One of two Real Canadian in SE Calgary and it's location has been here for at least 12 years of memory serves me. Many renovations later the store does look very modern with lots of check outs and of course standard self serve. Pricing is great and clothing section is varied. Surprisingly they have a walk in doctors office in superstore on 130th which I would not expect. I had to go to a walk in clinic on Sunday so I googled places nearby and they said there was one here. I was a tad bit lenient to be going to a doctors office in a grocery store but it had good reviews so I decided to and it ended up being fine. read more

This is our main go to Superstore location in the SE. We also frequent the Seton store, but mostly for their walk-in clinic as they are open on the weekends. Like I said, we love this location, but be warned it is quite busy! Note that we have not used their click and collect and cannot comment on that part of this location's service. This location is always busy, but most if not all the checkouts are open so it's not a big deal. Parking is not a problem as well as the parking lot is huge. The store is always kept clean and the shelves are well stocked. My one issue with the store is that their produce sometimes is not up to par, but that is very rare. Specifically their brussel sprouts and strawberries are sometimes quite mushy or brown, but again not a big deal. Overall I can definitely recommend this Superstore location to friends and family. read more

Looks like the real Canadian superstore doesn't want me as a customer anymore, I legally purchased groceries for about $220 and as I was leaving the store,I get stopped at the exit like I'm a criminal asked for the receipt and my cart wheel remains looked, trust me from now on I go shopping somewhere else, trust me! read more

The superstore on 130th has always been my "go to" store. Like a dutiful customer I am there every week to load up on hundreds of dollars worth of groceries. I absolutely loathe packing my own groceries, especially with my 2yo tagging along, but have overlooked the inconvenience because I know Safeway is way more expensive. The non-english speaking cashiers eff up half the time and I am forced to wait in the customer service line in hopes of a remedy. I still grin and bare it. Plus, it never fails, that they don't have what I'm looking for. Common items that they don't carry or don't restock. Grrrrrr. All of this nonsense came to a screeching hault when they refused to exchange two shirts that I purchased 3 days ago. It is my fault that I didn't notice the holes in both shirts prior to cutting the itchy tags off. I spoke to the little man of a manager who only said, "Sorry" and walked off. Apparently the tags cannot be removed which I had NO idea about! They really need to inform the customers of their policies. No tags=no exchange or refund! (I have exchanged plenty of clothing with the tags removed from this location.) So now I'm out 2 shirts and $35 bucks. I suppose this is what I get for buying clothing from a grocery store. Lame. Superstore is a screaming child infested, giant cart hazard, mess of a produce dept grocery store. If it wasn't for the awesome Joe clothes and cheap condiments, I would avoid this place like it was my landlord and the rent was due. I'm not even sure if anyone works in grocery because I can never find anyone when I'm having trouble finding something. The pharmacist is grumpy, the ladies in clothing section are dece, the cashiers are pretty nice, and the hair place has cheap products including O-P-I nail polish. PC products are wicked, the prices here are unreal, and I love the entrance covered in seasonal chocolates and decorations. I just wish it came with a map to where the friggin molasses is located. Oh god you need to avoid this place on the weekends. It is the devil of grocery stores. I don't know why its so crazy at this store. Its like everyone turns off their brains before entering the store and then walks around like zombies smashing their carts into each other while throwing produce on the ground. I would rather pay more to shop at Safeway or Sobeys just to avoid the terrible shopping habits of people who blow through this store. read more

What is there to say that hasn't already been said about a Superstore, well let's not. Let me however talk about this mammoth location in the SE. There are complaints about how congested the other Superstores are; well you won't have that problem at this location. I felt like I was driving to Banff it is that far outside of Calgary, but with that comes a huge store to yourself to shop. Why not love the Superstore? It's all Canadian and although some people have complained about it not being worth the wait for their small items, this place is a refuge for huge families who need to buy in bulk. Let those single folks complain they don't have children who have to go to school, so therefore thank god for Superstore, perfect place for home decoration, children's clothing and school items which as you know eventually add up. The service at this location was great, there are people all over the store asking if you are doing okay, I even had a pleasant chat in my ethnic language with the woman who greets and says goodbye to you at the door. It is definelty a one stop shopping animal. read more

Okay I'm basing this review only on there garden centre. I like the store it's usually well stocked and is quite clean. However, I bought flowers, trees and shrubs from the garden centre for three years in a row and they all died with in days of bringing them home. I always get suckered into buying them when passing by on the way into the store. They die in the pots I purchase them in and they die when I plant them in my garden. I've purchase flowers and trees from Walmart or Costco and they bloom and live for years. Disappointed in there garden centre especially since I do like buying my groceries there. read more

I could think of many different ways I would rather spend 20 minutes of my day then keying in a bunch of fruits and vegetables in self-checkout just because it apparently wasn't busy enough to open a checkout lane. Three staff members standing around with nothing to do and simply not opening a lane even though the request was expressed by more than one customer. read more

As far as Grocery stores are concerned, I'm not loyal to one specific retailer. I don't go to Co-op for their pots & pans etc. when you collect stickers. I don't go to Safeway's for their Air miles Reward program. I don't go to Sobey's, my least favorite for their Aeroplan points. I shop for convenience. As for Superstore,I like this one because It's the closest one to my house when I'm out doing other shopping (Walmart, London Drugs) etc. This one's good because it's not a "ZOO" inside it's relatively dead as far as the amount of people goes. Well depending on what time of day and week you go. I have to say, in comparison to others it's probrably the least busiest on the weekends I've been to. When you get inside the store is laid out essentially the same as all the other Superstore's you go to. Electronics to the right when you first go in. Pharmacy, and clothing to follow .Housewares, deli, dairy produce, bakery, checkouts all on the perimeter of the store. Counter-clockwise from the right. Bulk foods, frozen foods, cereals, to laundry detergents l-R. I usually just get a few things here and use the self check-out tills. I don't really get these things. I mean every time you scan something you need a person that works there to use a code to reset or put something back in your bag that you never took out ? Also I hate having to pay for bags. I guess that's why your suppose to bring recyclable ones. read more

Just go back from Stupidstore after stocking up on Easter dinner fixins. The store was just renovated and is now even bigger than before (meaning it will now take TWO hours to go through even if you are getting 1 item). It really does feel like a black hole sucking all the time away, doesn't it? If you forget an item and you are on the other side of the store you might want to call a cab. Overall I was quite happy though, the produce section is now right inside the front doors and it was very well stocked with items that weren't completely picked over (which can happen near the end of he day). The prices are ridiculously cheap too. They pretty much have everything you could ever ask for however finding it can prove difficult at times. There were lots of people around to ask although usually this isn't the case. Overall I usually only go here when I need a ton of items or m making a big dinner as I seem to save quite lot vs other grocery stores. 6/30 read more

The employees are friendly... But over the last year they reorganized the store and it is now hard to find anything. The click and collect also often says they do not have an item but I will go in to check and the item will be there. They've removed many items from their inventory and left low quality ones to choose from. It's rather disappointing shopping there now... read more

I rotate between two different Superstore's in the SE depending on which one is easier to get to and I primarily only do the click and collect grocery pickup. Although I like going into pickup prescriptions, check out Joe Fresh or grab the odd thing I most often do not leave my car and just stay in the parking lot. The click and collect service here isn't as friendly as the other SE location and a few times the wait was 30+ minutes with a salty reception on the phone which is probably due to how busy they are. read more

We have been using the PC Express service at the 130th Ave SE Calgary Superstore for almost a year now. My last 3 pickups have taken over 30 minutes with todays taking 42 minutes. When I called a second time to ask about my order they said that it was delayed because customers were showing up late from the previous time slot. This would make them an hour and 45 minutes late by this time but they were arriving after me and still getting their order before me. Meanwhile, delivery employees were going car door to car door to ask if we were a particular person that they had lost the order for. My expectation if I am paying for service and where they schedule me when to show up is that my order is picked and it takes 5 minutes or less to get the cart from the door out to my vehicle. Not 40 minutes!! This has become a money-grab and has reduced the value of paying for this kind of service. read more

I really appreciate a store clerk's help when I shopped there in the morning of last Saturday (August 12,2017). I was looking for cilantro, but there was none in the section. One store clerk was busy with loading radish, so I asked another store clerk who happened to pass by me. He told me he wasn't not working for that section, but he would like to check the storage for me on the way back. He also offered to bring me 2 bunches when I told him that was I needed. In a minute, he came back with 2 bunches of fresh cilantro. I thanked him for walking extra miles to help a customer. I do hope the other store clerks will try doing the same to support shoppers there! By the way, I saw the gentleman's name tag and he is Philip. read more
