Newest Sobeys in booming community of Mahogany…read more This is also the 3rd Sobeys again in SE Calgary. Staff is extremely friendly and the location layout similar to Cranston but it is even larger with a dining sitting area and a Starbucks. Aisles are wide and store is very clean as it just opened up. This Sobeys has it all including a restaurant take out area of daily prepared hot foods and sushi. After coming here for a few months I moved the rating down from 5 stars to 4 stars as selection of fruit seems to be lacking compared to the smaller location at Mckenzie Towne. Overall with airmiles and huge selection and size of store can't beat this location.

As for expired foods, well every grocery store seems to have this issue from time to time. Two years ago I purchased a very expensive piece of fish at a fancy Save On foods only to find it had gone bad after opening the package. I called the store but wasn't about to spend more in fuel to return it. Then last week I happened to be near the Italian market on Fairmont Drive and bought feta cheese only to discover it moldy & read that it was past its expiration by 2 months! Again I am annoyed because I just wasted $12 but it's not worth the drive. The family that owns BCF's are lovely and kind people that provided for us during the pandemic. They need our support, not our complaints.

If there is something No Frills carries but does not have they will do all they can to get it. Maybe there is more Asian foods because the customers asked for it. It is sad that your first review was negative, I bet the guy that was complaining about Asian food never asked why or asked for the items he could not find. I only just moved to High River in October. No Frills has local business owners that I have no problem supporting. I have been to both Sobeys and Co-op neither have been as helpful. I go there and I buy the cranberry LITE sparkling drink I buy four of them, because they have less sugar and they taste so good and it pairs well with a apple Jamaican rum. It gives your taste buds a whole new atmosphere, but there are other things there too. they have different kinds of food and stuff. Don't think of it as a grocery store because it's not like that, they carry potato chips, they carry chocolate bars, pudding, apple sauce, bbq sauce etc. They carry tea, coffee. It's just too much to remember everything I bought my dogs that I babysit new toys these ones they cannot destroy. They're more like a rubber type, but they love playing with it. They try to destroy the squeak, they haven't succeeded. they carry rugs, all sizes, they carry shower, curtains, and shower hooks. Think of this store as consumer distribution if anybody who is a baby boomer would know what that is, they carry men's clothing, they carry women's clothing, they carry children's and babies clothing, not a lot, but you'll see when you come in. They carry blankets, purses, men's boots, and shoes. Women's shoes and boits, sheets, and tools. If I had time, I would tell you pretty much what more do they have but I would be here all day. You would have to go and see this place for yourself.

I'm really not someone who typically writes negative reviews, but the experience at this Starbucks…read morehas gotten to the point where I feel like something needs to be said. Almost every time I come in, there seems to be a completely new employee who is clearly still learning and doesn't seem to have the training or support they need. What's even more frustrating is that they are often left working on their own without a supervisor or experienced employee around to guide them. I genuinely feel bad for the employees because it seems like they're being put in a position where they're expected to figure things out themselves. Unfortunately, this has also had a major impact on the quality of the drinks. I have lost count of how many times I've paid Starbucks prices for a drink, brought it home, taken one sip, and ended up throwing it in the garbage because it was genuinely undrinkable. I completely understand that mistakes happen, especially with new employees, but when it happens repeatedly, it becomes incredibly frustrating. I'm not expecting perfection, and I have nothing against the individual employees. If anything, I think they deserve better training and support. The constant turnover, lack of supervision, and inconsistency in drink quality really need to be addressed. I've been a Starbucks customer for a long time, but I'm at the point where I hesitate to go to this location because I simply don't know if I'm going to leave with a drink I can actually enjoy. I really hope management takes this feedback seriously, because this location has gone downhill significantly and it's disappointing to see.
