I was visiting family for the holidays and my husband and sister in law were trying to find cool…read morespots to grab food, drinks and listen to music. It was a Friday night, we arrived around 8pm and the restaurant was so busy and full of life. Music was blasting, ranging from reggaeton, to regional mexicana/banda, to pop. The prices for the food and drinks were all super cheap as well, so we knew we'd be ordering multiple items. Probably the best item we had was the arrachera quesadilla (can't remember the actual name in the menu for it). Our waiter was a young guy, constantly coming by asking if we wanted to add on to our order. We had multiple rounds of tequila shots and some mixed drinks, but definitely felt like the liquor was watered down. Before we took off, we even danced a couple of songs, giving us a club feel. Overall we loved it so much we had decided to come back the following Tuesday with more family. Well....we were left so disappointed. Everything was completely different. We arrived around 10, figured it being a Tuesday before Christmas Eve, it wouldn't be too busy. It seems that it was a lot busier than the restaurant had expected because they were definitely understaffed. Our waiter probably took 20 minutes to come to us to take our drink order and when he finally did, he stood in one end of the table struggling to hear us from the opposite end over the loud music. Don't understand why he couldn't simply walk over to our side. We waited another 10 minutes to actually get the drinks and for him to come around again to take our food order. Since service was so slow, we tried going straight to the bar and get drinks there, but they wouldn't take our orders because they had to be placed with our waiter. Food was pretty much the same, with the exception of the kitchen running out of multiple items by 11:30. I would have given this place 5 stars on the first visit alone: cheap food and drinks (great food quality for the value), absolutely great ambiance and fast/attentive service. But because we came back again and had such terrible and slow service, I'm giving them 3 stars.

I have had multiple negative experiences with Audrey as a bartender. In my opinion, she is…read moreextremely unprofessional and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for customers. I've personally witnessed her being aggressive toward patrons, including throwing water on customers and attempting to start confrontations. I've also seen her get on top of the bar during arguments, which I felt was completely inappropriate behavior for someone working in customer service. I've also observed her acting as though she owns the bar, despite not being the owner. When she sees customers she doesn't like, she has told other bartenders not to serve them and has claimed that she has the authority to have people removed from the establishment. This behavior creates a hostile and unwelcoming environment for customers. Overall, my experiences with Audrey have been disappointing. A bartender should be professional, respectful, and focused on providing good service. Instead, her behavior has negatively impacted the atmosphere of the bar and made it a place I no longer enjoy visiting.

We had already had so much great Mexican food in Santa Fe, so while we were looking for similar, we were also intrigued by the menu and some things we had never heard of. We dined here on a Tuesday night, and it was completely empty! We were so surprised and wondered if we made a mistake, but we also noticed the restaurant is fairly new. The space was large, cool, and trendy, and the service was great. We really enjoyed our food -- my favorite was the ceviche camaron! While nothing could ever get me to say that something tops a margarita with Mexican fare, the cantarito was refreshing and tasty. We got a total of 3 drinks, 3 entrees, and the ceviche, and the bill was under $80, with tip. We'll be flying back to Virginia and won't be able to return again, but I hope more people try this place and review it to bring in some more visitors and locals...it deserves it!

We were harassed by a couple of older regulars--a guy and his buddy--who kept calling us "SLOW" for no apparent reason. It was unnecessary, rude, and really soured the mood. You'd hope for a welcoming neighborhood spot, but this felt more like a hostile "locals-only" club where if you don't fit a certain mold, you aren't welcome. To make matters worse, the service didn't help. The bartender was extremely awkward and made the interaction feel forced and weird, rather than hospitable. Between the insults from the other customers and the strange energy from behind the bar, we couldn't wait to leave. Bottom line: If you're looking for a friendly, inclusive place to grab a drink, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. We won't be back. 2/21 around 4pm
