Last time I came here I had a concussion, which was a bummer because that meant I forgot to review it. The food here is really old, which sounds like a bad thing but in this case it's actually really good because it's sourdough that's been aged for nine years (kinda like how cheese does that I think). They kinda incorporate it into every single part of the meal, which is really cool. I mean if you have a theme stick to it, you go girl! It also kinda feels like a mining company store in here, which is really silly. I don't remember our servers name, half of my party think it's Eric and the other half think it's Evan, but either way he was mega awesome sauce (I just asked and his name is Torin, we were really far off sorry). The deserts were heavenly, the Tiramisu was beautiful and you can tell they made it in house. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE COOKIES!! Woah dude, they were crazy. This was one of those meals where everyone at the table kept going quiet because we were too busy eating! I'm celiac so eating out can be tough, but they had legit gluten-free options that didn't feel like an afterthought. The GF meatballs were incredible, the pizza crust was one of the best I've ever had (actually crisp, not sad and floppy), and the GF chocolate chip cookie??? Dangerous. In the best way! First, it would be nice if there weren't an upcharge for the vegan and gluten-free options. We didn't do a lot of research before deciding to have dinner at Tin Plate Pizza on Thursday 9/4/25, but it didn't take much arm twisting to get the family to come here. The reviews were so positive and with so many reviews posted within hours prior to our research it was a no brainer this is where we were getting pizza. We appreciated the story of the owners taking an interest in preserving the history of the building and all the unique sitting options. We got got the meatball appetizer and the Meatball Appetizer, Braised Buffalo Short Rib and the Peach & Prosciutto Pizzas. Everything was very tasty including the Smoked Miners Old Fashion. As other reviewers have articulated, the staff was enjoyable to interact with, Dale did a great job of answering our questions and making recommendations. Their sourdough crust pizzas are so good and their lunch deal is great! For the lunch deal you get a salad or soup, a personal size pizza, and a desert for just a bit more than their pizzas normally are. Great local spot for pizza. Got a spot at the bar on Thursday evening with no wait. We ordered the mushroom soup, caprese salad, and pepperoni pizza. The mushroom soup was absolutely delicious--a must order! The salad was a miss unfortunately; it was a mush of overripe tomatoes and blobs of cheese and was not very appetizing. Moving on to the pizza--this was the star of the show and had a delicious chewy sourdough crust. We added mushrooms and pancetta to ours which was so yummy. Each time I've gone up to Breckenridge the past few years, I've made it a point to have dinner at The Tin Plate. You definitely need to get a reservation (regardless of time of year in my experience) and you should expect a lively environment (I.e., loudish) and tight quarters. Service is fantastic though and if you can get a table upstairs, the ambience is fantastic. I have only ever gotten the pizza here, the last time made using their 9 year old sourdough starter... and I haven't been disappointed from any of my visits. The sauce is tasty and all the toppings I've tried are great. They have a full bar and lots of Colorado draft beers to try. The history of the building is a great thing to read about (back story is on the menu), or ask your server. read more

They have many GF and DF options including pizza crust, rolls, and a GF dessert option, which was such a very pleasant surprise to see. Yum!! We stopped in on a Friday at lunch time and were sat immediately. We didn't partake in any libations but the bar looked delicious and well stocked. The pizza menu was super unique! We went with a pesto chicken pizza to split as we planned to have snacks as we strolled the town so we didn't want to get too full. We were both plenty full after splitting and the pizza itself was DELICIOUS! It had the classic neapolitan thinness to it and amazing flavor. The chicken was also fresh and delicious tasting. Our waitress was super kind and attentive and the bar tender even checked in on us while she checked on other tables. The pizza did take a bit to come out but that's alright, it was fresh and hot. The fact that this place gets such a high rating again proves to me that Coloradans have no taste. The gluten-ful crust is trying to be gluten free - probably out of envy? Not quite a cracker crust but no chew to speak of and no yeast aroma. The sausage pizza ($25/12") sausage was struggling to out-flavor the cheese, which was thin to begin with. The fig/prosciutto pizza was as sweet as a desert - never again. They can't be bothered to chop the romaine in my ceasar salad which was better than the pizza. Did not taste any yuzu, not a ton of dressing or flavor. Did have nice toasted bread crumbs. The meatballs were a little dry. Tomato sauce had a good tang to it and meatball was seasoned pretty well. The star here is the pizza. They use a sour dough starter from NY. The pizza had a crunch outside with soft chewey inside. The peach and pancetta pizza was great. Goat cheese very creamy with some saltiness and the balsamic glaze was nice and sweet. The crust was great and had a nice saltiness to it and tang from the sourdough. You could taste the peach, so rare in food that the peach can actually be tasted. Really enjoyed this pizza. Pineapple pancetta was an elevated Hawaiian pizza. The prickled red radish is dynamite here adding nice bite of tang and the pineapple was sweet. Pancetta had nice saltiness rounding out the flavors. Buffalo braised short rib is a must. Braised short rib was really tender, had great flavor. Arugula gave a little slight crunch texture with pepperiness and and pickled red onions added the tang. Was a really great bite of food. We hit this place up the first day in Breck as it was a place that we had recommended to us as the best pizza in the world. Ok, I gotta tell you I hate when people say that because it honestly builds it up so big that it is impossible to meet the expectations. However, we did really like the sourdough crust and the vibe of the place. We went for lunch and got the lunch special which is a slight smaller pizza, with a salad and a dessert. I did the mixed green salad (which was light and good), a chicken prosciutto ranch pizza with a balsamic glaze and a snickerdoodle cookie for dessert. Hubby did same salad, pepperoni and chocolate chip cookie - I think it was $24/each for lunch - which was not bad at all for what we got. Crust was crispy and had good flavor. It was really thing, so honestly I thought it would be better more tavern style (with toppings to the edge and square cut), but they did it traditional. That was fine, but it was too chewy for me. The toppings were great, but warning the balsamic glaze is SWEET, almost too sweet for me! Cookies were good, but again over the top sweet. I suppose I just ordered a bit wrong as everything seemed extremely sweet. Service was nice and attentive. Good vibes all around. I would go back. A decent place to hang and get a pie! read more

Everyone at our table thought the same. Their white pizza had interesting and tasty ingredients including the almonds. Their fig and prosciutto pie was expected and anticipated, but even better with the crust. Their kid's pepperoni and cheese pies made for even better sourdough bites. We even tried the braised short rib pie. Everyone at our table liked it except for me, because I'm just not into the rich braised flavor on a pizza. I saw the Yelp review by that one man saying how "this is the best pizza he's ever eaten". And...I just want to echo that sentiment LOL this is actually one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. I always have at least one meal at Tin Plate Pizza whenever I'm in Breckenridge. The sourdough crust is made from their six-year-old starter and is unbelievably flavorful, crunchy on the outside with a good chew on the inside. The toppings are unique as well but all of the flavor combinations make so much sense. The pizzas are considered "artisan" so they're a bit pricier at around $25 (or $30+ for the short rib buffalo pizza) and the pizzas are smaller at around 12". I think the price is worth it and the smaller pizza sizes means that you can order more variety to share! Here are the pizzas we ordered on our most recent trip: -- Braised Buffalo Short Rib: so good! The favorite for many of my group. The caramelized onions on top were a nice touch -- Bolognese: this one was my favorite. It came out piping hot with gooey mozzerella. -- Butternut: I never thought that goat cheese and butternut would go well together but this really works. There's honey on top so this pizza is slightly sweet! -- Margherita: simple yet delicious! We also ordered the meatballs, Caesar salad, tender greens salad, and the mussels in cream sauce. The mussels were amazing! Our server said it's her fav item on the menu. I don't see the mussels in the online ordering section so this may be a dine-in item only. Everything else we tried was pretty fantastic. The service was great. I loved the ambiance of the little log cabin. The wait for a table honestly was not too bad.
