I believe they are not pleased with my review that they felt they had to defend themselves. Let me tell you that my experience was so upsetting that I made a consumer complaint with the state of Texas attorney general. The doctor, who by the way was never present during this ordeal, first says on my review response that they are sorry I had a bad experience because that is unheard of of their business. Other review websites say otherwise. Then, right after their "sorry" I was told that I was "belligerent" and "hostile" they could no longer provide services. Well, first of all they NEVER provided any type of services. I was not belligerent and hostile, I was APPALLED by the customer service worker, I believe she was the insurance clerk. Her years of experience are worthless if she continues to speak to customers the way she spoke to me. I realize that the employee probably did not want to get in trouble, but she knew what she was doing. This terrible experience first happened over the phone. If I had been so inappropriate like they said I would not have presented myself at that business and I would NOT be commenting here. I wanted to speak to the manager in person and went in a calm manner. I advised the rude employee that I was on my way to speak with the manager. Once I get there, the rude employee had called the cops. Shame on this business for using the police department for something like this. It shows how little regard they show for those in uniform. This business treated them like security guards. Never did I threatened anybody or even yelled at anybody to begin with. The police clearly saw that. Shame on this business for treating potential clients like this. This employee with "experience" felt threatened she was going to be exposed with her bad behavior. I have my profession and I would never jeopardize my career and future for something meaningless. I hope this eye doctor reads this review because you are speaking for that employee that was rude and disrespectful and I hope she learns a lesson about customer service and know that she represents your business. If she thinks she did nothing wrong well shame on her because she did. This employee also said that unless I was going to give you my business than there was no point in me going to complain. She said the doctor said this. So here I am not giving you my business and complaining because of your business's lack of many things. Being condescending, leaving me on hold for more than 10 minutes and then hanging up on me, giving false names and information are just SOME of the unpleasant things I experienced with the SAME person. You seriously need a manager because I was unable to speak with another person about this ordeal. Writing this HERE shows the lack of management in this business. Just to take the time to write this long review shows how awful this experience was. Never would I recommend this business. As for the response to my other review for this business, it clearly shows how blessed I was in finding ANOTHER eye care center that does not have to defend their business because their business and customer care etiquette speak for itself. Within the last few years my doctor prescribed me glasses so I went to a few places to check out some. Most of the places I went to frames that lacked appeal and were better suited for old people. Lol. The ones that didn't, had super high prices and the customer service sucked. They just wanted to make a sale so they could get commission. Then I stumbled upon this little location where my wife and I were greeted promptly after entering the store with a great big smile. The store employee name was DIANA. She listened to all our needs and provided wonderful selections. And she was patient as we tried on multiple frames so that we could narrow down the exact frames we loved. When we tried all frames in store she provided online options that were similar to what we loved about the ones offered in store and we were able to finally find pairs we loved. She not only helped me find glasses but also recommended the sunglasses with prescription so my eyes could also be protected during summer from harmful UV's while being able to see and I could still look stylish. She was not out to just make a dollar but truly cared about my experience as well as my wife. We ended up getting multiple glasses at an economically sound price. I would recommend her to anyone. She is such an asset to the company and a great person. I also cannot say enough good things about the prices visionworks offers because I know many people who pay much more for glasses using other companies and get far less in quality and value of products.

This facility has very rude staff(Laura and the gentleman). The first time I called a gentleman…read moreanswered. I asked him to give me a minute to get my husband's insurance card (given he would not proceed with the appointment), and he hung up on me. My second call was with Laura. She stated, "Let me close what I was doing to take your appointment." I gave her the insurance information and upon not being able to verify this, she refused to schedule an appointment. I asked if she could verify coverage upon my husband arriving to the appointment, and she stated they don't do that and that I would be considered self pay (cash payment). My husband has used this insurance at Methodist hospital, his PCP, and a local laboratory.
