My massage therapist also climbed onto the table and straddled my head and each of my legs during my session so that she could reach further. I've NEVER had another massage therapist do such a thing. Out of nowhere, Andrew said: "I'm not racist, but I hate Black people." IF YOU START YOUR STATEMENT WITH, I'm not racist, then you are racist! He didn't stop there. He went on to say that Black people are "lazy," "live off the government," and "have 7 or 8 kids" etc. I was completely stunned. I'm a fair-skinned Black person. Maybe he didn't realize it, thought I wasn't black, but frankly, it doesn't matter. The fact that someone feels comfortable saying this to anyone is absolutely terrifying. This wasn't a joke. This wasn't sarcasm. This was a business owner proudly expressing deep-seated, unapologetic racism to a stranger, with zero shame or hesitation. If he says this out loud to someone he just met, imagine what he believes and says behind closed doors. If you are a decent human being. Black, white, or otherwise do not give this man your money. None the less the person I had was trained and did a good job. The other thing is tipping be mindful that they expect a minimum of 25% or more. But if they do a good job you won't mind paying that. They offer additional services, which you can inquire about.
