After some leaf peeping over Boreas Pass and strolling/shopping through town, we found ourselves hungry! There are plenty of food options in Breck and with the random downpour of rain, I wanted something warm. SO, Tin Plate entered the picture! SPACE: Parking is awkward in this town and you must pay pretty much anywhere you go. We were able to snag a spot right out front, so yay! The space is tiny, mighty and wonky - with every inch of space utilized. For storage, seating, waiting or dining. Upon entry, is the host stand which everyone congregates at (even with a wait) really impacting the diners that are seated next to the host. Three tables for diners is set right where a bench would be perfect for those waiting, but such is life. After we put our name on the small wait list, we made our way downstairs to "wait" which was awkward in itself. The singular bench near the bathroom was the only seating area with us (and others) standing around the racks of dough in the hallway towards the bathroom, leading folks who needed the restroom to inquire time and time again if we were in line. BAH. Once our name was called, we followed the host up the 15 stairs to the "attic" dining area which was filled with tables and chairs, creating a unique and intimate spot. ** Def give props to the servers running up and down those stairs for drinks, food and other! SERVICE: From start to finish, we encountered the nicest people! The host welcomed us nicely, server was attentive and friendy, and all around nice!! SUSTENANCE: The food really shines here as everything is made in house! I love sourdough pizza and this did not disappoint! I opted to try their special - consisting of 3 courses for $25 - allowing me to sample more of the menu! A rustic mushroom soup to start, chicken pesto pizza as my main and a freshly baked cookie for dessert! The others got pizzas to share - Spicy pepperoni and ham + pineapple! Everything came out in decent time, was pretty in presentation and tasted delicious! Pricing is decent considering it's the mountains and the quality of ingredients was worth it to me! I liked the sourdough crust, but it's a bit pricey for what it is. The pizzas may be considered "personal size", but really unless you're starving, two people can share 1 pizza. We had leftovers and the next day someone in my family commented that the sourdough had gotten even more sour - it wasn't a bad thing, but more of an observation and a testimony to how legit the sourdough is! The Butcher's Block pizza is good and has a bit of a kick to it (possibly from the pepperoni). The Cheese was pretty standard and straightforward. Everything was tasty, but just not quite worth the price for me. Service felt a hair slow with getting seated and getting our orders placed, but it was fairly busy so perhaps they were a little short staffed. Before we made it up to Breckenridge for the day, I looked up best restaurants in Breckenridge and this one popped up. We also saw that it was dog friendly so it was a win-win unfortunately it started to rain before we got there so we decided to order takeout. The food was super fast and you go into the bar area for pick up and the bartender Abbie was very nice and accommodating. She really turned this into a five star review. This is a cute restaurant in Breckenridge and I'm happy we tried it. We were a party of 6 and our waitress was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the Oaxacan old fashioned and half pepperoni and half sausage with spinach and jalapeño peppers. Tim Plate is the first excellent place! The crust is solid. The sauce is good. I'd try extra sauce next time--that may improve my rating. The cheese is amazing--might try extra cheese to enhance it. Tin Plate Pizza is a must-visit, especially for lunch--the lunch deal is absolutely unbeatable. For $25 per person, you get the perfect amount of food and an incredible value for the quality. This pizza place has options for those who are gluten-free and/or vegan, including gluten-free pizza crust and vegan cheese. I have two requests. First, it would be nice if there weren't an upcharge for the vegan and gluten-free options. Second, the restaurant offers several options for dipping sauces, and the portion for these dipping sauces could be larger--I ran out of my dipping sauce before finishing my half of the 12" pizza. For $25 you have your choice of soup or salad, 10" pizza and cookie for dessert. Don't let the 10" pizza fool you, it's plenty large enough. The pizza is great. My husband ordered the sausage and I ordered the chicken pesto. Our kids opted for cheese and Pepperoni. We ended up bringing half of my pizza home and 1/3 of our kids. We didn't do a lot of research before deciding to have dinner at Tin Plate Pizza on Thursday 9/4/25, but it didn't take much arm twisting to get the family to come here. The reviews were so positive and with so many reviews posted within hours prior to our research it was a no brainer this is where we were getting pizza. We appreciated the story of the owners taking an interest in preserving the history of the building and all the unique sitting options. We got got the meatball appetizer and the Meatball Appetizer, Braised Buffalo Short Rib and the Peach & Prosciutto Pizzas. Everything was very tasty including the Smoked Miners Old Fashion. As other reviewers have articulated, the staff was enjoyable to interact with, Dale did a great job of answering our questions and making recommendations. For the lunch deal you get a salad or soup, a personal size pizza, and a desert for just a bit more than their pizzas normally are. Each time I've gone up to Breckenridge the past few years, I've made it a point to have dinner at The Tin Plate. You definitely need to get a reservation (regardless of time of year in my experience) and you should expect a lively environment (I.e., loudish) and tight quarters. Service is fantastic though and if you can get a table upstairs, the ambience is fantastic. I have only ever gotten the pizza here, the last time made using their 9 year old sourdough starter... and I haven't been disappointed from any of my visits. The sauce is tasty and all the toppings I've tried are great. They have a full bar and lots of Colorado draft beers to try. The history of the building is a great thing to read about (back story is on the menu), or ask your server. read more

Each pizza comes with about 6 slices so we bought 4 pizzas for 5 people and had a whole pizza left over for later. Below I have what we ordered and how I'd rank it from 1-10. Sausage (7.3)- The sausage is really good, I just didn't care too much for the other stuff on this pizza. I'd rather there be more sausage lol. Pesto (8.9)- Favorite I've tried! I would never order the pesto, chicken with balsamic glaze on a pizza but someone in our party did and it was fantastic! White (8.2)- Delish! Has some hints of lemon that I didn't read in the description. I enjoyed it but I know some people don't. Really good white pizza! read more

I'm celiac so eating out can be tough, but they had legit gluten-free options that didn't feel like an afterthought. Yum!! We stopped in on a Friday at lunch time and were sat immediately. We didn't partake in any libations but the bar looked delicious and well stocked. The pizza menu was super unique! We went with a pesto chicken pizza to split as we planned to have snacks as we strolled the town so we didn't want to get too full. We were both plenty full after splitting and the pizza itself was DELICIOUS! It had the classic neapolitan thinness to it and amazing flavor. The chicken was also fresh and delicious tasting.
