Came here for the dim sum sale! Which by the way was awesome! As always we left with way more than we wanted. We had buba tea, hot buffet to take home for lunch. Bok choy, chili sauce and of course dim sum items as well as other products I was run low on. Staff are friendly and joked around with hubby that had him laughing. He is tall and stands out or should I say up, so I can never lose him there. The store very clean considering how busy it was!!! Just love this store even when busy!! For those that are from the States, T&T Supermarkets are basically Canada's version of a 99 Ranch, a known parent organization as well. It is deemed as "Asian" supermarket and does seem to carry a diverse selection but I'd say it is primarily Chinese especially due to the presence of Chinese fast food, roast duck, and pig in the food court area. Said food court area came in clutch for an easy, affordable dinner (pricing determined by weight) after landing at nearby Calgary International Airport. In addition to the usual produce, Asian snacks, seafood and meat sections, they uniquely have a whole aisle dedicated to Asian beauty products which I regarded with high interest. Some of the grab and go items -- namely the baos -- were a little expensive, but overall pricing was so-so. Parking lot was huge making for an easy-going shopping experience. read more

My partner and I just moved from the states so it's taking a while to find places to buy specific items at. We love cooking Asian dishes and found there were some Asian supermarkets near us. I wish I could review separate items in addition to rating the establishment so I'll make a list of the few items we have bought in addition to the store as a whole. The location is pretty easy to get to. The outside is always pretty clean. The inside is always hit or miss. As a store that also sells made to order and prepackaged foods, I would think it would be more well kept in the cleanliness department. Each time we have gone, it's been dirty and a little gross. The staff has been super helpful when we have asked where to find certain items. What I would give 5 stars for is how well their fresh produce is! This is the place to buy cilantro and lettuce! Of course we buy other fruits and veggies but those are on the top of our list. Other stores have wilted and gross smelling produce while this store has the best I've found so far. I give 5 stars for their snack, candy and noodle selection! So much to look at and choose from. After the new year, I'm planning to buy a handful of different flavours of Oreos, KitKats and noodles to send to my family in the states! My partner enjoys getting their steamed buns that are made fresh! Their food bar is quite questionable. I'm a vegetarian so I can't be trusted. But my partner isn't and she questions the quality. After all... it's serve at your own risk. She did order sushi and she said it was not fresh and the seafood had a smell to it. She tossed the sushi. We also tried their packaged boba tea and won't be trying that again. I grabbed the dragonfruit pineapple boba. It was not good. My partner grabbed the red white and blue boba and it had the texture of jello. Not the boba pearls... the actual drink. So those were a no for us. My issues are the cleanliness of the store, the quality of the "made to order" food and the food bar. That's what went into the 3 stars. What helped the rating was the kindness of the staff, especially those at checkout, the produce selection and how fresh that stuff is, and also the fun limited edition snacks and treats that are located all throughout the store! read more

For Asian food stuffs, and variety, T&T harvest Hills cannot be beat. The Sushi/Sashimi quality is excellent, and prepared properly. They even have Uni in bulk which you can buy to make your own sushi. They also have a small dining are where you can consume your take-out items in place, which was off-limits during COVID but has been returned to the public now. Today I went there for the SIXTEEN item hot buffet at $2.29/100g. I got the large tub and loaded it to overflowing. I paid $14.50 at the checkout (sans plastic lid). Most staff are quite friendly and helpful, and they have true pride-of-craft for their product and store, even after Mr. Weston bought the whole chain. Prices are not the lowest necessarily, but the quality and variety is unsurpassed. We buy a lot of stuff in this store, both in the take-out and food staples categories. Always satisfied when I leave here with the groceries/Take-out! read more

Yeah found T&T in Calgary. This is the newest T&T location in Calgary (only 2 stores). Store is very busy. This T&T is not small but I find that fruit section is a bit lacking. Other is ok. Isle is quite nice to walk in. Not difficult to push a buggy around. They charge for bags here. read more

You can't go wrong with this Asian food market, I was told this was their new location. Although I don't live here the food is expected to be the same as any other location of T&T out of town. Large parking lot, busy as usual because it's a trustworthy market. If you get there in the day you can make it for their hot meals or come later and get their cold food for less. This location I've been at is larger than most with an atmosphere that feels like your in Asia. The bakery is awesome! Staff is nice and hardworking. The seafood looks fantastic but not for everyone I suppose. Basic Asian necessities can be found here that's what will make me comeback to their stores. For example rice cookers, rice dispensers, simple tea sets, and many more Asian items not usually found in your average Canadian store. Recommended for anyone whose into Asian food. read more

Hi, Just went there on the way home to grab some dinner ..... holy crap, what swill !! I bought two of their hot food dishes that I thought were prices at the counter at one price, I thought I saw ($9.00) and it was $12.00 bucks per bowl. So $23.98 and they're smallish and we're doughy and crap. I suspect it might have been made at some point in the day. But I got there at 4:00. Then I made the HUGE mistake in buying a 4 pack of Vietnamese salad rolls and they we're only $5.25 which is an OK price ....too bad they're not edible. Best before Jan 17 huh of when? Last Year in 2016? The other two with a bite out of each one are in the garbage. Too bad I can't add a picture, or can I ? I'll stick to their packaged grocery items from now on. T&T first came to Calgary in the late 90s and since then has captured the hearts of many Asian Calgarians and the curiosity of the adventurous. It's an Asian grocery store marketed like a Western grocery store. It's clean, it's huge, it's got a deli, a bakery, fresh meats, wide variety of Asian produce and a large seafood selection. The only thing missing is a pharmacy. My weekly routine is to check the flyers that come out every Friday. Why? Because everything at T&T is marked up by at least 20%. Basic Asian items can be found much cheaper at Superstore and at other Asian grocery stores around town, but T&T's quality and selection cannot be beat. The produce are always green and the bakery buns are never a day older than when they came out of the oven. The seafood section offers some of the freshest seafood in Calgary and a butcher is available to descale, prep and bag your purchase for you. I must admit, there is a language barrier but T&T is worth the visit. If you're adventurous, be sure to visit and pick up some fresh Asian groceries while you're there. read more

Initially I was pretty excited, the first sighting of a T&T since arriving but in comparison to some back home, I'm not fond of how they deliberately divided a normal long aisle to 2 shorter ones. Now finding things are even more difficult. take the instant noodles. They should all be together---but not here, they decided to separate the Southeast brands away from the Chinese/Japanese/Taiwanese...and it's not even in the same area. About 3 aisles down, then you'll find the Malaysian/Singaporean ones. By the way, the Migoreng's are simply the best if you like a bit of spice ;) What's impressive is the humungus seating for the deli area as per pic. But the washrooms really suck, small and unisex. Overall, one of the bigger ones, though our Metrotown in Burnaby is still bigger. read more

I come here because my children and teens love the bubble tea! The take out prepared food is great. My 5 yr old watches a lot of Asian channels on YouTube and pretty much drags me around the store finding fruits, cookies, noodles, and candy kits she saw online. :). Which are always a hit!!!! She even found a manager and explained this sushi candy making kit and he took her right to it! I had no idea what she was talking about. But he knew! Great customer service. They sell foods from all the Asian regions. Fresh seafood and butcher counter. Big frozen meat and seafood section. Produce is fresh and great variety. But once my children are grown I will have no reason to shop here. read more

This is my go to spot for Asian items and I always come here to pick up items for the following dishes: - Hotpot - they have everything that you would need; sliced meat, broth mixes, assortment of fish balls and of course veggies - Asian dishes - if you're trying a new dish and you need a type of asian ingredient, your best bet is to start here - Seafood dishes - I think it has some of the freshest seafood in the city; there is high turnover so the seafood is always fresh. They always have fresh lobster, crab, mussels, clams, fish and shrimp in stock and they always stock up before the holidays (go early if you don't want to deal with a crowd) - Chinese bakery - I sometimes pick up buns or pastries when I'm heading to someone's house or a birthday cake. These items have always been a hit. There is sometimes a language barrier when it comes to service but if you ask enough people, someone will be able to help you. read more

Once you get past the overwhelming waft of seafood smell when you come in, it's pretty entertaining to shop around. Usually I come here with no set agenda so I can wander around aimlessly and giggle/gasp at the translations on items. I always hit up the bakery, if you're here early enough in the morning you get to pick up fresh pastries! The inner child in me gets super excited when I wander down the candy aisle - I love Asian treats :) Basic Asian cooking ingredients (soy sauce, etc) are a bit pricey, you will find similar products at Superstore for a lot cheaper If you're up for an adventure, check out T&T, you won't be disappointed read more

I'm in paradise when I go here lol its like visiting a food lovers dream albeit with an Asian twist, but if you like experimenting and trying something new then a visit to one of the T&T markets is a must if you like food. Its really catered for the Asian communities so hence most of the foods are leant towards Chinese, Korean and Japanese tastes, but they also carry all the usuals, they have really good deals on NZ Lamb (frozen) have a great fresh and frozen fish section, Asian fruit and vegetable's. The bakery is really good, but they have like a take away style hot food section thats really good and I make a bee line for the Steamed Bun section next to it which is excellent, you can get different types of steamed bun but my favourite and highly recommend is the BBQ Beef, you can keep them in the fridge and just nuke them for a minute and voila there good to go! (or for the purist you can re-steam them, but I cant wait that long ;) If you like Asian style food then this place is the Mecca! read more

Extensive selection of South East Asian products. Some products are competitively priced, while others are obscenely expensive. Average at best lunch takeaway selections, including standard "american Chinese" items as well as some more exotic items. BBQ pork, duck, etc, all available chopped by the pound. Dim Sum, buns, and other items also available at reasonable prices, but the quality is not very high. Employees here range mostly from apathetic to overtly rude or offensive. Some of the staff here speak literally zero English, and you may misinterpret their lack of communication skills as rudeness -- this is not necessarily the case, but it could be. There are a number of employees here who are blatantly rude, and could make you question whether or not you want to give them your money. All this combined with the fact that the majority of the CUSTOMERS here are rude and offensive as well, I'm concluding that the T&T experience is not for those with easily hurt feelings! read more

It's the Asian super market...on steroids! They've got everything from tasty spring rolls to freshly baked breads, to chopped up meat in there butcher shop....and yes, they have crazy stuff like pig ears and tongue! They basically have everything Asian food related. So if you're not Asian and looking to cook like you are Asian...you'll find your cook book recipe ingredients here. Most items are pricey compared to getting it at superstore or something...but again, superstore doesn't have much compared to this giant market. So price versus the convenience of having everything in one place. Their baked goods are awesome, their take out food is greasy and bland, their sushi and Dim Sum is okay, but far from good. Just had to add: Discovered T & T carries Tai Pow - Big Steamed Bun - they label it as "Vietnamese Egg Bun" - located in the fridge section where the rice dumplings reside (in front of the dim sum location). The bun is packed inside a plastic see-through container and the bun is individually wrapped with saran wrap. Steam the bun up for 20 mins or so and it tastes so gooooooood! I get it - this Supermarket was perhaps not designed with me in mind however I love to create ethnic dishes and am very interested in the teas and herbal remedies. Today, my experience in Service all over the store was the worst I have had in a very long time. I would have spent more cash had I had some help as of course I could not make out what a lot of the things were I was looking at and those stations (tea and medicinal area) were serviced. But, I was un-serviced. And hovered over at the wrong times for no reason. I received short, curt answers from staff in regards to questions with zero compassion and not a crack of a smile. A shame as there are some very interesting things here. Seafood area (be prepared, it does not smell like your typical grocery store, think fishy but cultural) Bakery, Dim Sum, Hot Food, Teas, Prepared dishes. Lots of Asian spices, dried herbs, coconut milk, pop that you have maybe never seen before and the list goes on. No cases of water though and if you ask,some staff we encountered do not speak English here. Fair enough, looking through all the aisles was fun and interesting but we did not feel so welcome. Sad, I bought a couple of things but was feeling rushed out due to 0 service and will likely not return. I added a star to make 2 stars as the store was clean and I still think much of what they sell is cool. read more

I usually don't venture out this far, but our teenager had a hankering for affordable Japanese snacks. After paying for a couple of marble pop sodas, cream wafers, mini puddings and matcha milk candies(my son said these snacks were less expensive than the ones in Dragon City Mall), we decided to grab a quick bite. Our son ordered some cucumber and California(with fake crab meat) rolls, sat down in the little eating area close to one of the entrances of the store, and began to wolf down his lunch. As far as cucumber rolls go, the cucumbers were crunchy and the sushi rice was soft and moist (but not mushy). Hubby and I ordered a barbecue pork rice noodle soup and a wonton soup with egg noodle soup, respectively. My wontons were a bit bland but the egg noodles were fairly firm. There was still so much lye on the noodles(they weren't rinsed properly) that it ruined the taste of the broth. I also couldn't resist buying a whole roast duck for $24.99--maybe I should've thought to ask for a sample first. While we were sitting in the eating area, I managed a little taste, but wasn't too impressed--it was incredibly salty! We brought it home for supper and had to cook a large batch of rice to go with it! In all fairness, this review was only for the hot soup/noodle/roast station and the candy/snack aisle. read more

Free parking, Lots of spaces to find parking spot, one of the many biggest perks of T&T Supermarket. The bakery selection for cakes chiffon cake: with lots of fruit: it almost reminds me of Hong Kong style cake/ Japanese style cake. There are tons of Japanese brands of hair cleansers, hair moisturisers facial cleaning products, etc.... Lots of different dessert cakes, and other pastries. There are a ton of selection: one can be there all day... Chinese herbal shop: and yes they speak English so if you don't know a word of Chinese it's ok! From goji berries, ginseng, teas and many delightful gifts you can buy for yourself or others. Rice cakes to green tea angel cake, milk candy, Nong shim ramen: Kimchi in a cup, seafood in a cup... all tasty: just wish they would come out with a non msg brand with all natural flavors and you've got me on board. The presentation of the store, and all it's products are superb, the leaves of the Napa cabbage is nicely presented, just like a present. From fruit pops to kitchen electronics: rice cooker: Panasonic, tiger brand...Japan made....! Good quality, Worth checking out. You can get all the cool Asian products at your local grocery store: with tons of selection: it's easy and convenient and rest of this amazing experience can speak for itself. Service isn't great - but there was a slight language barrier. First stop was brunch - we went for dim sum and it was great - so fresh, so hot, so tasty. We watched the ladies in the back making BBQ pork buns and oh man was it the best BBQ pork bun I've ever had?!?!? I think so YES!!! Big pieces of pork, nice seasoning, not too saucy but not dry- FANTASTIC! Ordering was a little frustrating as we were getting hangry and "pork" was getting confused with "fork" but after that all was good. We shopped around to get some other frozen dim sum items and they had such a large selection! I can't wait to have some dim sum at home over the holidays! And the fruit section! So many options! We grabbed some snake fruit and mangosteens for a party that night and they wound up being a great conversation piece as well as a fun experience we all enjoyed! I love mangosteens to begin with - the snake fruit many enjoyed but I found the texture strange and it was not for me. Otherwise the tills move fast so while it may look linedup it won't take very long. There is also a bubble tea stop which we made for the drive - not as good as other places and far less fresh fruit options and an additional $2 for alternative pearls seems super overpriced. Although they do sell the stuff to make your own at home so that's nifty. read more

For me, T&T is more like free entertainment than a shopping destination. I can easily spend hours wandering the aisles, reading labels, discretely checking out other people's carts, and then only buying one or two things ("Birds' Nest White Fungus Drink" is always a suitable gift!). It's definitely a cultural melting pot and the behaviors that make a trip to Safeway tolerable (smiling at passersby, making eye contact, saying "excuse me", making room for people to pass, etc.) aren't the norm, but I've never actually been treated outright rudely. In fact, the staff are usually extremely helpful and want to share their cooking tips with me. If you're looking for a special Asian food item T&T is probably your best bet in Calgary; it's also a good stop if you're looking for cheap produce (herbs especially are at least 50% cheaper than at most major supermarkets). read more

Do you ever have one of those days where you're thinking to yourself, even though usually you're used to bright intelligent conversations with cultured educated people and surrounding yourself with as much beauty and luxury as possible,... And then suddenly you find yourself in this disgusting mutated hybrid combination environment between the characters of breaking bad and walking dead and zero dark 30? This is how I felt last week when I went to this TNT at the Pacific Place mall, I consider myself an interesting and well-traveled person and I don't always need to be staying at five-star resorts although that is my preference, I don't always need to be surrounded by like-minded people but wow what a culture shock, this mall is the worst dump probably have ever been in my life. Most of the stores are shuddered and closed and bankrupt, 90% of the customers were Muslim ladies wearing full on all body black burkas with only eyes visible- Ironically one of the only stores in this mall that was still open was selling racy lingerie including G strings and stockings, do you really think that this is the right neighborhood to sell these kind of products?I'm guessing the Koran would consider lacy push-up bras and Merry Widows worn under burkas has to be forbidden... I can't believe that store is still in business but I doubt it has much longer to live.......Anyway the point is I was there to shop at the TNT. I'm used to the ones in Toronto in Markham which are always amazing, clean, huge, and fabulous cheap prices. So cheap that you wonder how they made a profit. This place is completely different, very small and the prices are four times as high. I totally don't recommend it. And by the way keep your eye on your purse, I was literally scared for my money and my life the whole time I was in there PS If you are looking for a restaurant locally; Whatever you do, NEVER go to the Calgary restaurant The Guild.
