The large is probably a bit too large so the small is best for me. I have gotten mixed and chicken and they're both very good, but I got the chicken on my last visit. Sure the guys aren't super nice and friendly but it's a takeaway place and the food is under 7 quid. You aren't going to get the best service but that's why I love this place. Cheap and cheerful! Also some seating indoors and outdoors for your convenience.

First time for everything…read more.. Checked-in. Unpacked. Relaxed. Bam...! This is the very first eatery we spotted upon arrival to our hotel and we are all so thrilled to scope this out ourselves. Didn't bother to read any reviews or ask the hotel concierge for their opinion. We took our chances and it paid off. Greeted with a big smile, very enthusiastic and friendly attendants right away. Dine in or takeaway they asked and we decided to eat there instead. We were seated promptly. My ever so inquisitiveness... can't contain myself. I kept looking at all the offerings they have on display. My stomach is definitely bigger than my eyes. FYI, I did packed my monokini for this trip... from there on I know that thang won't be put into use. Kebab 49, you wicked, wicked you. My family and I all settled on the chicken kebab salad plate. This dish is so flavourful and yet so light. Basket of bread was no slackers either it's packed with different spices that teases your palate leaving you wanting more and I begged for more. We all opted for water even though I was thinking of regular cola. Place is nice, tidy and welcoming. I personally think pricing is fair for the meal we ordered. It's casual dining but there's no way this place is like a KFC and whoever gives this amazing eatery below 4 stars needs food therapy and food awakening. If you have any doubt then go back to your bland everyday habits. Overall, the experience was a very pleasant one, indeed... and went back 2 hours later for takeaway. Ordered the same, but this time with rice. "A good food is mouthwatering when you see it and finger licking when you eat it." -Amit Kalantri, Wealth of Words

I was extremely saddened and hurt by my experience and I hope by reading this review that the restaurant management provide their staff with training on unconscious bias. I will not be returning there again nor recommend it for anyone

The staff are friendly and the place is clean. Bang opposite the Harrow-on-the-hill tube/bus station. They have a restaurant attached and do sit-in or take-away. Cannot be missed as you can smell the wonderful cooking a block away!!! Highly recommended. Four stars only because sometime the staff don't see waiting customers and keep chit chatting.

OMG why do they not have these places where I live in NJ or even in NYC? This was just here near my hotel and the food was just great. Fries? Great. Kofte Kebab sandwich? The veggies were so tasty and fresh it was like a little salad. Hubs got a piece of fried chicken and it was delicious. Kid got a cheeseburger and devoured it immediately. Not only was the food good, they got our order right even though we had a hard time deciding and were confusing about it. So if you are nearby and hungies? This place is a great spot to land and eat or pick up and take away. Fast. Delicious. Kind service. Inexpensive. Do it!

Either I have the memory of a goldfish or there's some language barrier going on up in here because…read moreI could have sworn that I'd ordered our kebabs for dine in, but somehow that got translated to be for takeaway. But here's the mystery of the maths, right: Tuesday special of a lamb doner and chicken doner for £3.50 each. That's a total of £7. We noticed this offer written up on the board after we'd ordered and paid already. I'd handed over a £20 bill and got £12 in change... so a total of £8. So when we seated ourselves at a nearby booth to await our food, the hubbub and annoyance of the fellows behind the counter seemed out of place. Asked in irritated tones, 'You wanted takeaway, right?' Er... no... 'That's an extra 50p charge for eat-in...' Grumbles ensued, and our confusion escalated, before finally he relented, saying 'It's okay, it's okay... sit down, we'll bring you your kebabs.' Even if there -was- a 50p extra charge, we'd already paid a pound over what their signage indicated... Whatevs. In the end, we were served huge plates with mounds of meat tucked into little half-pittas. Heaps of salad with brilliantly purple crispy cabbage came on the sides, and two tubs of properly spicy harissa and yoghurt sauce were welcome offerings. Whilst I will admit that the meat I had at Crystal Kebab near Kings Cross a few nights prior was superior in tenderness and flavour, the volume of food at an affordable price at City Best was undeniable. Perhaps the best endorsement I can offer on the quality and quantity of food is this: I ate here sober and I'd do it again.
