Came here for the first time on a Saturday for the turtle races. They had a $40 all you can drink deal so that was a great deal! You were able to get the unlimited drinks from 9:30 pm until about 12:30 am. It was awesome you got a paper where you bet on the turtle winner for each race and if you won you got a green tea shot! The girl bartenders were super nice! The owners of the bar also own the turtles and they are taken care of very well. My friend and I had a lot of fun and we will def be back! read more

We were visiting Chicago for the weekend and decided to catch the Lions game here and it did not disappoint!! As soon as we walked in, my boyfriend said 'we have found our people!' and he was not wrong!! The atmosphere here reminds me of the college bars at Michigan State and I wouldn't have it any other way!! The energy from the crowd is infectious and feels like the best comraderie!! We felt right at home cheering on the Lions' win against Washington! I wish I remembered the bartender's name but she had on all black, shoulder length dark brown hair and blue eyes, she was amazingly accommodating! She found us a table even though it was PACKED and we weren't aware we needed a reservation. She quickly got us drinks and snacks and was very attentive! The prices were great at what you'd imagine for bar prices, we paid $10 for a draft tall boy beer and shot of whiskey! We only had onion rings so I can't review the food. Went with friends for turtle racing on a Saturday. Not too busy, but a good crowd. Wristbands are for 9:30-12:30, first race starts at 10:30 and they're spaced out from there. They were out of all seltzers which was a bummer, but you can get any well drink or beer with the wristband, so no big deal. Really liked not having to worry about a tab throughout the night. The food was really just typical bar food (pizza and byo nachos) but like the food was hot and plenty and accessible for most of the time! They had a "buffet" of chips, salsa, queso pretzels and pizza. All edible and fine but nothing you couldn't find in the freezer section or a can. The drinks were all fine as well. It was extremely frustrating finding information between the bar's website and Yelp, so here it is: Turtle racing is open to the public, but if you want to have a betting card, you need to purchase a ticket. A ticket gets you basic bar food (pizza and nachos) and drink discounts. Turtle races started at 7pm and happened every 20 minutes. The turtles appear to be well loved. Mainly, my partner and I came here for the turtle race tickets. The tickets came with pizza, nachos, well drinks, and domestic beer. Personally, we didn't care too much about the plastic cups and would have preferred glass cups even if we don't keep the cup! While the pizza was pretty good, the nachos and salsa was just kind of meh. However a good amount of drinks can really make a difference! Our bartender was absolutely amazing and extremely kind! We do wish that the turtle races were posted somewhere for what time that they started. We got there at 545 and waited until 745 when the races started. However, we were able to meet and pet some of the turtles, which was really cool! Overall, this was a very fun time to be had. read more

Having attended MSU I'm very familiar with MSU canpus bars and this felt exactly like that. We reserved a table to watch and MSU football game and we're right next to the bar which was great for when I wanted to order drinks but a little annoying because that's also where other people came to order drinks. The drink deals were reasonable for Chicago and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. However I don't think I'd come here as I get older, definitely a younger crowd which I don't mind but would feel out of place if I was 5 years older. read more

We had a great time at Tin Lizzie's Turtle Racing over the weekend. The bar was super festive, all decked out for Christmas! We tried some of their Christmas cocktails. I highly recommend the Yule Mule, so good! We ordered the mozzarella sticks and onion rings for apps, both were amazing. They have a wristband deal for 3 hours of unlimited drinks which included a pizza with chips and salsa. Highly recommend the wristband deal, totally worth it for only $40! Turtle races started at 7:45 pm but we got there early at 6 pm to enjoy the full package deal. The turtle races are such a fun time, cheering on for your favorite turtle which are named after the Ninja Turtles! Winners get a free shot! After the turtle races were done, the party did not stop! Shots were being poured out all night and the vibes kept going strong. We had a great time and the staff was very welcoming and kind. Stopped in on a weekday with a friend to watch the Red Wings game and she wasn't able to get it on...the detroit bar who advertises Detroit sports, including the Red Wings, didn't have ESPN + or any drink specials during the game. She did mention that they'd have it working for later games and that their system had an update but she just put on NHL network and called it a day. Haven't been back to see if it's true. Bought espn+ myself so just watch the games at home now. They also didn't have any food which was weird because pictures and their website show a food menu. One cool thing is that they do have board games you can play and the lights and decor is pretty cool. May try to go back for a detroit game, but will definitely call first to ask if they will have it on. read more

Horrific bouncer, brought my little brother in who is 21, going on 22, who is also a TRANS MAN. The bouncer checks his ID and then after deciding he's not masculine enough, says "I've been doing this a long time, it's fake; I don't need to scan this". Then tells me he is going to call the police. After calling him on this bluff, he tells me I need to call the police. I'll be reaching out to management in the morning but as it stands, the bouncer wrongfully confiscated my younger brothers ID because "he's been doing this a long time". Also, pretty sure you can't vape indoors but I guess that doesn't apply to him. read more

$40 for unlimited well drinks and beer with a taco bar. The bartender was nice but the well drinks were basically watered down juice. The nacho bar was mediocre. Pasta was tasteless and bland. Pizza and the breadsticks were pretty much the only good food items. Stick to the beers and seltzers for a better deal. They took away the food bar earlier than it was written so make sure to get there early for the most value. There weren't any giveaways or entertainment really. The actual turtle racing was pretty fun with a fun crowd though. There are 4 races with a free green tea shot for every race you win. Make sure to stand around the track early to get the best view although they live stream the races on the TVs. In the downtime before and between the races there were board games to play.
