I'm a nurse, and worked with Dr Odom during his residency. I was so impressed with him, I remember thinking "if Dr Odom opens a practice locally--I'm going to HIM!" Thankfully, that was the case. He's very smart, he listens, and then provides thoughtful, quality healthcare. His Nurse Practitioner, Erin, is wonderful as well. They stay very busy! Book early--they're worth it!!

The several visits I've had there overall they were quite pleasant from the minute I came in until I left. When you're in pain you feel like the whole world is your enemy and you want someone to understand and treat you with kindness & care and to my surprise I was greeted kindly upon arrival, treated with care for my pain issues, and upon leaving I was greeted warmly. I've have great experiences with Robin, Brandy, Kendall, Nurses Kelly & Jessica, and Dr. Calderin who has left, and even greater experiences with Dr. Valentine. Dr Valentine is absolutely a great doctor with an even greater bedside manner. He actually listens to you and will take good care of you.

I've requested support multiple times, including a case worker, social worker, and a referral to UF SmartDriver, as my father has been becoming angrier and more aggressive. His behavior has directly impacted my mother's care, as he prematurely signed her out of urgent care against medical advice, which nearly cost her life due to his cognitive decline. This lack of support and communication is unacceptable, especially given the gravity of the situation.

Smiling friendly faces thru out the office and staff. Dr Vincent is what ALL doctors should be - he listens and takes his time to get to know what is going on and talks to you as a patient to see where and how he can help you - Me and my daughter could never say enough awesome things about this doctor. My daughter is terrified of doctors and for 21 years has never felt comfortable speaking to a doctor to explain her issue that she is having - Dr Kevin Vincent she talks to and he was able to help her get moving in the right direction. This says ALOT for a doctor that can relate and work with a terrified patient that usually is having a panic attack by just walking in a doctors office. The comfort starts at the lobby and carries it way all the way thru to the Doctor. If we had more offices like this the world would be a better place. Dr Kevin Vincent and staff please keep up the GREAT work - your office atmosphere is more then amazing , it is great to see people that enjoy their job/career and are truly there to help. Outstanding!!!!!!

The Orthopedic Institute (and physical therapy center) in Alachua is a blessing to those of us in…read morethis city and surrounding areas. Rather than having to drive to their main location on Newberry Road in Gainesville, we have physicians as well as a complete physical therapy center right here in Alachua. My review today is about the physical therapy center. I have been to the Center for various things dating back to 2013. Chris, the physical therapist, meets with you during your first visit to do an intake assessment. He has a wonderful and caring personality and talks with you to learn more about your injury and your needs. He also discusses your goals to see where you want to be. After doing his assessment he develops a physical therapy plan for you and you typically start your treatment that day (at least I have). My treatment plan usually requires coming to the office twice a week. When you enter, you sign in and then one of the physical therapy assistants will get you started. I won't discuss specific treatment plans because everyone is different but I will say that the office is not overly crowded, you do get personalized attention, and it is a fun atmosphere. I enjoy talking with the staff as well as the other clients. So, if you are ever in need of physical therapy, I suggest you give the Alachua center of the orthopedic institute a try. They can get you on the track to good health and help you meet or exceed your goals.

I saw one doctor for more than a year who never listened to any of my concerns and only focused on my weight as someone who has always been slender my entire life. She would literally focus on me being TWO pounds weight difference in a one month span instead of listening to my concerns. Today I told another doctor in the same office that one of the referrals they had given me was a really bad fit for me and I didn't wish to continue with said referral. The doctor immediately jumped to insisting I was the problem instead of the referral who made it very clear she had no clue what she was doing (she told me she never handled clients for my reason of referral and kept leaving to consult another doctor)... It's been my experience that the doctors of this office are assumptive, judgmental, and aren't fully concerned with the wellbeing of their patients...
