The raw oysters are fresh, salty, and shucked right in front of you at the counter, while the chargrilled oysters are rich, buttery, and packed with garlic and cheese goodness. Beyond the oysters, classic Cajun staples like the seafood gumbo, jambalaya, and crisp po' boys hit the spot every time. The atmosphere is bustling, energetic, and full of historic French Quarter charm. If you want authentic seafood and classic NOLA vibes, Acme is a must-visit!

The environment reminds me a dive bar by the water, not fine dining. Pia served us promptly with our drinks, gave her suggestions on the menu pointing out her favorites, and took our appetizer order. We started with a dozen of the chargrilled oysters. They were served with a few pieces of baguette bread and lemon. It took a little while for them to come out, but when they hit the table, they were the garlicky, buttery goodness I was anticipating. For entrees we had the bowl of gumbo and plate of red beans and rice with the grilled sausage. All the staples of the NO. The food was really good and left us satisfied. I would definitely come back to try the boom boom shrimp, gator bites and boudin egg rolls !

Our waiter, Jonathan, made the experience unforgettable. He took the time to sit down with us, walk us through the menu, and share his recommendations--and every single one was spot on. We ordered the blackened redfish, catfish, gumbo, savory cheesecake, bread pudding, and vanilla bean crème brûlée. Every dish was outstanding! And we can't forget the cornbread--the aroma of warm butter hits you the moment it's placed on your table. It was the perfect way to start the meal. What really stood out was the staff. Every waiter worked together as a team, helping one another and creating such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they do, and it made the entire dining experience even more special. From the incredible food to the exceptional service and inviting ambiance, everything was top-notch. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to dine here--you won't regret it! A special thank you to Jonathan from the family from Texas for making our visit so memorable. We'll definitely be back!

I think toasting the inner surface and leaving the outside soft would be a bit easier to eat. My friend had the cheese fries as her side...these fries are amazing.
