As a professional in the auto world, I've sent over 100 people to Ryan for work. Now I'm regretting it. I had a 2pm appointment for tint. Showed up on time, he was working on another car. Went to lunch, came back, still not started. Visited some friends, returned, was blown away that at 3pm, he still hadn't started. You don't respect my time, you don't get my money. Just barely purchased a car and got it tinted. Sadly I didn't use "A shade Darker". Used them many times and not had this issue. I have attempted to reach Ryan Day many times requesting a resolution to a hole that is pierced into my side door (right under the window) after I had my windows tinted. It was very clearly done while at his shop. Not satisfied at all with the customer service after the job was completed. Go to A Shade Darker. They will take care of you. read more

Ryan has done the window tint on a few of my cars as well as retinting when I needed it done. Very reasonable pricing and great quality of work. Back in 2014 he did my old Honda Accord, (15% back half, 20% front sides). Then he did my friends Crown Victoria the day I got my new car in December of 2019 (5% back half, 15% front sides, 5% Visor) then he did my Crown Victoria not long after (5% back half, 15% sides, and 35% windshield when I got it replaced), Ryan also just did his new cars front side windows and windshield (15% sides 50% windshield, no photos yet sadly) he is always very professional and would always recommend him for window tint. ***** SIX CARS TINTED - ALL WERE GREAT ***** I've had four of my own personal cars tinted by Ryan at Tint By Day as well as two referrals I sent them. I noticed Ryan's attention to detail on my first vehicle when he was able to put the tint film to the very top edge of my side windows. I thought this was amazing because most tint jobs I've seen on other cars have at least an 1/8" gap at the top because the window scrolls up into the felt at the top of the door. Every car tinted by TBD since then has the film go to the edge. Another thing to mention, I have never gotten a bubble. This includes places where they had to disclaim that there is a chance of getting bubbles like on the eyebrow tint on my windshield where there was already shade dots on the glass from the manufacturer. I can't sing enough praises for Tint By Day. Ryan (and one employee the last time I was there) has been my 'go to' tint company since the 90's and I would follow him anywhere. Addressing business practices: Another reviewer mentioned their experience when getting quotes from Tint By Day as well as the neighboring business. Because I respect Tint By Day's opinion I have asked where they recommend I could go to get some car audio work done. They did not recommend their neighbors but instead suggested a business down the street. I understand business relationships and how it's difficult to partner with certain companies so I did not take their less than positive review of the neighbors against them. I don't write reviews very often, but when you experience service that goes above and beyond, you want to tell everyone about it. I own a 2001 BMW 740i and the windows were already tinted when I purchased the car used 10 years ago. About 3 years ago the back window started to develop the bubbles you get on a back tinted window. I ignored the problem for about 2 years and the bubbling got much worse. I took it to a couple of different tint shops in town and the both told me that the tint was to bubbled up and it could not be removed without damaging the defrost wires and the radio antenna. They told me that if I wanted the defrost to continue to work I would have to replace the back window. So I got a price for a new back window of $ 750, you have to buy a BMW window; no other company makes them to fit that car. As you can imagine I did not want to spend $ 750 so I let the problem go for another year. But now, the deformations in the tint are so bad that I only have about 40% visibility out the back window, I have to do something. My buddies at GS tuning recommended that Ryan should tint my new back window. When I took the car to Ryan he told me he thought he could get the old tint off and not replace the back window. He said that he was not 100% sure it would come off but why not spend a few bucks to see if he could get it off. I had nothing to lose; I was already prepared to replace the back window with a new one. Ryan was able to get the entire old tint off and preserve the wires in the window. He re-tinted the back window and all 6 side windows. The car looks amazing, he did a great job. I would categorize Ryan as an expert and an artist, plus he is a really nice guy. I would highly recommend Tint by Day to anyone that was in need of window tinting services. read more

Bought a 2004 Ford F150 in 2006. Took it to Tint by day to have the front door windows tinted. Made an appt and arrived a little early. They took me in as soon as I arrived. Matched the tint for the front windows to the rear windows as I requested. * years later, the tint is on my windows without flaws. I have since taken a VW I purchased for my daughter to have all the windows done. One again, excellent service, high quality work! As an aside. I had the rear window of my truck vandalized recently. The customer service experience was amazing. My experience started with a phone call asking about the type of film used, quote, and if they had time the same day or the next. They fit me in that morning, Awesome! When I arrived, Ryan popped his head out and guided me over as he just talked to me on the phone and remember my make/model. Ryan was super nice, asked qualifying questions about the work that was about to be performed, and I even was able to add on clear covers for my headlights and fog lights to protect them from rock chips. He didn't try to sell me on that, I asked about it myself. He did not pressure me on any products, just informed me and let me decide for myself. We then headed to the office to check out some window swatches to see what fit my wants for this car. He asked if I had an antenna in the back window of my car, which I do, and that would need a specific type of window tint so it doesn't interfere with radio signal. He let me know it would take a while to get the job done, and I was fine with that. I decided to wait in the office and catch up on some work while using there free wi-fi. The experience was smooth from beginning to end. I will happily recommend Tint by Day, not to be confused with the Stereo Shop next door who also offers window tinting and noticed they were not as busy as Tint by Day. The reputation of being in the glass business for 15+ years shows with the experience the workers had, the questions they knew to ask without hesitation, and the calm demeanor they all had. I had the work done in May '13 and I am throughly pleased with the quality of the work, in fact I wish I had done this years ago. In this day it's hard to find service above and beyond...Ryan tinted the windows in my truck fifteen years ago and with age had begun to discolor and become hazy. I took it back to him to redo them with the full intention of having to pay for it as the issues were no fault of his. Went there to pick it up and it looked awesome, so sweet looking through such crisp windows again! When I asked how much...he insisted no charge!!
