My 20-year old son and 10-year-old daughter had appointments for 3:00 and 3:30 today. We were not put into a room until 4:25. At 4:35, Dr. Wyhatt comes in, looks at my son's foot (this was a follow up visit for my son), talks to us about his foot, and that is it (total time, 15 minutes maximum). He then states his assistant would be in to clean up and he would be back.
So we waited, and waited some more. I suddenly had a feeling the doctor went to visit ANOTER patient and sure enough he had, making my 10-year-old daughter WAIT. My children and I had been there for 2 HOURS at this point. When the Dr. returned, I questioned him. I told him we had been there for 2 hours at this point and why he would see another patient in-between my appointments and make me wait longer. Well, his whole demeanor changed! He turned rude and was NOT happy about being questioned about his lack of time management. So guess what he did....HE LEFT. YUP! He got up, said, "obviously I've wasted too much of your time, you can leave now" and that was it. I said, as a paying customer, I had the right to ask the question, but he didn't care. I also make it clear that the was walking out on a 10-year-old CHILD. Nope, that didn't matter either. He had absolutely no professionalism whatsoever and acted like a complete jerk. Yes, I did tell him he was acting like a jerk.
May I also state that he said he waited to see my daughter because his equipment had to be sterilized (after using with my son)...here's a thought...put my daughter in ANOTHER ROOM that was ready for us. That way we would not have had to wait longer.
He is known for seeing elderly patients. Imagine he had made your mother or father wait for 2 hours and then decide you weren't worthy of being seen. Just remember, he walked out on a 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL. read more
