I just recently had a pedicure & eyebrow wax, and every time I make an appointment, I'm seated in the chair within 5 minutes. They usually offer complimentary water or mimosa, which is always a nice touch. I'm not sure what the lady's name is who did my eyebrows, but she's absolutely amazing!

The man that did my pedicure did a horrible job filing my toe that made It look slanted and I told him to fix It and It was still crooked. Also the design he did was so low effort (supposed to be simple flower) but all he did was 6 dots on my toe and called It a day. If I wasn't in the service industry I wouldn't have tipped him so he was lucky I was generous.

The website just offers names, no actual description of the techniques/products used during the service. The woman who answered the phone was nice enough but couldn't answer my question smh. I waited several minutes for someone named Deja to come on the line and asked her to tell me a more detailed description of the facials they offered so that I could choose one. She said they cleanse your face and put 2 masks so what specific question did I have. Ummm I just asked you the specific question! I then asked her again for a simple description of each facial, it's only 3! She said the vital c is for hydrating, the acne is for acne, and the anti aging is for old people with saggy skin. WOW. I just hung up and booked somewhere else. Hopefully this business uses this opportunity to update their website as well as educate their employees (especially the person answering the phone!) on the types of services they provide. Example of a good facial description below: The ultimate Hydrafacial experience! The detox begins with Lymphatic Drainage, then, deeply cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates the skin while incorporating a Booster designed to target your specific skin concerns. This treatment concludes with LED lights therapy. Dermaplane complimentary.

The floors have food spills on them and one of the pedi chairs is completely covered in junk (stuff in bags, construction materials, etc.). I did not see instruments being consistently sterilized between clients, but it did occasionally happen. When I arrived, and I had called ahead, which I would recommend because the three technicians are very slow, I asked for a no chip refill and the man did not know what this was. Luckily, a different tech knew what this was. They do not carry Essie or OPI, so if you want quality polish, you should bring your own. The girl who did my nails did a sloppy job. There is gel on my cuticles and it is lumpy. My daughter asked for a design on her toes, which they did not do for her. Two good points, they have organized their polish by number, which makes it quick and easy to locate, and the girl that did my nails trimmed them nicely- she just can't paint them well yet. It would have helped if she had gone behind with a brush dipped in acetone to clean up the edges. Finally, if you want your eyebrows waxed, they will do it right in the front window for all to see. I would not go here again.

I am not a regular pedicure customer and had never been to apothic before. The reviews were good and honestly they had the best time opening for what I was looking for. The inside is beautiful; set inside the old Hiram Hanes Edgar Allen Poe house in historic old town Petersburg it really has a rustic vibe. It's spring time and the fresh flowers everywhere were stunning and really lifted it up. There is a little boutique in the front. A little out of my price range but some nice dresses. I was greeted promptly and guided to the mid section where my nail tech took me almost 30 min before my appointment time. I was early and she was ready. Kim did an amazing job and we had a lovely conversation. She is very down to earth, accommodating, and kind. There's only one chair so you aren't sitting in a row of strangers with their feet soaking. Preferable. The chair is very comfortable and has a massage panel. She cleaned up my eyebrows as well, asking questions about how I'd like them etc. overall a very positive experience in nails. Did not get my hair done. If you appreciate the 1 on 1 with some stuff to look at, this is it.

She took her time with me, allowed me to go back and forth before making my decision and listened to everything I wanted. She even gave me a tutorial on how to style my hair the way she was doing it so I could do it myself. She gave suggestions and even brought in other stylists to assist in decision-making. I LOVED that. Most stylists just want to get their clients in and out but she took her time with me, not once showing impatience or frustration. I felt really cared for. I received a color and a new cut. I can't tell you how sad I am that I am relocating and will not be able to book her again. I recommend this salon 100% and was completely satisfied with my service. The price for a color, cut and style? $94. Yes. That's IT! I wish I could find a stylist like this back home! You HAVE to try this place. I also had an opportunity to see another customer's makeover (went from a brunette to a highlighted blonde!) which was incredible. I have already booked my next appointment.
