All my medical concerns and discomfort during pregnancy were repeatedly dismissed and met with "pregnancy is uncomfortable", basically deal with it. This led to missed and delayed diagnoses, including unmanaged levels and late-detected anemia. Insensitive comments about my weight had me feeling body-shamed during pregnancy. I was once asked if I noticed the beautiful thin pregnant patient in waiting room because she was great! During my quick labor and once she actually acknowledged my pain, asking if I wanted epidural, it was too late. At one point, she yelled at me to shut up. My postpartum appointment was impersonal; she did not remember basic details about me and also asked the gender of my child she had just delivered. It was laughed off as she was so busy, how could she remember them all. The associated OB she must work with to overlook her patients, Dr. Cantero, provided rushed, impersonal care. We received quick ultrasounds without much explanation or even time to enjoy the experience. He left the room so fast once, leaving the door wide open while I was reclined half naked in the chair needing help to get up. Worst of all, he incorrectly gave us our baby's gender ensuring he was "99% sure." I still STRONGLY advise choosing a qualified OB over midwifery, especially if complications or health concerns arise. Nelly lacked empathy (possibly the knowledge) and care to send me high-risk help in my situation. With such great reviews on both providers, I felt the need to leave my honest, detailed experience hoping it helps someone. High ratings don't always mean high quality, especially when those reviews lack detail.

He then left the clinic instead of staying to coordinate care. He provided no information about the nearest emergency departments, no instructions for follow-up care, and no emergency contact information. He wrote a prescription for methotrexate 100 mg but failed to arrange for it to be dispensed or to explain the next steps; we had to obtain and deliver the medication ourselves. As a result of these omissions, the patient required emergency admission to the hospital on Saturday. At the emergency department, staff were surprised that the medication had been handed to us and asked why the doctor had given it directly to the family. Dr. Kandinov also failed to arrange an ultrasound when it was clinically indicated; when we requested diagnostic imaging, he refused and did not record either the recommendation or the refusal in the medical record. All of this was frightening, expensive, and entirely avoidable. In our opinion, these actions demonstrate alarming unprofessionalism and a lack of concern for patient safety. The surgeon who performed the procedure said this outcome might have been avoided because the patient had visited Dr. Kandinov two weeks earlier. However, the doctor did not take the concerns seriously; the consultation appeared cursory. He appears to rush through appointments, spending only a few minutes in each office and not devoting adequate time to patients. The day prior to my 9:15 AM annual visit a couple days ago, the office called me to confirm my appointment. I asked the person how many patients were booked before me so I can better plan my work schedule. I was told there was only one patient ahead of me at 9am and I should be out no later than 10am. I arrived at 9am and was placed in a room fairly quickly, where I then waited nearly an hour undressed in the paper gown. I opened the door to check what was going on and the attendant down the hall told me Dr. Cepeda was running late and had not arrived at the office. I told her I would unfortunately have to leave as I needed to get to work for a meeting. No no rede than 5 minutes later I walked out the room and I saw Dr. Cepeda at the desk chatting and laughing with the lady that told me she wasn't there and another nurse. There had been no communication to patients about the delay, nor any acknowledgment of the time we had been waiting. When I approached her and explained that I had to leave, she stated that she had "just arrived" and gestured toward other rooms she needed to attend to. I respectfully referenced the prior day's scheduling conversation and that I was told only 1 patient was before me at 9am and asked her if she could see me. At that point, I was met with a dismissive tone from staff who told me they had 3 other patients in front of me and - most unexpectedly, a visible shoulder shrug and "there's nothing I can do" from Dr. Cepeda. What troubled me most was not simply the delay -- medical offices run behind at times. It was the lack of accountability, empathy, or professionalism. Being left waiting in a vulnerable state for nearly an hour, only to receive a dismissive response, felt disrespectful and surprisingly impersonal. As patients, we arrange our work schedules and responsibilities to attend appointments. Basic communication, courtesy, and acknowledgment of delays should not be too much to expect. Dr. Cepeda's lack of professionalism was startling. This would have been my 2nd (maybe 3rd) annual visit with her. I will not return and have to find a new doctor. No patient should be faced with this type of dismissive lack of care. I hope this feedback encourages a greater awareness of how patient interactions are handled moving forward.

First regular check up was in the beginning of the year, then they told me in the office: if all my tests be normal office won't call me. I should be smarter and call myself to find out, but I did not. About 6 months later I had some spotting, I was in menopause for about a year. Came back to Dr Starikov. He walks in and in the middle of his office announcing " If you in menopause for a year, most likely it's a cancer " . The floor disappeared under my feet. I got myself together and asked, what is the next step? He says to get biopsy, which was very painful procedure done right away. After knowing that I may have cancer, like Dr Starikov announced and waiting over weekend and few days after for results called back on Tuesday and receptionist tells me they will call back, then computer was down, then by Thursday still not knowing what is going on, called by the end of the day and for an answer from receptionist: " Woman, why do you call us every day, we are very busy ". I knew then not to stay in this office, if I have something serious going on, how I will be treated later on? Asked them to prepare my records and find another doctor. And I did. This American woman doctor from Jackson Memorial in Miami explained to me all for an hour, best and worst case scenario, I will be fine in any case. Took biopsy, very gently, even it was unpleasant process. But with her care and explanation it was not bad at all. She did sonogram and they saw a polyp. After all, no cancer. This wonderful doctor removed two polyps , which was the cause of my spotting. NO CANCER! My suggestion to Dr Starikov: don't be so greedy about money by seeing Russian pregnant women, witch was so popular at that time to grab big money. Be a good person first, care about your patients. I would stay away from this doctor, money is a priority not a patient!

There was a taste of upper-class luxury. If you're a first time patient, they make you fill out some paperwork (as usual) but you do this while sitting on a big nice comfy-ass couch. Btw, if you have a 9am appointment & a first timer - you should be out in a little less than an hour and a half. :) The staff - well, let's just say that doctor Reinerston was very well dressed. So much so, that I thought she was the secretary. Then the secretary came in and I hoped to god she wasn't the doctor. That woman had the highest heels ever! Nevertheless, the staff was very nice and comforting. The doctor - definitely knows her stuff and had a lovely office (I took a peak). She was very quick with the procedure but was good with the analysis. In a matter of minutes, she wrote me a few prescriptions, gave instructions (which I zoned out for) and I was on my way. She doesn't seem to pry and get too much into your personal life but does give her recommendations. Side note: She accepts Humana and tries to get the insurance to cover as much as possible. He took the time to talk to me and listen to my issues. He ran tests to make sure I was 100% taken care of and completely free of any issues. I came in with an issue of spotting so he did a vaginal ultrasound when that was inconclusive he called me personally next day. Although I was scared he performed a biopsy that proved negative thankfully. He changed my hormones to a different medication that was more up to date. Also he said they make you sleepy the ones I was on which made me feel better as I wondered why I was always tired. The only thing left to schedule is an annual mammogram which I get regularly without issues. My only issue is with his office staff when I came for the vaginal ultrasound I paid a co pay that I was told. Later I find out from my insurance that it was an overpayment. So when I returned for the biopsy I once again was asked for a copayment when I showed the evidence the person at the counter shut me down and told me that is billing. So she wants to collect but when it's an issue she doesn't want to talk to me. Guess how I was treated than? I than waited over an hour to see the Dr. funny how everyone else was taken before me? When I wanted my parking validated the same woman I wouldn't say lady at this juncture you will have to wait on the way out? Really all the other visits they stamped me when I arrived. So my co pay by this point was $5. and the same nasty person stamped me after my visit. I guess she showed me?! Some people should not be working with the public. Hopefully by next year's annual check up someone steals her away.
