I was there on 4/13/26 Monday morning first off, the sign in kiosk was not working so there was no way to sign in and the workers didn't think of any other control method, so people were coming in looking confused because no one knew who was next in line. Then you had worker hovering over each other instead of taking care of the customers and the line was getting longer and longer. And the bald guy at the service counter has ZERO customer service etiquette. Instead of simply asking ''May I help you?" He was doing this silly wave as to beckon the customer to come forward. Am I the only one that gets upset about the annoying weather alerts from WAHD FM. The sound level is a hundred times louder than normal programming. My TV speakers actually crackle from the excess sound level. And they come on to frequent. They actually come in during normal news programing. And block out the weather teams. They prey on the elderly. Happened to walk past them in Walmart with my mom. The approached her and talked about the senior special pricing. Got her hooked up. Went great for the first few months, then saw her bill jump from $30 to $60. They added a phone line, and t.v on her plan without telling her. Then told her they are going into have to charge her $5 to speak with an associate to clear it up. No one can tell her anything useful about her bill. They constantly raise their prices while their internet gets even worse. It will always be going out for about 5 minutes, almost everyday. And since I play online games, it is incredibly annoying. It happens when streaming, or simply on a social media app with no one else on the internet. It said I have 30 days to purchase protection for my new device and it's been 20. When I spoke to an agent she said it's a generic message and that it's not true. 1 Star is being to kind. No accountability culture and representative of classic taking for granted customers. Fortunately we now have choices of going over the top and bypassing cable companies. I had whole house DVR with TWC. Was a legacy so was able to keep this service for over 1 year. Then 1 month ago one of the two boxes in my condo stopped showing list of recorded shows. Have had on 3 occasions service techs come out and leave my home without fixing. Service techs blame the service centers and codes. Service center say everything looks good and techs need to fix. Needless to say 8 hours of my scheduled time over last 3 weeks and I'm still without this function. However I'm still paying for cable service which only works in my bedroom. Thanks for blaming me each time why the service doesn't work. Went out and got Apple TV setup today. Will phase out cable all together very soon. Worst internet provider ever. They sent me a router which I never needed. Then, despite the router never being used, and I believe returned to them, they kept billing me for it. I called in 12/2022 to get the bill removed and a refund but it turns out they documented the issue incorrectly. I realized later in 2023 that I was still being charged for it. I called again and explained the issue. They documented the ticket as a modem, not router issue, incorrectly--I had explained in no uncertain terms that it was a fraudulent charge for router services, which I'd never used. So I had to call yet again. Finally, got someone competent and am now being escalated to a supervisor. However, their refund policy only refunds 30-60 days back despite the fact that this is essentially fraud. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE PROVIDER. read more

We had used spectrum for 10 + years as it was the only somewhat reliable provider in our area. The cost increased annually after the promo rate and we were paying 74.99 for basic internet. When I called to attempt lowering my bill and was told by CS there was not a lower plan I told them I was looking elsewhere for service, the reps response was 'good luck'. That was about 4 years ago. There are at least monthly outages which is very unfortunate when working from home. TDS final ran fiber through our area, I jumped at the chance. I pay approx 30 per mo and guaranteed to never to above 43. The speed is faster and has yet to go down. The headache with Spectrum continues though, I canceled service on 11/2/2021. Received an email to return my equipment, with no directions on how to do this. I searched how (take it to a ups store, they will pack and ship). It was returned on 11/7/2021. The rep at ups told me to keep the receipt as spectrum has a tenancy to 'not receive returned equipment'. My November bill still had the equipment charge. December 4, it was finally removed. I meant to call spectrum to ask why I was paying a full month of service when we weee only on for 12 days, but forgot. Friday, 1/15/2022, 12 days after my bill (that finally arrived with the equipment fee removed) I received a letter from collections. No phone call from charter, no additional bill in January just straight to collections. I did research and Spectrum will not prorate a bill, you are responsible for the entire month you do not use. They are not service oriented and the outages are not just inconvenient, they are consistently interrupting work. Do your research and find a different provider. read more

After 14 years with Time Warner/Spectrum, I'm finally done with the garbage. Promotion discounts mean nothing when you continue to increase the base prices $3-$4 every 3 months. Ridiculous. Since August, Spectrum changed their bill payment website to not allow a split bill that worked for years. For many, for example, a person's business might pay the wifi and then they pay the cable from a personal account. We were told to just select "other amount" to pay the wifi. But, it turns out that doesn't work and all of the payments went to cable. So then, the "reward" for thinking you paid everything is daily robocalls, late fees and shutting down the wifi - even though "customer service" and "leadership" assures you that the payments would be transferred to the wifi account. The "solution" is now to call the payment in with an extra $5 charge that is supposedly to be reversed! The reps say they are aware of the problem - but it's been four months of this. It seems that customers are the "problem," what do you think?? I would have given zero stars above if I could! This is an update in March 2020 - nothing has changed! Trucks are sent out daily to different homes - no communication - no solutions. Most of the service techs have no clue about the situation - though we are all told the situation is "being escalated". I went to the TWC storefront on East Capital Drive today and worked with CJ. The total time waiting was under 15 minutes before he called me up. I had the impression while there that most of us were sort of wary, expecting really long waits, but the team there moved us through very quickly. And, they did seem to operate as a team. CJ asked what was up and I said I wanted to change my service to high speed internet only. He asked if the recent rate increase or other service issues were a problem. I told him both were a problem and that thus I wanted to limit my service. He said he understood and asked if I wanted him to see if there were some other rate plans and service upgrades that would provide better options and lower prices. When I said, "No," he moved on to looking for the best plan for high speed. He gave me a new modem to replace my old one. He asked if I needed a router or needed to upgrade my current one. When I said no, he told me my new rate (1/4 of my old one!) and I wrote a check. The whole transaction was professional, service-oriented, and quick. This is not likely enough to make me an all out TWC fan, but CJ put us on track to make me believe it is possible to not feel hostile to them. CJ is a rock star. read more

Our Eastside MKE apartment building is only wired for Time-Warner/Spectrum, so when we moved in last summer on a job transfer, we went with Time-Warner/Spectrum. Not a huge decision. But Time-Warner/Spectrum was running a "campaign" as they say, and we got Internet and TV ... including a decent channel line-up with Showtime ... for a little under $100/mo. Over a few months, they kept adding "taxes" here and there until we were up to $102 and change. Not great, but still tolerable. Then we decided to move to a different apartment with a better floorplan and view. That's when the wheels came off. My first call to the Time-Warner/Spectrum moving department was a hot mess. The woman said they would have to turn off our service on one day, then restart it in the new unit sometime the next day. That just sounded stupid, so I told her I'd get back to her. The next woman I talked to on May 3rd ... let's call her Veronica ... said she could overlap the service so that it would start in the new unit, then be turned off in our old unit a day later. She also assured me our costs and service wouldn't change ... at least not until our service anniversary date in August. Now, that's what I was looking for! Veronica set up the order, and assured me I didn't have to do anything else. And sure as shootin', when we moved, the service in the new unit was working perfectly. Hootchie mama! So we moved on May 10th. And all went swimmingly until we were in the middle of streaming a show on Netflix at about 8:30pm on Saturday, May 19th. Then the Internet went dark. And checking the Cable TV, we got only a message to call a toll-free number to have our service connected. Two and half hours, and three Time-Warner/Spectrum goons later (one of whom actually hung up on me), a guy ... let's call him Jaresh or Jared ... claimed our move work order had never been finalized, so it was automatically disconnected. No explanation why it had taken 10 days, or why it was disconnected on a Saturday night. Nevertheless, he promised he call me back in "just a few minutes" to finalize the re-connection. Well, ended up staying up till after midnight waiting for that call. But it never came. When we got up on Sunday morning, the Internet was still out, and the "call to connect" message was still scrawled across the TV screen. Was I surprised? Not at that point. I started calling Time-Warner/Spectrum just before 8:00am on Sunday. After a few more handoffs, a tech-type woman ... let's call her Celeste ... turned out to be quite helpful. She calmly said she could turn the service back on in our old apartment, then transfer it to our new apartment. And lo and behold, that's what she did! And it really didn't take that long. But wait. Celeste said we still needed to talk to the sales people to figure out where we stood billing-wise. But she said she'd download all the pertinent info to the person she was transferring me to. Huh? You do remember that I'd been guaranteed we'd keep the same service and rate until August, right? Well, the person who picked up next had no clue what I wanted. So for the 7th or 8th time, I had to tell the entire story from scratch. But turns out they weren't the right person to handle the issue either. After several more handoffs, the story from a man ... let's call him Pete ... was that there had been an ownership change at Time-Warner/Spectrum since August, and the promotion we'd gotten in August was no longer available. So instead, what we were getting now was less channels and no Showtime, a new $9.99 "service charge" for having put us through CATV hell, and a rate that was $22.19 more month (that's more than $266 more per year if you're counting). I told Pete that if that's the best he could do, then I was going to start looking at other alternatives ... even if it was just out of spite. He assured me he sympathized, but fixing this just wasn't part of his job. But he promised someone would call within two hours who could fix it. Not surprisingly, it's now been 57 hours since Pete rang off, and no one from Time-Warner/Spectrum has yet to call about fixing our rate. Nor do I expect them to. Spectrum advertises "NO CONTRACT" -- but when you stop the service they say you must pay for the remaining days of the billing period -- in my case 28 days with no service and a bill. My experience with the Spectrum TV service is that it is unreliable and too expensive for what is offered. For movies, as an example, Pluto TV is free and better (Spectrum TV is $50/month), My experience with Spectrum Internet is on many occasions, when I was paying for 200MBs service, I had 20MB on my computer. When I complained, Spectrum agent blamed my computer (state of the art, 6 months old). After numerous outages, they finally arrived at a fix -- now speeds are half of the advertised and paid for rate. The only reason to have Spectrum is that AT&T is no better. You would hope that going in for a simple pick-up/drop-off of equipment would take 5 minutes or less but not here. Plan on waiting and hope that you can find a seat on a chair or a ledge somewhere. When I received notice of a one-year land line telephone promotion for just $10 plus taxes monthly, I knew it was time to switch from Vonage after nearly five years. So I went to the East Capitol Drive office not knowing what to expect. Entering the office I was first greeted by a smiling 'hostess' who within two minutes directed me to an awaiting Christopher Sims. A pleasure to deal with, I informed him of wanting to switch from Vonage but with a problem having my monthly renewal date on the 10th, a week away not wanting to pay its $40.22 charge. Christopher made all the arrangements to make the switch, but told me to play it safe I would have to go a day or two without phone service to make sure I wasn't charged by Vonage. I agreed and we scheduled the change over. Within 15 minutes of his scheduled appointment time Arnulfo Sandval, the Installation Technician arrived. He explained what had to be done and said that everything seemed to be OK. He showed us and explained each step. He would make a great teacher but then things seemed to 'crash.' Vonage refused to release the rights to my phone line and Arnulfo called Vonage not once but twice, its representatives in the Philippines. Both times the representatives said they had no record of any contact with Time Warner, but that was a lie. Arnulfo had the documentation and codes. The second call, the Vonage representative finally agreed to release the rights to my telephone number for the $40.22 monthly payment. I guess it is true, "breaking-up is hard to do!" I agreed. Two days later Vonage finally relinquished my phone number to Time Warner. Returning to the East Capitol Drive office, I informed Christopher what had transpired. Telling him the headache I had had with Vonage and the $40.22 charge, he immediately called for Salenthia. His manager hearing my story welcomed me to Time Warner by crediting $40.22 to my account! Lately, Spectrum's internet service has been terrible! While streaming at 37 MPs during the day, it slows down to less than 10 MPs, and sometimes even less than 1.00 MPs during prime time. Constant buffering and break- ups. This is on the east side. Don't know if it's a plan to upcharge for for "even faster" services later, but really sucks and I may have to to approach our entire building to switch to AT&T instead! I was with time warner cable/spectrum for many years, I was happy with my Internet but then every year they would race my bill without even giving me any notice, then I used to cancel then they used to call me again offering me cable for the same price that I used to get it before so finally when Time Warner sold to spectrum, the raised my bill from 52 dollars to 68 dollars, and once again without giving me any notice so I called customer service, I tried to get a better deal, they give me no options, they just tell me that I have to pay almost 70 dollars for my cable bill, that's is the cheaper plan and that they have I more options for me, so I tried to talk to a different customer service representative, same thing they told me that I had no options that only new customers get the deals that they had online, So I got over it canceled with spectrum and moved on with AT&T. After 2 months I get all this letters and deals by mail from spectrum,trying to get me back as their customer, even today they knocked on my door trying to get me to sign back with them Well! you know what spectrum? I was your customer for a very long time and your costumer service representatives were very rude and decided to let me go, so now is too late.
