My friends and I did The Grand Zeppelin, since Time to Escape is located near AmericasMart, near our puzzle convention. 5 of us made a reservation for 9pm on a Saturday, which came out to about $45/person. As someone who is a big scaredy-cat, I asked my friend to call to see if live actor was scary, and they assured us that it was not scary. I can say that they were true to their word! We had Tanner as our live actor / guide through the experience. He was very immersive and passionate about the role. This was my first time doing a room with a live actor, so I don't have a point of comparison. I personally didn't like the way clues were given, but others may appreciate the banter and silly actions Tanner was doing to lead us in the right direction. I thought the addition of "crisis" moments was a clever way to reward strong players. My main issue with the room was that it was linear. At no point were two groups of people working on something simultaneously. That means that if you have more than three people, some members may be standing around. There was also one puzzle that is solved solely by trial-and-error, which is poor design. For the price, I had higher expectations in production value. The best part of The Grand Zeppelin was the ending, and I do want to commend Tanner for providing us with an immersive experience! read more

They offer multiple different escape rooms and we did the easiest one. You can do "competitive" or "casual". We did casual which means you can ask for as many hints as needed. The weakest part was the game itself, Blackbeards Booty. The room was really well decorated, and at first glance, the electronics were kind of cool. July 2022 Oh no! It's time to escape Alcatraz and your cellmate is already gone. So my date and I arrived for our surprise day date and were paired with another couple of folks, mother and daughter. First thing to note: do not be like me and dress cute in a skirt and high heels, lol. Upon entering the establishment, we immediately noticed a beautiful bar and plenty of seating. They also have some bar games that you can play along with a fully stocked bar if you came with a larger group and wanted to pregame. The cell door is very realistic along with the inner room. Escaping truly felt like freedom. I won't spoil the experience, but it was definitely worth the time and effort. We did escape Alcatraz and we were told that it was one of the easier games (But it was not easy;there were plenty of Different types of brain teasers, physical challenges, and fun times.) Went to Time to Escape, in Brookhaven, with a group of friends this weekend and had a great time. The "king Tuts tomb" room was quite challenging and I definitely don't recommend a group smaller than 5. I wish they would have some way to customize the challenges for bigger or smaller groups, as sometimes it's quite hard to complete all challenges and escape as a couple or very small group. We had a group of 8 and still didn't escape though . We still had lots of fun in the process though. The receptionist was super friendly and the place was very clean. My dad and I just had the most wonderful adventure in the Speakeasy Escape!! We made reservations for Time to Escape based on the reviews and location, and also because it was the only Escape Room I could find with an in-house bar! Yes please! We chose the Speakeasy Room because you play characters, and it has a live actor playing the bartender. They suggest a minimum of 4 players, but we decided to dive in anyways! Tanner played James the bartender, and he was awesome! He really made the experience immersive, and we solved it with just a minute to spare. (Thank goodness - how else would I get my Instagram proof? [Insert laughing emoji ]) Btw: There's an adorable Italian restaurant downstairs, Valenza, so we went there beforehand to grab our drinks. Really great place. Very cool clown escape room. It's kind of small but really nice. It's great for about 4-5people probably not more than that. everyone who works there is really nice. Here's a thing it's hard to find! it's located on an upper floor and a very random apartment building. Furthermore, when you call the phone you get redirected to someone who doesn't actually work in the facility, she is not very good and she is impossible to hear because her phone doesn't work well... So she can't give you directions to the building. I can't believe that the situation... but OK. also, don't ask her if you have to pay to park because she'll tell you know but you do actually have to pay to park. There's a security guard upfront and he'll notify you. You have to sign in and then you can go to the escape room. There are multiple escape rooms. All of them seem really cool. everyone who works there is nice but the lady who picks up the phone, does not work there and is impossible to hear. They really need to fix this! prices are decent! will be back now that i know where this is. read more

Terrible experience. We went with our family and have done about 10 previous escape rooms. We opted for Blackbeards Booty and it was absurd. Way too much dialogue and lasted almost an hour and a half and we remained in just one room the entire time despite accomplishing whatever tasks were required. We left before it ended due to shear boredom and should have left 30min earlier. I doubt they will ever get repeat customers at this place. This owner needs to visit another escape room to get an idea of an actual escape room experience. If there is ever a positive review then either it is a paid review or it is from someone who has no idea of what an escape room is. Good luck with this place remaining in business. read more

Found that this company had an Egyptian themed room (King Tut's Tomb). My dad was up to try an escape room and of course, being a history lover, wanted to try the Egypt themed one. It was awesome, and a lot of fun. Even though it was my dad's first time doing an escape room, he enjoyed the "medium" difficulty. You get a discounted rate on doing a second room and they're open pretty late so we decided to go again and try Speakeasy! Let me just say that Ben was really great at his job guiding us through when we needed to use our clues in both rooms! He does a wonderful job getting into character and added to the experience of it for us. Please give that man some recognition! The rooms were really neat and they have leaderboards for keeping track of time. They'll take your picture and send it to you. Definitely an awesome group activity! Did the Capone Speak Easy room. My wife and I have been to 10-15 different escape rooms and both, as well as a few others in our party, thought this was the least favorite one we've been to. There was no clear direction on what was trying to be accomplished. We essentially figured out a bunch of random numbers and just started trying to open every lock until one worked. Upon finishing we really didn't feel like we accomplished anything. I know this place has a lot of good reviews. We had a lot of fun breaking out of prison at Time to Escape's Alcatraz-themed escape room. This new escape room business officially opened last month (October 2016) with two rooms: Escape from Alcatraz and King Tut's Tomb. Time to Escape can be hard to find. It's located above Haven (restaurant) at Brookhaven Village. You can use the same evening valet service as Haven to park or you can self-park for free across the street (don't worry -- you'll still be on Brookhaven Village property). Note: Parking can be limited. On the backside of the middle of the building, there's an elevator you can take up to the 2nd floor where Time to Escape is located. The elevator is located in the same space where the valet guys store all the car keys. At the time of writing this review, I've done exactly 30 different escape rooms in metro Atlanta. Most of them have been a lot of fun, so choosing which escape room business to go to based on which is more fun is like splitting hairs. You can't go wrong with a lot of them. I liked the production quality and set design of the Alcatraz room. I'd say it's above average. The room was almost like being in a real, old, jail cell complete with exposed toilet, filthy mattress, and rusted prison bars. We had 60 minutes before "daybreak" to escape. The room had sound effects to enhance the mood and realism. You're allowed 3 hints which you can request via walkie-talkie. When we completed Alcatraz, there was no closed-circuit monitoring (cameras) of the room by staff, but we were told by owner Dan Cleveland that camera installations were planned. I only had a few (spoiler-free) critiques of the room: (1) An item could be retrieved from one of the lock boxes without having to figure out the lock box's combination. (2) The solution to one of the riddles seemed overly obscure. The key to the puzzle could easily be mistaken as a simple nick on a worn piece of equipment. (3) The cassette tapes are hard to hear. Our escape room team, Team Bad Math (#TeamBadMath), escaped from Alcatraz in record time with 13:30 left on the clock. We set this record on Thursday, November 3, 2016. According to Time to Escape's website, the Alcatraz room had only a 31% escape rate the day after we beat it. Some general hints: - Communicate with your team. - Observe and listen carefully. - Examine even the most trivial things. - Don't overthink. - Don't be afraid to ask for hints. Time to Escape regularly costs $28 + tax per person per room with an 8-person room maximum. We got a 20% discount by using a promo code found on the company's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/TimeToEscapeATL), so it ended up costing us about $24 per person. We did The Launch and had a great time! It was just the two of us and this room can fit up to 10. Luckily they were able to adjust it slightly, take out one or two activities in the room so it was more doable with our small group. I was worried because I read that they assign character roles for each person playing that we weren't going to be able to do it with just the two of us, but it wasn't an issue at all! There were some minor technical difficulties but it didn't affect our game experience. The manager was super great and always stayed in character! She was awesome at knowing when to step in to help but not over stepping and giving us any answers we didn't need. Great experience! read more

I've done about a dozen escape rooms and the Al Capone's Speakeasy at Time to Escape is one of the best escape room experiences I've ever had. The story was cool, the puzzles were varied and interesting, but what put it over the top was the live actor (Will) in the room as the bartender. Will absolutely crushed it. He was entertaining, funny, and never left character. I thought it might be weird having a live actor in the room the entire time, but honestly it took the game to another level. If they had more rooms with live actors I'd come back immediately. Another unique aspect of this room was each of us had our own character to play with special abilities and we each even had a side mission. How fun! It was super interactive and not just your standard puzzles. More escape rooms need this level of creativity and thought. We solved the puzzle with basically no time on the clock, so I feel like the difficulty level was perfect. I highly recommend and will be back. read more

Did the Alcatraz themed room with my family, and we were all pretty disappointed by it. We've done around 15-20 escape the rooms before and this one didn't do the trick. The clues felt a random and unconnected at times; two of the clues didn't function properly, and we stumbled upon answers by mistake as well. The aesthetics of the room were solid. read more

It doesn't look like a whole lot when you pull up, but they have done an amazing job with the rooms, props, actors, staff-everything! Do yourself a favor and go! I took my in laws when they were in town. It's a wonderful activity to do, a good replacement for day-drinking and eating/that's why I appreciate it! It was so fun! I've been here twice now, and skyler was the actor in the speakeasy, as well as our guide while escaping Alcatraz this time around. On Sunday afternoon a group of five adults spent a fun hour deciphering clues and solving puzzles to escape from King Tut's tomb in Brookhaven! Our adventure guide, Tanner, was helpful and encouraging as we made our way through the adventure. A very fun way to get a group laughing and cooperating The details of this room were impressive and the types of puzzles varied including using archaeological type props which add to the atmosphere. I highly recommend this activity for teens and adults. The adventure does take place in a fairly dim setting and includes an entrance to part of the set which requires stooping/crouching. read more

I've done about 80 escape rooms thus far. I'm giving this 5 stars because I think it was a good overall experience and especially because our GM, Chase, was fantastic from start to finish. As for the rooms themselves. We did King Tut and Alcatraz and I'd rate both as 4/5. Solid scenic immersion, especially in Alcatraz. A nice mix of puzzles. King Tut had a bit too much reading and laminated sheets of paper for my taste. Love that the clue system for both rooms was fitting with the storyworld and "in character". No major complaints for either room but they both lacked that real WOW factor that one hopes for in a room, hence the 4/5 rating. Definitely eager to try the Al Capone room in the future! read more

We did both King Tut's tomb and the Speakeasy. Great decorations and back stories in both rooms. There was only 3 people in our group. The gamemaster in King Tut's was very good about pointing us in the right direction without giving too much information. The puzzles were challenging enough for experienced and novices alike. We almost made it out, but missed it by about 10 minutes. Lol. The in room actor/gamemaster in the Speakeasy, I believe his real name was Skyler, was awesome. Never broke character, but was good about helping us move the game along. This room was quite challenging for just 3 people, and we had never done a room with in room actors. I would really recommend doing this with a larger group. At least 5 people, but if you're a smaller group, it's still fun, just a little daunting. I highly recommend coming here! This is venue is worth visiting! As a veteran of over a dozen escape rooms, I feel like I've seen a lot of different takes on this particular activity, and this one ranks near the top. Let me step you through it. When we entered the suite, we were greated promptly by (I think her name was Christina). We were doing the Al Capone room which uses an in-room actor during the entire event. Christina was our in-room actor, and she was already in character. She passed us off to another employee to do our requisite orientation while she prepped. He did a great job: quick, but thorough. This escape room is a bit different than most, in that you play a character as well. On top of that, you've got to figure out how to GET INTO the room...after all, it's Al Capone's speakeasy...you can't just walk in. Once in the room, I will say I was impressed. The room was very authentic, and Christina's performance immediately pulled us in. Throughout the game she helped move the game and the story forward. I wish I could tell you more, but unfortunately I can't without giving away the fun. Just go try it! Originally, I was hesitant about the "live actor" part of it, but my wife said it sounded fun, and I'm so glad we tried it. I highly recommend this establishment and this room in particular. Took my kid there for her Bday. Signed up for 4 kids, but one got sick last minute, and T2E would not offer a refund. However, they would have let me sign up for 2 kids, and pay for a 3rd when I got there. I despise businesses that look for loop-holes to take your money, and won't patronize this one again. The only explanation was "it's company policy". But would not say WHY that dodgy company policy was in place. Wouldn't even offer credit for a future visit. Also, no one was at the desk when we arrived. Had to wander around until I found an "Employees only" room and knock on the door. Kids didn't start until 15 minutes after their scheduled appointment. Seems very short sighted to me. We've spent about $300 at your business. Congrats, you got my $30, but you lost my business. Hope you feel good about that decision. read more
