The store was bright, and shelves seemed to be stocked, and even though there were people, I didn't feel it was too busy. I picked up $1 bread, sushi from a decent selection, and a premade salad for less than $3. I also got snacks for our drive home at reasonable prices. There were two entrances, and I entered from the side with the elevator. The other side had escalators and there were a lot of people hanging out at the bottom of them. They likely have a lot of activity, as during two days we twice saw firetrucks, ambulances, and police cars but during my visits, there was no activity.

I went in with my wife and asked the manager at the counter for my friend as he was expecting to see me at that time. The manager was annoyed at my inquiry about his employee and said and I QUOTE, "I am not STUPID to call him on the line when he is working!" When I told him that I was only here for some soup bones my friend put aside for me, the manager brudgeningly went to a freezer, pulled out a bag of soup bones, and with an irritated voice, "HERE is the soup bones!" and shoved the bag in my face! I put the bag of soup bones on the counter as I decided to no longer make s purchase and said to the manager, "you should not be so agitated and rough with old clients like me!" and The manager motioned my wife and I with his hands to leave the premises. As we proceeded out the door, I mentioned to the manager that "this is not what I expect from people in our community of Strathmore when we been living here since 1986!" My wife and I were in COMPLETE shock on the manager's mistreatment, disrespect, and verbal abuse and will no longer be patronizing this establishment. This grocery store provides you with some great options for fresh baking, meats, vegetables, fruits, and cheeses. Everything they serve is of the top most quality and they will definitely fix any problems you have with your groceries. Dave and Jamie are two of the nicest guys you will meet and they manage the store very well to keep it stocked and running smoothly. One of the great options for the older people of the community is the ability to have your groceries delivered to your house. You phone in your order and then at a time that you are available, a delivery boy will bring everything you need to your home. Also a great way to save money on groceries is Customer Appreciation Day (I know it's at most grocery stores now) where you save 15% on your groceries! This happens on the first Tuesday of every month, so make sure you get in to grab some groceries. There will be a ton of people in the store, but all of the tills will probably be putting people through, so it shouldn't take too long. Sobeys is a great place to grab some groceries but be sure to grab your free membership in order to grab all of the deals.
