So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Whatever they're doing back there, it's working. The brine was full and present in every shell, and the mignonette hit that rare sweet spot of light but actually seasoned. The Winter Old Fashioned? Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. Was eyeing the bottle with the piglet on the label, but it was bottle-only -- a distinction I find increasingly arbitrary as a former server and bartender. One day that policy will be a relic. Not yet, apparently. Best brunch I've had in Seattle in two years. Highly recommend.

We ordered some of our go-tos -- hamachi crudo, tuna tartare, and calamari -- and everything was spot on. The vinegar dill fries are exceptional: thin, super crispy, and loaded with seasoning (honestly hard to stop eating). We also tried the loaded fish sandwich and the cornmeal-battered lingcod -- both solid choices. Spicy margarita lived up to its name with a nice kick. It was pretty dead when we arrived around 5pm, with only one other larger table seated, which made for a relaxed, easygoing happy hour. Always a dependable spot when you're craving seafood done right.

We are used to mediocore foods at places like this; and to find the foods to be so delicious was very pleasant surprise. Service was great; we got seated right away and taken care of. We sat outside since it was a nice day and we had our pup with us. Plenty of seating inside and outside. And its right by the lake; (sunset was on point when we went) What we got: Fried kalamari (4.5/5) *not pictured Very creative! Its more of a fried calamari salad; served in a chinese style to go box; i think we found it cool. The calamari was nicely fried; and the breading has sesame seed powder? I think it was delicious! And pair it with the bitter leaves; and some kind of soy dressing. Fried smashed potato (5/5) Delicious! Love some good smashed and deep fried potatoes; and nicely pair with the morney sauce. 1/2 crab fried (5/5) This is sooooo good. It was nicely fried, plated and taste delicious with the aioli and fried basil and everything else that came with it. We also got a couple drinks that were pretty good (not picture) Lots of option when it comes to the drinks Overall it was a good choice to stop by here. Prices reflect the kind of restaurant it is and what it serves; no surprises there.

The oyster selection is always fantastic with a great variety to choose from, though they do feel a tad pricey. The bread is fabulous, really well done, but at the end of the day it's still just bread. The tartare is solid and enjoyable. I was a bit disappointed in the sardines as the walnut pesto and shallots overwhelmed the fish, which on their own are delicious and didn't need that much going on. The cheese options are another highlight and something I do quite enjoy. Overall everything here is solid and well executed, and I understand why it's popular. For me though, it never quite reaches exceptional. It's a good experience, just not one I find myself going out of my way for.

Ever since staying at a B&B in Napa, I ended searching for one in Seattle and stumbled upon Greenlake Guest House. I checked availability, what they offer and so forth and grew too love it and wanted to book our stay with them! Julie our host was so amazing! She was kind and attentive! When we arrived she gave us a tour of the house and showed us to our room! There is a community fridge with water and sodas as well as a Keurig for coffee or tea. There was a welcome basket and bottle of wine that was provided with our stay. Julie told us that we can use their contactless app to put in our breakfast order or utilize the sheet that was provided. She told us that we can pick as little or as much as we wanted. I read great reviews on her homemade granola and definitely had to try it! After breakfast they would give you the sheet to choose breakfast for the next day. Everyday there's something different and everything that we had tried has been delicious! They bake fresh cookies everyday and you have the option to request for them on the menu and if you need your room cleaned. Julie and her staff were all so amazing to us during our stay! We really enjoyed our time here and appreciate their hospitality! Will definitely stay again whenever we visit again!

"They'd squeeze the shit out of a buffalo nickel." That's…read morehow my old boss might have described the way Arrive North Bend's management seeks to fine, charge, and extract money at every turn from their tenants. I've been here 8 months and am delighted to be leaving. People live in these types of communities for convenience and amenities, right? Things like the pool, workout room, parking, location? Well for most of my stay the pool / exercise room were closed or under construction. The gym was closed for a "remodel" that seemed to consist of two new bikes, the replacement of one bad all-in-one exercise unit with another one of even less capability - and a few mystifying mirrored log discs stuck randomly on the walls. Some places will pro-rate rent for this loss of amenities-not this place. Probably the biggest torment of this place is how it was planned with no, and I mean zero, overflow parking. You will simply not be able to entertain unless you want to shuttle your guests to and from your door from offsite. Everyone complains about it; people spill over in the fire zones and get towed on the regular. Forget to bring your trash bins in the day after it's collected? Expect a $30 fine. They're dog friendly, sure - but try and avoid living near any modest chunk of green space or there will be so much dog shit wafting in on the breeze you won't be able to open your windows in the summer. Five of my packages were lost; I had notifications they'd been received and the woman at the front desk refused to believe me. She insisted I do all the legwork to obtain written notification from UPS stating it had been delivered - which it was, straight to her desk. She said she needed to know who had signed for it because she'd been working the whole day and it "never came". When I presented her with her OWN digital signature she finally started to actually investigate, it seems. Eventually all packages were found (by now 5 days afterward) on some shelf she'd forgotten about. Arrive will assess you fees for damn near anything, but tenants have no such recourse. A few months back I had a terrifying blowout on the freeway, and the shop traced the problem to a roofing nail embedded in my tire - one of the many left behind on my driveway by careless (and constant) work crews. Easily two months of my stay had painters, power washers, or roofers on ladders, hammering the roof, jumping on the deck or appearing in the windows - and leaving garbage and nails scattered everywhere. No surprise I also had to replace a tire on my motorcycle when yet ANOTHER roofing nail was found embedded in it. But the coup de grace of this extortionary company has to be this latest. Despite having a fixed-period lease with a set expiration, they are now insisting that if I didn't give them 20 days' written notice I'm leaving (when my leaving date is specified *in the lease*) they can charge me an additional two weeks. Got a lawyer - I'd rather give him twice that than give these assholes another dime. Give Arrive wide berth; they're ravenously exploiting a strong rental market - you're just a walking bag of cash to them.
