. Im normally a bit reluctant about going for tapas as you pay for about 5 starters in order to get a decent meal, which can turn out a lot more expensive than a usual main course! However, as it was a Tuesday we got the nice surprise that everything on the tapas menu ( except the specials) was £2.50 each!! Result!!
There was a lot of lovely things to choose from and we ended up with eight dishes all of which were delicious! You'll excuse me if I can't remember all the Spanish names but we had, dry salted potatoes with mojo sauce (spicy tomato), meatballs, rolled veal stuffed with Serrano ham and machego, wild mushrooms with cream and wine, prawns with chilli and garlic, grilled chicken and pepper paprika skewers, chicken with chorizo and manchego and then a nice bread selection to dip into and mop up those lovely sauces!
I finished it all off with a Crema Catalana and a La Bumba coffee (coffee with condensed milk, milk and a brandy like liqueur). My girlfriend just went for a coffee and a taste of my pud!
All in all this was a fantastic meal and I could have easily eaten it all again straight away! Well done Tinto Tapas!! read more
