My husband and I took our car here a few weeks ago JUST to get a back passenger back window redone. The window was smashed in and after getting a new window we needed it to match the rest of the car. The first concern was my husband said when he took the car in the owner, Bob was really combative and insistent about me having a warrenty or receipt from when I originally brought the car in back in 2018. I was really happy with the service then and that's why I chose to bring it back. But Bob,I guess rummaged through the glove box to try and find this "said receipt" and was insistent that I have it in order to re-do the whole car or at least the back window which was bubbling. Like why are you arguing with my husband about this receipt when I only came it do a single window not the whole car?! Like he was SO PRESSED that I didn't have this "receipt". I don't care about the receipt! I don't care about the back window that is bubbling, I came to get the back passenger window redone ONLY! So finally we said that and told him we just want the one window done. He didn't look too happy about that for some reason.. Well we get the car back in 3 hours! And didn't notice at the time but a few days later we noticed this fool STOLE back our license plate he gifted me 5 years ago. Now I don't care about this stupid Suntint license plate holder. I cared that he had the audacity to just steal it and not say a single word to us. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Who does this?! He was so pressed and mad that we didn't want to get the whole car redone that he stole back the plate holder without mentioning to us. And thought we were never going to notice. When my husband and I confronted him on the phone he was SO defensive and said even said that was "his property" and because we couldn't find the receipt and didn't Opt to get the whole car redone, he had every right to take back the plate. I don't think so. This stupid plate has been on my car for 5 years!! It's mine but again it's not about the plate holder it's the PRINCIPAL of it all. Whatever, he was rude, defensive from the very beginning. I will never go back to him and will advise everyone not to use him. On top of that, they didn't even match up the tints. For being in the profession for DECADES, you'd think they'd know how to match the color. Take the car out in the sun!!! See how it looks held up compared to the other windows from the inside and standing outside. It's not that hard. I came here today to get my new Prius C tinted. First time getting any car tinted and loved the way it turned out so far. I called to set an appointment with Bob a few weeks out and arrived at 10am. He showed me the different types of window films and shades that they offered. For my commute daily, I am concerned with the hot summer sun while stuck in traffic. Combating heat is priority so he showed me a lamp (the sun) against the different films they have. You can feel the heat still on some and less heat on others. Eventually I went with the most expensive option that they have and did all 5 windows. There is also a life time warranty! Bob also recommended tinting the front windshield which I will consider. I was looking for window tint in the Santa Rosa area , I came across this shop. It looked like it had potential, boy I was wrong. Had install done on my Toyota camery . Bob seemed nice at the start but that was only to lure me in and take advantage. The tint he installed was like a bait and switch. He shows some quality in the show room , then when he's in the back it's like he has all this cheap tint that he uses and probably makes a ton off this. He said come back 4 hours it will be ready for pick up . I came back to bait and switch film and it was scratched so bad it was hard to see out of. Not only that my window regulator went bad and he acts like it was like that before ? Um know he has a thing in the door to make the window think it's up so he actually destroys the regulator . Do yourself a favor and Look elsewhere beware beware beware... but as you can see this guy is piece of work. Bob shame on you for being rude and aggressive. I reported bbb as well. So when I first planned on leaving this review, I can tell you it wasn't going to be a good one just based off phone interactions. I thought that Bob was quite abrasive and paired with my own abrasive attitude, I did not think it was gonna be a good fit. But I am happy to report that it was, indeed, a good fit. My Windows look stellar and he took very good care of my car. He's very thorough and super knowledgeable. There are some negative reviews but most of them are quite old. I am so impressed with how Bob took care of my Dodge Charger R/T. The window tint is truly amazing. He's so sweet and professional. I also own a Honda Accord in which Bob had installed the tint on years ago! I've never had a problem with the film he installed; not a scratch, bubble nothing. Bob and Francisco did it again!!! A flawless tint job and a price that made it irresistible. I got the Carbon film for the windows on my 2015 Lancer Evolution X. This is my 4th time having tint work done at SunTint. I've never had a bad job or problems here, just a very satisfied, repeat customer and new cars needing protection. If you don't want to have to worry about quality,time or if this will come out well, will it last??? Just come here. Bob runs a clean shop and takes his time to explain what your options are and the effect that particular film will produce. He recommended a variation of darkening films to create the overall effect. Not just one color all the way round as I would have selected. This turned out much better and legal... ;-) He uses high quality film that don't turn purple and peel up as many others tend to. Ok first off, let me start with saying.... Tinting is NOT easy, there is a LOT of factors that go into it. But somehow Bob makes it look SO easy! Now I have tried it, he was showing me what goes into it, and let me tell you, he KNOWS what he is doing.... There are people out there that "just do" for money, he doesn't "just do" for money or treat this as a "job" he TRUELY loves what he does, and does what he loves, which makes the experience all the more pleasurable. He is very friendly! And loves to teach and listen! He explains the tints and the legal state and how hot it can get with each one! He is more then willing to listen to what you want and make GREAT recommendation! I not only highly recommend this place for the friendly service but for the GREAT, no not great, better then great, EXCELLENT job that is done! It's cheaper then getting a dealer tint job done, and not only that, but this will look better due to the fact you can change each window to your preference, not just what a dealer says you need! I bought a black car with black interior and man was it hot in my car. Like literally boiling. I needed some tint fast. I called sun tint and spoke with bob, i explained my situation and he recommended ceramic tint. He explained how it all worked and quoted me a good price and got me in that same weekend. When I dropped off my car he showed me their model display of the ceramic tint under a heat lamp. I was impressed. I dropped my car off at 10:30 am and got it back around 5. It looked so great! Didn't take long for the tint to dry and it's been about a month or longer and the tint looks great. No bubbles or anything. I would definitely go back to sun tint again. read more
