I have used Time Shred in the past when I had my office and everyone was always so kind and professional. The driver who came today even remembered me, which truly meant a lot. When I called the office, the staff was pleasant and helped me right away, just like I remembered. Unfortunately, my recent experience did not meet the high standard I had come to expect. I was not informed of the price or given a quote in advance. In the past, I was simply billed after the service, so this process was new to me. I understand that prices may have increased over time, but the way the situation was handled felt disappointing. When I spoke with the staff, the tone became dismissive. I asked to speak with the owner for clarification, but my call was never transferred. It truly saddens me to share this because I have had wonderful experiences with Time Shred in the past. I hope they take this feedback to heart and return to the warmth, communication, and professionalism that once made their service stand out. read more

An incredible purging this morning.... I had an excess amount of unnecessary papers and files to shred (approx. 150 lbs) and I called around and found a great company called Time Shred to help me. They send a man right to your door and have a 96 gallon container (which holds up to 300lbs). I posted this on my "building link" and received over 5 replies. One of my neighbors had about the same amount of papers so we shared the expense (about $ 100.00 per person). They load your papers onto the truck and you watch on the monitor and witness it all being shred in about 10 minutes! They give you a certificate of completion at the end. This is the most inexpensive, hassle free and secure method of shredding in bulk, ( I researched many options before doing this). If you need their services call Megan, the Manager (she is very helpful) at 212-359-0643 , and she will walk you through the process and options. A great experience this morning. Get rid of the clutter folks, it's a New Year! read more

Absolutely a pleasure to work with! We called and got super friendly helpful information. Pick up was on time, courteous, and stress free. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely top-notch service. Arranged with the Queens office a one-time on-site purge for years worth of "why did I keep those papers?" shredding. The cost is very reasonable when you consider not having to sort and shred a whole lot of stuff. Scheduling was simple: Call the day before, and you get to choose a morning 9:00 to 1:00 or afternoon 1:00 to 5:00 window. The truck arrived well within the window. The process was speedy and literally from your door to the truck. You don't have to lift a finger. read more

I called TIME shred services cause I got boxes and boxes of old files of papers that have past the allotted time so I don't have to fear the IRS . I made the appointment for 1pm and the 2 guys and the shredding truck were on time. I have 22 boxes of plenty of papers that needed to be shredded and I made it easy by having all the boxes by the sidewalk so all the guys had to do is grab each box and empty each one into the paper eater located on the middle side of the truck .rates are reasonable and guys were fairly quick as the whole job took less then 15 minutes . Now I have plenty of needed space in my storage room and maybe I can make my staff happy by putting a sofa in the free space so they can take turns taking naps during their lunch break. Thanks Time shred services. I thank you and my lazy workers thank you. read more

Two interactions with this company so far: 1. Scheduled for a Monday pick up. They called on the day (Monday) that the truck broke down and promises the next day, which is a Tuesday! Tuesday almost ends and it passed the time they say they will come, so I called. Either I could not get an accurate answer or no one picked. I had to call again on Wednesday morning about the issue and they told me I was not scheduled for a pickup. Well, of course, I was not scheduled for a pickup on Wednesday! It was scheduled for Monday and latest Tuesday. I had to call multiple times to get an answer to a point that even my supervisor became frustrated. 2. Called on a Friday to schedule a bin dropoff for a Monday. During the whole conversation, I at least mentioned the dropoff for Monday THREE times and at the end when I say I need it before 5 PM, the lady said we cannot dropoff today (meaning on Friday). SERIOUSLY? The extra star was for the nice driver who came to pick up and answered all my questions. read more

Great service!! I moved to Texas and needed a local shredding company for boxes of medical records. After doing some online research, Time Shred Service seemed to provide the service I needed. It proved to be the perfect choice!! Arrangements were done remotely as I was already in Texas. A friend of mine was there to oversee the process when the TSS team went to my old address in NJ and shredded all records. Fast and painless. I would recommend Time Shred Services to my family and friends. read more

I was purging documents and files prior to a move, and this service was a godsend! Their bins were clean, their people were friendly and professional, and their prices were reasonable. I highly recommend them! read more

Excellent service. Johnny was great. We had an extra half bin to shred for which we were only charged half. Watched via video as the papers were shredded. read more

had an appointment. I called the day before to confirm. I was told to call at 8 am on the day of to get the window. I did was told 10-2. I called at 2:10 after hearing nothing. No answer left a message. It's after 3. I've called 3 times no answer and no pick up. Lousy company. read more

Called yesterday after a friend gave me the referral. Truck arrived today with 2 uniformed, extremely polite individuals to assist. The cost is MUCH LOWER than I paid in either Southern California or Seattle for the same thing. Around ten dollars per good size heavy box of shredding. I almost filled a ten box bin. They let you see the material being shredded right there on the street in their big (and very loud) truck. Safe, secure, no hassle, cheap, polite, easy-to-deal-with. I don't know how it could get any better. If you're lucky, you'll get Joe on the phone and Khamal (spelling?)and Derek in the truck. ps: this is a real review...and every word is true read more

I've used Time Shred for a few years ... usually calling once a year and always greeted like an old friend (I appreciate that). The drivers have always arrived within the time frame given and each has been friendly, respectful, helpful and full of shredding information! Reliable. Professional. Consistent. read more

Though I use these guys once a year the price remains the same, as does the level of friendliness and excellent service. Great little company. -Richelle read more

Easily set up an appointment for the following day, and the driver came and shredded our papers right in front of us. Fee was reasonable, and we were very happy with this service. Would recommend. read more

Untrustworthy. Driver came and left with documents and refused to show the shredding. When we called to complain company wouldn't prove shredding occurred. read more

Abysmal. Scheduled a Saturday appointment for 9am. Was told they'd be here between 9-1. 12pm I called and was told it'd be an hour. 1pm I called and was told it'd be an hour. 2pm I called and was told it'd be another hour so I cancelled and rescheduled. Now the morning of my rescheduled appointment- guaranteed to be the first pick up, at 9am. I called at 9:30am and they told me they'd be 1 hour late. Now 2.5 hours later and they still haven't shown. Don't waste your time. One positive? Their customer service rep (Megan) was nice. read more

Excellent service. Called and they provided a price quote--no fooling around, hidden costs, or trying to 'up-sell'. Excellent telephone experience. They said that they require a one day notice. I called them back and booked an appointment for the next day. They arrived within their stated time window. The truck arrived with two very personable and professional gentlemen. They loaded my documents into the bin (I had three contractor trash bags, and probably would have had room for a fourth) and out to the truck where they shred the documents 'right in front of your eyes.' This was a painless and pleasant experience. I would recommend this team without hesitation. read more

One of the best companies I dealt with. Cheap, efficient, courteous. Professional in every way. My office located in NY needs confidential records of 13 years to be destroyed. This company's price beats the competitors. They were able to do the job THE NEXT DAY. The driver Leley was one of the most pleasant and polite worker I come across. He and two other workers shredded all the documents on site in their mobile truck with a huge industry size shredder. At the end of the day, manager Megan reach out to me and send me a certificate of destruction as promised. No hidden extra charge. No hassle. Everything worked out as promised. Very impressed. Just signed up on yelp in order to rave about them. Would use them again! read more

They were able to come the next day, quoted me a fair price, and told me what time they would be there. The price was the price I was charged, they were there on time, and the man who came was as professional and nice as you could hope for. I will happily use them again. read more

Time Shred is the answer to your prayers. They were incredibly professional in setting up an appointment and accommodating a last minute schedule change. They guys arrived perfectly on time and both were professional and responsive to my request to witness the shredding process as I was shredding highly confidential material. I would recommend them without hesitation. The price was more than reasonable and there were no hidden costs. read more

Found these guys on a Google search, and I am so glad I did! I was called within an hour of my online inquiry, and they said they could be at my house within a day or so. When Joe arrived nice and early, he was very polite and helpful. Everything took about 10 minutes or so in total, I didn't have much to shred, and I went about my day. I would definitely recommend! read more

I was given a time window but they didn't show. I called and was told they would contact the driver and get back to me. They didn't. I called and canceled after waiting 3 hours past the window. Their driver called 3 hours AFTER THAT to let me know he was on the way. I used another company, NEXCUT, and they were a pleasure to work with. read more

When my scheduled shredding company was a no-show, I reached out to Time Shred Services. They were able to get their shredding truck to me that SAME AFTERNOON! So instead of my office clogged with boxes I received VIP service and watched as the documents were shredded right outside our offices. Great Job Time Shred Services! A special thanks to Megan in their office and Ray on the truck. Joseph Clarke read more

If only all businesses were as well run as Time Shred seems to be. Prior to booking I called several times with lots of questions and always the phone was answered quickly and my questions were answered (thank you Megan!). Next day pick up was offered for whenever I was ready, and when I was ready several days later I called and as promised, they were available the next day. The truck arrived during the scheduled time and Jamel, who collected my boxes of paperwork for shredding, could not have been more polite and efficient. Prices were better than I found anywhere in the area (NYC). Best decision to use Time Shred. Highly recommend! read more

Worst experience ever. Do not use this company. USE LEGAL SHRED!!! LEGAL SHRED IS THE BEST!! Was assured by Joe Schepis, who booked the appointment, that the negative reviews I saw here on yelp about trucks showing up late or NEVER was not the case. ANNNDDDD that's EXACTLY what happened. Was given a window of 9am-1pm for arrival. Called at 1:30 to find out where they were, was told that the prior job was running long but that they were on the way, half hour tops. Skip ahead 4 phone calls and 3 hours later: "the truck is now full and will not be coming b/c it has to go back to base and unload." NOT ONCE was a call returned as promised with an updated ETA. NOT ONCE was there a sense of concern about our time or money. NOT ONCE was anyone there who took my call apologetic, diligent, accountable, or even seemingly intelligent. I don't doubt that intelligent people work at this company, however, they seem to leave their brains and their sense of integrity in the parking lot. Companies that do business this way are part of what is wrong with this country. Yup. I just correlated a crappy company and the demise of America. That's how crushingly crappy this company is. If I could give negative infinity black holes instead of one star, I would. After wasting an entire day to Time Shred, I called Legal Shred, they showed up the next morning EARLY, and were cheaper. DO NOT USE TIME SHRED. USE LEGAL SHRED. TIME SHRED SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. read more

One of the easiest transactions ever and the service was great. Got an estimate within a few hours of my request, set up an appointment with only one day's notice, they arrived when promised, took about 15 minutes to get the whole job done. I had both work and personal papers to shred so filled up a large bin, watched it being shred via a TV on the side of their truck...and that was it. Super nice guys, highly recommend. read more

Time Shred is an EXCELLENT service. My mother passed away and it took me well over a year to go through all of her papers and only 10 minutes to collect the bags and shred all of it! After I made the initial arrangement with Joe, I felt secure and safe with the company. The rates for shredding are fair and honest. The staff, including Angela, Megan, and Rosemary are sweet and friendly, very supportive and responsive. Benjamin, the driver who helped me with the bags of papers, is very strong and a real darling. He showed me the entire shredding process. I felt so relieved once the job was finished -- did I say in 10 minutes -- or less?! This is a true example of humans helping other humans. I will call Time Shred Services again next month for the rest of my shredding. Whew! What a relief! You will be relieved too! read more

Super easy and great experience from my initial call speaking to Megan to the guys that came to do the shredding. Also, fun to watch the documents being shredded in the truck:-) Highly recommended! read more

They got the job done, but 6 hours later than promised. The company seems very disorganized about setting up time and arranging for payment. After giving me the 8 AM time slot, she called at 9:30 to say there would be a delay. Again promised to have them there before 12. Several more calls and they came at 2. Neither of the men were able to come up with a way for me to pay with a credit card despite the fact that I had arranged to do that when I made the appointment. They both were pleasant but very inexperienced. As I said, the job got done. read more

Promised to come between 8 to 12 - never showed up. During that time they assured multiple times that the driver is on his way. Don't trust them read more

Called in for some documents shredding and was scheduled between the time frame of 10AM-1PM. Their guys came in about 12.30PM which was still OK with us. Jamal was friendly and started to load the documents into the bins. We originally thought it would at least be 5 bins. The bins were Huge! The whole documents only took 3 bins! Jamal didn't try to cheat us by not filling up the bins. In fact there were some leftovers on top of the 3 bins that he didn't charge. Good service at affordable price. Recommended and would use them again in the future. read more
