Don't shop here that often because twice I have been through the cashier checkouts and have been overcharged by $13.67 and $ 6.53. Now I only go through the self checkout. Also, I don't like to have to wait an entire year to get my membership rebate cheque. Most places I shop for my grocery needs have immediate cash points which once accumulated can be applied anytime. Their prices are about the same as Safeway and Sobeys but not as good as Real Canadian superstores. The staff are generally pretty friendly and helpful. Parking is fairly good. They do have some good sales once in awhile.

Well if you join their Co-op membership then you get to collect points and at the end of the year you get a rebate chq depending on how much you spend. To join just give 2 pieces of ID and pay $1. Its that easy. They are big and clean here. Nice to shop around. I noticed that there are more people here compared to Safeway. They have a pharmacy inside and also they have a big selection of plants. They also have free parking. I like that they accept tap or Apple Pay.

I find Superstores tend to be dirty, lack inventory, and very crowded but this location was the…read morebest of all the Superstores I've been in. The store was bright, and shelves seemed to be stocked, and even though there were people, I didn't feel it was too busy. I picked up $1 bread, sushi from a decent selection, and a premade salad for less than $3. I also got snacks for our drive home at reasonable prices. There were two entrances, and I entered from the side with the elevator. The other side had escalators and there were a lot of people hanging out at the bottom of them. They likely have a lot of activity, as during two days we twice saw firetrucks, ambulances, and police cars but during my visits, there was no activity.

Disrespectful service…read more I was buying a muffin and a drink. The self-serve checkout line was long so I decided to get in line for a cashier. In front of me was a woman with a pretty full cart, but I was willing to wait, and it seemed like the quickest option. There was no one behind me in line. When the woman in front of me had finished unloading her cart, the cashier came around the till. She made eye contact with me, glanced down at my basket with two items, and put her closed till sign behind the other woman's groceries. She then turns, looks me directly in the eyes again, and with a smile says, "find a different lane." I had two items. I understand that you needed to close, to go on break or something, but how do look a customer in the eye and tell them to find a different lane than the one they had been waiting in for about 5mins? Would it have inconvenienced you to spend an extra 2mins helping a customer? I had to go to a different line to purchase my items. I left the store angry and embarrassed. If you are going to shop here please know: 1. selection is not the best 2. use the self-checkout at ALL costs, even if the line is long

It's a gigantic chain store but I still find quite a bit of difference from store to store, and therefore a reason to review. Let's go point form to get to the meat (rear centre/right) and potatoes (far right). - Unusually friendly staff. There's a a few of them that really stick out in this location! They're so friendly that I sometimes think they're mocking me. In all reality they're just very genuinely friendly, so I take the next minute to reevaluate and correct my unnecessarily pessimistic disposition. - Shiny clean produce. This is a staple among among Safeways and a real selling feature for sure. In general, their prices are higher than many other grocery giants, but if you need mass produced produce, Safeway is a solid choice. - Huge wait times. - I've not once seen this Safeway, or really any for that matter, run at full capacity. I've seen queues with over 18 people, but there are always closed registers. For some reason I forget about it often and am kicking myself when all I need is 1 item. *Side Note* I always think it's fun when you finish purchasing your items and the cashier says "You saved $6 dollars today." Who knew?? Did you know you save money?? Huh, I must be reading my bank statement wrong because it looks like I spent well over $100. ;) See you tomorrow, Safeway.

She stood extremely close to me, which made me uncomfortable. A simple "excuse me" would have been appreciated so I knew she needed access to the machine for her card tap or override. I understand staff need to assist customers and use the checkout system, but personal space should still be respected. For some people, having someone suddenly stand that close without warning can be very uncomfortable or triggering. I hope staff can be more mindful of this in the future.

We were there pretty late but at a convenient hour for us, close to home, around 1030pm on a weeknight. I liked how the store was laid out. The produce had good selection and was of decent quality. The deli area looked so well looked after. The bakery selections rivaled many private bakeries I have visited when it came to tarts, cakes, pastries and more. In all, I liked what I saw and am anxious to shop there again and would recommend to our neighbors and friends. There were deals going on (2 for 1 marinated chicken breast packages, 2 for 1 marinated fish filets for that week) that extended my shopping list and of course I spent a little more than I meant to. But I do know that I saved more here that I would have at Co-op (my next closest grocery store choice) and I had a much better shopping experience. I am one of those ones that enjoys shopping for groceries so a good trip means a good day! Even the night staff checking us out was friendly and informative! Will be back weekly!
