Then one day he walked in with a shadow and asked if it was ok if he could join in. When I learned that this kid was actually going to be replacing Dr Benton I can admit I was a little worried. He was young and Dr Benton had some pretty big shoes to fill. But, I trusted Dr. Benton and if he was turning over his patients to Dr. Powers then surely he knew he had picked the right man for the job. And of course he did. Though I do suppose it's possible that anyone can have a bad day, I want to make a point to vouch for the Rick I've known for years. He is consistently one of the most joyful and caring people I've ever met. My family will make a point to pop into his office anytime we're in, just to say hi and see his smile. Also, I don't know of any answering machines that have selective services. They treated us just fine when we were on Medicaid. He'll do whatever he can to fit you in. He is a generous, compassionate soul. Closed Friday thru Sunday, when open you'll often find his happy staff decorating the office for whatever holiday is near. There's a section in the waiting area for children-- complete w/ toys & books, & there's amble parking in the large lot. When I had bronchitis & my primary care physician was unavailable, Dr. Punja phoned in an RX for me w/in an hour. He's an incredible allergist w/ an excellent practice.
