On the Rocks now has two rooms! The main bar area and the DJ room. The pool tables have been moved to make way for dancing! They play Latin music here now, as well as typical top 40. It reminded me of the laser shows I used to attend in New Orleans East, but with much different music. The DJ didn't seem to speak English so requesting that he play "Marrero" by MC Thick was somewhat pointless. The DJ also made frequent use of some sort of synthetic horn noise that was horrendous. The second room is where the dance floor, bar and odd stage area were. The dance floor was huge. If one wanted to dance to the beat, there was plenty of room. The bar wasn't bad and there were a couple of cocktail waitresses ensuring you got the beer you wanted. The stage area was odd. There were a couple of couches, but there was also some sort of pole as well. While everyone I encountered was friendly, communication was difficult. The website suggest it takes an hour and a half to experience the whole place, we walked the whole place, took pictures, watched 2 videos in well under an hour and a half. The employees were very nice and helpful; maybe I expected to much of Vue but I say temper your expectations.
