Not the best experience. Can't say I'm in a rush to get back. I was looking forward to coming here for a while and finally got the chance on Sunday for breakfast. This establishment is in Orting and we had been told it wasn't the safest or most welcoming place for black people. I can't say I got that impression from the service I received today even with the inconvenience we experienced. Long story short, we waited over an hour for the food to come out and it was a little underwhelming. Long story long, my family and I showed up at 12:05 for breakfast and they were busy. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seated and about 5 minutes to put in drink and food orders. We ordered a side of potatoes, 2 orders of the biscuits and gravy with eggs, the lemon blueberry French toast and the classic eggs Benedict. It was an hour before the server let us know our food would be out soon. Within that time, we were checked on twice for drink refills. We watched tables come in, eat and leave. 15 minutes after the server let us know our food was coming out soon, it still hadn't come and we were looking to pay and leave. She said it was coming right up and showed up about 5 minutes later. One plate of biscuits and gravy had an old dry crumbly crunchy biscuit and one fresh biscuit. The gravy was tasty and plentiful, but a little looser than expected. The lemon blueberry French toast was tasty and looked appetizing, but was not hot enough to melt the accompanying lemon butter. The eggs Benedict was flavorful, but the English muffins were soggy. The ham was good quality and the hollandaise sauce was tasty, but had developed a film. We asked for boxes as soon as it came out and noticed we didn't get everything we ordered. Our server comped our drinks and removed the side of potatoes we didn't get. She apologized for the wait and offered a dessert for the inconvenience. She was very kind and the only reason Tim's gets 3 stars instead of one. For cultural context, we were the only black people there. There was only one other person who wasn't Caucasian in the entire establishment and we saw no non-whites in the community on the way there. The service was a genuine concern coming in, but our server worked diligently to remedy the inconvenience. Our guess was they ran out of biscuits halfway through our order being prepared. So it probably sat for quite some time before it got to us once the new biscuits were done, instead of remaking it so it was all fresh. Just wish they would have told us or warned us instead of waiting for us to complain. If that was the case and we were made aware, we would have ordered different things way ahead of the 1 hour mark. We didn't leave until after 1:30 and were quite dissatisfied with the quality of the food. I would t recommend this place to anyone, but I wouldn't protest anyone trying it either. I most likely won't go back anytime soon and don't see myself visiting this establishment in different cities either.

Place was clean and the service was nice but the food was really off, no flavor and the corned beef tasted powdered/canned, the potatoes and eggs were very bland as well, we enjoyed the toast but that was about it

Nice place, good atmosphere. There's a little train that runs around the entire place which was neat. The service was good past the initial 10 minutes. We kinda got forgotten about in the beginning, we got a table a saw other groups who had arrived after us get their food orders taken before we got drinks. Food was ok. I got the meat lovers stacker, and though the potatoes were a bit undercooked it was pretty much what I wanted. The plate it came on was a little small, so I kept dropping bits off the side onto the table. Coffee was typical diner coffee, and my cup never went empty.

Just look at the photo. Tons of food for a great price and really good fried chicken. I love to have mashed potatoes for lunch. All was great.

To be honest, the couple of times when we came the food was not as good as the last time, so this most recent visit I did not come with high hopes, its more for old time sake! But to my surprise, the food this time was decent, and was refilled a few times while we were there. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, tho its not as busy as before, we hope that Golden Corral Buffet can survive the harsh economic times!!

I will say the only thing that annoyed me was the fact that the server has to bring you your drinks and refills, also forks...so that was blah.....it's American food and they have a selection of some fish which was nice also steak.... Unfortunately for me being my first time I asked the guy who was grilling the steak if I could get 2 mid rare steaks.....he said it will be 4-5 minutes for the steaks to be done , I said I was wondering if I could get them in about 15 minutes or so ....he got an attitude and was like I said they will be ready in 4-5 minutes that's what I'm telling you! Well excuse me sir...first I have never ever have been to a buffet where you get a steak cut into a quarter size piece. I've only gotten whole steaks...(facts)...what a ass**** I heard from a couple other customers that he always has a terrible attitude....so there's that. I saw that another guy was grilling and thought I should try again and speak with him... he was very nice and understanding as to what I was asking, he gave me perfect mid rare steaks (whole) I was taking them to go anyways 10.99 a pound is a little steep but I will say for the steaks I got it was worth it on that part. All around the server we had and the hostess was very friendly too....the other food was decent....although 10 dollars for child for an 8 year old is a lot especially when you have a child like mine who doesn't eat a lot of different varieties of food...maybe French fries and cheese pizza would of been nice of the menu , even chicken nuggets lol, just for some of those children who stick to what they know. He didn't eat anything so I felt has if my 10 dollars were waisted...oh well . lol. I would definitely go back again & maybe leave the little one at home. it also wasn't busy which I really liked a lot I don't go many places when they are to crowded...Tuesday around 5pm was a great time to go as well..... I thought it was pretty cool that they offer beer and white claws ...I'll definitely get one next time. At the end we had a great time....i should have took more pictures but I only have one of the steaks...& the Togo box I got...

I understand restaurants get busy, and I'm usually pretty patient, but the service just wasn't there. We waited nearly 30 minutes just to get a refill on our water, and throughout the meal it felt like we were being brushed off. Whether it was intentional or not, it honestly made us feel unwelcome. What really left a bad impression was the automatic gratuity added to the bill. I don't mind tipping for good service--in fact, I usually tip well--but when the service falls short and the gratuity is already included, it doesn't sit right with me. Had the service matched the prices, I would've gladly left a great review and an even better tip. The food was decent, but unfortunately the overall experience was overshadowed by the service. Since we were only visiting, we won't be returning, and based on our experience, I can't recommend this place.
