Yeah found T&T in Calgary. This is the newest T&T location in Calgary (only 2 stores). Store is very busy. This T&T is not small but I find that fruit section is a bit lacking. Other is ok. Isle is quite nice to walk in. Not difficult to push a buggy around. They charge for bags here.

Bought lunch and a drink at the food court for $21. The food was ok but the cost is probably a little too much. Bought some rice dumpling but unfortunately it doesn't say what ingredients are involved. Beware.

You can't go wrong with this Asian food market, I was told this was their new location. Although I don't live here the food is expected to be the same as any other location of T&T out of town. Large parking lot, busy as usual because it's a trustworthy market. If you get there in the day you can make it for their hot meals or come later and get their cold food for less. This location I've been at is larger than most with an atmosphere that feels like your in Asia. The bakery is awesome! Staff is nice and hardworking. The seafood looks fantastic but not for everyone I suppose. Basic Asian necessities can be found here that's what will make me comeback to their stores. For example rice cookers, rice dispensers, simple tea sets, and many more Asian items not usually found in your average Canadian store. Recommended for anyone whose into Asian food.

Hi, Just went there on the way home to grab some dinner ..... holy crap, what swill !! I bought two of their hot food dishes that I thought were prices at the counter at one price, I thought I saw ($9.00) and it was $12.00 bucks per bowl. So $23.98 and they're smallish and we're doughy and crap. I suspect it might have been made at some point in the day. But I got there at 4:00. Then I made the HUGE mistake in buying a 4 pack of Vietnamese salad rolls and they we're only $5.25 which is an OK price ....too bad they're not edible. Best before Jan 17 huh of when? Last Year in 2016? The other two with a bite out of each one are in the garbage. Too bad I can't add a picture, or can I ? I'll stick to their packaged grocery items from now on. Cheers' Dave

Review #10 of Yelp's 30 Day Challenge 2012…read more We stopped in here following a quick Friday night bite at a local restaurant in the strip mall next to this market. Hubs had been before on a mission to find a special sauce quite some time ago so he knew I would like it. This supermarket has been here a couple years now...the space used to be Fabric Land and while it's not huge it carries a very large array of Asian foods & groceries. We had the kids in tow and so there was not much time available to carefully check all sections in the store before they got bored but we figured it was family movie night and we would grab some unique snacks to try with our movie. Plus it's a great experience for them to see different kinds of foods. Puffed wheat is a favourite of hubs so we grabbed some whole wheat cracker, some puffed rice, caramel corn snack, sesame snaps, Boy Bawang (golden sweet cornick) and sunflower seeds. We took a few extra minutes to wander through the produce area and much to our delight (and probably since they were having a hard time reading what items were) the kids asked if they could each pick out an apple for later (apple pear for the girl, gala for the boy). One thing I noticed is produce pricing is really really good even with a smaller selection....we also grabbed some persimmons for an appy I planned on making this wkd. We tootled over to the other side of the store where they have a meat shop with fresh & frozen items. Hubs noticed a super thick sirloin steak priced at $5 (OMG). We further grabbed a huge bottle of sriracha for less than $3 and several other items that caught my eye (black sesame seeds, vermicelli noodles, etc.). In the end I had a basket full but the total of all my items was $20. I probably would have bought more had I more time (and no kids). If had to point out one con (a very minor one at that) it would be that they didn't ask me if I wanted plastic bags but yet charged me for them anyways. I should add I ran back the next morning to grab some steak for dinner :). This place is definitely the little sister to T&T or a "Mini Me". It is a great little neighborhood market with all kinds of unique items with reasonable prices. Definitely worth stopping in if you are in this quadrant of the city even if only to try a new snack or item you've never tried before.

There are basically two rows of food here, mostly staples, rice, teas, spices, beans, and the sauces. A very nice selection of exotic hot sauces here, Tamarind Date, Trinidad Style, Red pepper, Hot pepper, and West Indian Sauce just to name a few. The take out or in menu consisted of Jamaican Patties for 2 dollars, and Coco Bread. There is Curried Chicken, Curried Goat, Curried Ox Tail, Jerk Chicken, Curried Chicken, Beef and Goat Roti all for around 10 dollars. All prices are reasonable and there was a small line up of regulars with tons of laughing and island stories spiralling around. It was so contagious we were all laughing in the end and you really did feel like you were sitting on the beach in the Caribbean sipping on your island rum or ginger beer. The owners were so warm and friendly that they gave me a 2010 mini calendar to take home. Ahhhh so nice warming up the soul for a brief moment today.

If you've spent some time on the islands and you're a fan of beans, rice and spicy (not ridiculous spicy) Jamaican curry, this could quickly become the lunch spot for you. The walls are lined like a Carribean grocery store, and throughout the centre and front window are tables for you to hang out and enjoy your food from the kitchen. Being an Alberta boy, not well versed in the ways of the Carribean, I found the attitude of the place to be unusually and enjoyably relaxed. Arriving a bit late for lunch, I asked if I could get a Chicken Curry. The pleasant lady at the till looked as if to think about it for a brief while before going "uuhmm, okay. But it will be 7 minutes." At the time I thought as if I was asking for something unusual, but this is one of the menu item, and I feel like this just might be the way of the shop The chicken, while deliciously spiced with Jamaican curry was at least half bone and cartilage. There were large masses of chicken but it was still difficult to get a mouth-full without spitting the undesirable pieces back into the styrofoam container. Is this authentic? Unfortunately, I'm too uneducated to say. The atmosphere is laid back and I was the only person without a thick Jamaican sounding accent and I very much enjoyed the food. A fun combination of tasty food and enjoyable quirk leave me excited to go back!

I guess they're mostly 'fakirs', hyuk! I am not Polish so I cannot spell or pronounce things, but I think the owner/maker is called Miertek. Anyway you slice it, this is the guy to come to if you want locally produce cured/smoked meats and sausages. His fatty hungarian is the winter bomb, and the roasted bacon (that's right, ROASTED BACON) is a gift from the gods of meat preparation. I suggest that you peruse and randomly choose what looks appealing your first time. There is sooo much, you WILL be back. This guy is the sausage man for Calgary. Regarding his cuts of meat, I have only done his pork tenderloin -- it was exactly what I wanted. They also offer lots of other Polish things. Their fresh sauerkraut and pickles are better than almost anywhere else (Jan's gives him a run though), his smoked mackerel is as good as Jan's, and his scratch perogie selection is a cut above -- avoid the sauerkraut ones, they don't freeze as well as the others (sauerkraut perogies are best fresh). Lots of canned goods, spices, sweets, preserves et cetera. Just remember -- this is THE sausage guy. Closed Mondays, go to Bon-Ton then. Only then. Or wait for Miertek to open tuesday...
