Over the years I did the hair of one of the coordinators who would always talk about the great before and after of Dr Sassanis work. I was able to see the great results . I also saw the work done first hand on her. I've always been scared to do surgery so when it came to do anything l was reassured by the pictures and the results Dr SASSANI received. I did lip fillers with Dr. Sassani and he did a great job, however I went in for an IPL SPECIAL treatment they had and their email said I had an appointment with Dr. Sassani. When I arrived a Russian esthetician took care of me and left permanent dark burn marks on my cheeks. She said they would fade away which they never did after a year. I regret doing it without the supervision of the Doctor. I waited for my second appointment hoping to see Dr. Sassani as my appointment email said and it was another esthetician which burned the tip of my nose with the IPL laser. I think that treatment should be under the direction or supervision of a Doctor as it can cause permanent dark spots. I contacted them and they offered another treatment to help the problem and I never went back after loosing trust. I'm not sure the esthetician know what they are doing. I have all the before and after pics to prove it. I am seeing a great dermatologist but unfortunately the laser burns have not improved because it was a deep laser burn :(. read more

Let me just take a moment here and talk about all the lies from the billing department. Stacy in billing has literally been the bane of my existence, constantly misgendering and misnaming and speaking to me like I am incompetent. I grew up in the medical field and know my rights and know the ALL PROCEDURES HAVE BILLING CODES, cosmetic or not. I was told repeatedly that they don't have codes for some of the procedures I paid out of pocket (lie). The things that I was told were not covered by insurance were things my insurance company told me were not even coded to them. Looking more closely to the three codes that my insurance Denied is what seems to be a case of double billing aka billing fraud. I am a transgender patient, Dr. Sassani is one of the best top surgeons on eastern side of the country. I got a double incision mastectomy with free nipple grafts. My insurance got charged for a mastectomy which was completely covered. Mastectomies include the removal of breast and "repairing" by sutures. I was billed a cosmetic procedure that was titled "removal of lesions" when I asked my insurance what that was they told me that it sounded like skin tags or something to that sort. The only thing I got removed were breast. This was the first thing that was double billed which I had to pay out of pocket. Then there were two more cosmetic codes that were denied that were titled "repairing of the trunk". Like I said plain and simple I had two incisions to remove the breast. Nothing more was removed and nothing more to repair. Those two cosmetic "removal" codes were the closing of my chest. To say the least I'm not giving up. My case is going through appeal through my insurance but I hope they realize what this practice is doing. A place that is supposed to be a place helping the trans community is silently betraying us. Even if my case doesn't win, you best bet that I will post monthly my story to let everyone in the trans community know what to look for. This is absolutely unacceptable. I am so happy with my results, but the fact that there is billing fraud and I am a victim of it is something that I will not ever leave silent. read more

After having a basal cell removed from right below my eye, I had to visit Dr. Sassani for repair. He grafted a small section from behind my ear and 16 stitches later, I was fixed up and ready to go. The healing process was annoying, as expected, but I was extremely pleased with his work. He made sure I had as little scarring as possible considering it was in such a noticeable area. My scar is still present but I continually notice it fading away and I know that all reflects his performance. You will learn that he desires excellence and does not cut corners. I had a lumpectomy and radiation but the radiologist never told me I would get very bad contractions around my implant. It became hard as a rock and moved slighty up and towards my shoulder making movement unpleasant and the hardness was painful. I went to many, many top rated plastic surgeons seeking help for this condition. Many callously said I had to live with it, there was nothing they could do; others quoted me outrageous prices and said the outcome was in no way guaranteed at all and would probably go back to being hard. My oncologist, while talking about this situation, immediately recommended Dr. Russell Sassani. Set up an appointment and the minute he walked into the room, I knew I had found the physician who could help me. He has a wonderfully calming manner while being highly knowledgeable and more than competent. He was the only physician who told me my insurance had to pay for all surgeries done on that breast because I had had cancer. No one else had mentioned this. It's been a long road but I very lucky to have been told about him; he is an amazing plastic surgeon because he is a scientist with an artistic eye which has to be necessary to visualize what needs to be done to enhance and beautify. If I could give it no stars I would. Everything seemed awesome, I got an email a month or so ago saying a price range for my surgery and scheduling me for 3-4 weeks from then. I didn't mind even though I wanted to do the surgery as soon as possible. So the day of (today) I get called saying it has to be canceled because the doctor will be in surgery. Now I understand things happen so I didn't mind rescheduling even though I had asked for the day off. The girl told me she'd put me down for the following Monday at 1:30. That was fine because I'm off. Then I get a confirmation text saying my consultation is on august 28th, 3 weeks from now! So I have to wait a whole two months from when I contacted them just for a consultation?! Then when I call the front desk tells me "oh the doctor is back," I immediately ask " wait he's back?!" All she said was "uhhhh" then transferred me over to someone else without letting me know. The next girl says she'll ask the coordinator if anything sooner is available for me even though they clearly made the mistake. And they didn't, go figure. If this is how hard it is to simply get a consultation, I can't imagine what surgery would be like. Wouldn't recommend this place no matter how many stars they have on yelp. Way too disorganized. I paid for 3 areas of Botox. This was my first time getting Botox here. I gave up hope after two weeks that the minor furrow between brows would go away. In the past the space between the eyes has been flat with zero movement. Unfortunately when you pay for areas there is no transparency on how much is injected. In the future I will go where I pay per unit. I like knowing how much I need in each area. I would rate Anya and the IPL treatment 5 stars and would go back for the treatment as well as recommend. First, I went to this place with my friend. We each paid 5000.00 for laser hair removal package. We started our process and after 9 months of having the laser done, we end up as hairy as we are! Anya suggested another season for 800.00. After the session, the laser was still as unsuccessful as it was before. And when we went to the office and complained, they offered another round of laser hair removal (1 session) for free. 7 sessions could not done anything. How will another session do any good? We made an appointment with Dr. Sassani and he just told us that we have hormonal imbalance and that they can do nothing about it!!!! Couldn't they say it before taking 11600.00 dollars from us?! Would not recommend this place to anyone. It is a trap for laser hair removal. If you want to have your hair reduced, then have a dermatologist to do it for you. read more
