As soon as I walked in, instead of being greeted with a…read moresimple "Welcome" or "Hi, let us know if you need anything," the first thing I was asked was, "Are you okay?" It immediately made me feel judged rather than welcomed. While I was in the fitting room, I was asked again if I was okay. I replied, "Yes, I'm just getting changed." After that, I heard someone respond, "Okay," followed by what sounded like chuckling. Whether it was directed at me or not, it made the situation feel even more uncomfortable. The whole experience left me feeling like the staff assumed I couldn't afford to shop there or that I didn't belong in the store. I can't know what they were thinking, but that's genuinely how their behavior came across to me. I left feeling embarrassed, unwelcome, and unlikely to return. I hope the staff can be more mindful of how they greet and treat customers so everyone feels respected, regardless of how they look when they walk through the door. When I did leave they were very nice. But that might only be because they saw I could actually afford something.

First and foremost I absolutely disagree with those mean spirited reviews!!! I frequent this boutique quite often and I can say whole heartedly that I have NEVER heard her utter a racist word. On the contrary, I find her to be very engaging with all her customers regardless of race or religion. That review is shallow and is almost certainly from a disgruntled employee who most likely was terminated due to their lack of performance. To think that she would speak ill of customers is ridiculous and is obviously a smear campaign against a hard working business woman. I hope people don't buy into this and visit this establishment so they can see first hand that this is a farce. read more

Just discovered this cute boutique in Roslyn. I never leave home without my doggie Roxy. I was on a mission to find a special gift for my besties birthday. Everyone there was very friendly and very informative. The service was impeccable. The first thing they did was to offer my Roxy a treat, so cute. Then we got to work. So many great jewlery options. When I took out my phone and asked her to take a picture of me in the gown, she said photos are not allowed. What?! What century is she from? You can find photos of any designer's collection online and most boutiques carry the same styles. It was not an exclusive to their store! I ended up buying a different gown from the same designer elsewhere. Now my younger son is getting married and I definitely will not be returning to Mieka. Judging from the reviews, the Greenvale store has better customer service. If you must, go there, and avoid the Woodbury location.
