Came in with a friend the other day and told the woman we both wanted pedicures, but I would like a manicure as well. She sent us both to the back and told us to have a seat in the pedicure chairs. Almost immediately another technician came over to fill up our tubs. Then, a technician got started on my friend while I sat and my water got cold. After 5 minutes I started to look around to see if my woman was on her way (because mind you, it wasn't that crowded.) After 10 minutes I spoke up and asked when someone would get started with me. I was told "5 minutes"--classic. After a few more minutes, I was livid. The technician working on my friend was giggling and looking over to the rest of the workers, presumably filling them in on my annoyance. I was not shy in letting him know that this was poor service and completely negated the point of coming in together. Once he was on my friend's final coat of polish, someone came over to do my nails. I refused, stating 30 minutes had already been wasted and the afternoon was somewhat ruined. They seemed surprised, though I can't figure out why given the situation; I was not about to get started on a pedicure while my friend sat and dried hers. And then what? Very poor quality powder gel polish and poor quality service. I went on a Saturday afternoon to get a powder gel manicure which cost $40. Less than 24 hours later, on Sunday, the manicure was already cracking. It began chipping on Monday. I called to tell Time Nails and they offered for me to come in and have them fix it. On Tuesday I went in and asked for the entire manicure to be removed and for regular gel polish (my usual) to be applied. The male manicurist said it wouldn't be a problem and would do it free of charge. Obviously that should not have even been a question since my manicure was only three days old! He abrasively filed off the top layer of gel and cut my cuticles and fingers. The acetone burnt terribly when he put the cotton and wrapped them in tin foil. I was left to wait 15 min for it to soak off. Meanwhile he was outside picking his nose and coughing and spitting on the side walk! Disgusting! I watched him go wash his hands when he came back in. He proceeded to sloppily remove the polish. He was unsuccessful in doing so. Pieces of gel were left behind on my nails. Then he left me to work on another client. I told him that I could not wait and would take a refund or store credit. He refused and told me that $40 wasn't a lot of money and the business wouldn't close because of me. Disgraceful! read more

I live in new city and have come to this place a few times, always had a guy to do my mani and pedi, and have been happy. Today I decided to treat myself and got one of the fancier spa treatment where there is a hot stone massage etc, costs quite a bit more than regular mani pedi. Got a woman this time and she was very aggressive, hurt me while doing my pedi and rushed through it all, did it in less time than a regular mani pedi. Very unhappy. My experience is what it has been with a number of nail salons in the area. I was shocked to see that they do not use individually sanitized and packaged tools. I do not and cannot be infected by tools used on numerous clients. I we bleed, we stand the chance of contracting a systemic infection. The current staff and manager do not smile, treat each client as if they are an imposition and the male worker is abrupt and rough. The problem is: We are paying for a service and treated with disrespect an negligence. The owners and workers likely do not read reviews and will be slow to change their work ethic. My only resolution is to avoid this nail salon and stop doing business with anyone who is malcontent at their job. read more

I have gotten 2 pedicures here and both were awful!!! I always give a place a second chance but I have to rethink that. The 2nd time they left me sitting with my feet soaking for over 20 min. This place is very nice and clean. All their tools are taking right out of commercial sanitizer when they serve customers. Unlike some other places I have visited before they leaved the tools on top of the counter. I don't even know if it is sanitized before next use. I feel much saver on this place where I won't get infected with any virus. The people are very nice and patient. I chose different colors and she helps me put on each nails to compare the colors which is very nice of her. I was able to get the color I like the best. One more thing I want to maintain, the massage for the pedicure is the best. They count the time they spent on massage even there's line of customers. It makes my money wealth even on the pick hours. I really enjoy the service they provide and I feel save to do my nails in this place. One down side I have to say is they don't speak very good English. HORRIBLE and their fees are deceptive! "Shirley" did a gel manicure for me. I had an appointment but had to wait 20 minutes before I sat down. Immediately, Shirley walked to the back. Probably to eat her lunch. When she returned, she was continually distracted, looking out the window and having conversations with the other workers in Korean. She got up and walked away CONSTANTLY..either to check someone else's nails or whatever the heck she needed to do. The finished job was very poorly done. My right nails were shaped differently than my left nails. She did not wrap the polish over the tops of the nails, so it's already wearing off. But to make matters worse, the price for a gel manicure is $38 as listed on their menu, but they charge you an extra ten dollars for the polish!!!! Since when does a gel manicure not include the polish???? They were so nasty to me. If I had cash with me I would've given them the 38 dollars and walked out, but I had to use my credit card, so I paid the 48 and disputed the 10 dollar difference. This is a bad place. i had an appointment this morning, I called and scheduled 2 days prior and I'm a black girl by the way. Once I got there which was on time at 9:30am for my 9:30am appointment everyone was staring at me like I didnt belong there. I went to get my pedicure the water was barely warm & she didn't even bother putting the blue stuff in there. She then told me I couldn't get white because it would be too many coats to put on my big toe due to the fact that I had a bruise on my toe. So I just got nude because I had a nail appointment to get to. I went to get my nails done and the nudes didn't match at all. I came back again to change my color, thinking it would be no problem. The guy changes my color to white like I asked for this morning & tried to charge me $30 to change the color. Not only were you guys rude the first time but your asking for a $30 color change fee for a $47 service, knowing that I was there earlier in the morning and I only came back because your staff was too lazy to want to paint my toes correctly. i won't be coming back here again. read more

Don't go on a weekday evening when the weather is nice- even if you make a reservation you will wait about 30min in the front area, then even after you are seated for your mani and/or pedi you may end up waiting a lot longer. I've lived in New City for 22 1/2 years and for the last 12 years, going from salon to salon. I stumbled upon Time Nails about a year ago and I am so happy with the salon. My pedicures last about a month and manicures last at least a week! (Which is surprising since I do a lot with my nails). The staff is friendly and it's nice to know that they're all learning English (and you can understand them while they talk to you). Needed a mani/pedi and it was close to my office. I made an appointment, and place took me on time, but did get busy so if there was no appointment, I would be waiting. I regretted it the moment I came in. The place was DIRTY. Nail dust and clipping on the chairs, lights, etc. Poor lighting and stained ceiling. I went for the $20 special and my manicurist tried to get me to get gel. You don't get the $20 price applied to the shellac, and they want you to pay $30 for shellac and $17 for pedi. The pedi was NOT worth $17. Will never go back as I should have just paid the difference in the mani price, not an extra $27. I would not recommend them at all. read more

I recently went for a Brazilian wax since it was reasonably priced ($40) and could take me on short notice unlike some other places i called. The woman who did the waxing must not have known the term "brazilian" because she continued to ask me if i wanted ALL of the hair off throughout the waxing. Also kept trying to ask me if it was okay to leave hair in certain places. After about 45 minutes of rather painful waxing it was over and I went home only to find that my underwear were basically sticking to me because of all the leftover wax that hadn't been wiped off AND there were several patches of hair that were not removed. I decided to treat myself for my Birthday Got a facial Mani/pedi and waxing. The pedicure was horrible they soaked my feet in water. the wasn't even luke warm more like luke cold and left me soaking while she went to eat lunch. It get worse As I was paying with my credit card i noticed they didn't have a tip section and i didn't have cash on hand i felt bad so i decided when im finish ill run over to cvs to get some cash from the atm. So when i was finished drying my nails I was about to leave the nail tec forcefully grabbed my purse and told me you didn't tip me.I was disgusted at her boldness of grabbing my bag and mind you i went to cvs as i was looking to buy something so i can get cash back...She had followed in to cvs with out me knowing and asked me if i was buying something no class what so ever....When I walked out of cvs she was standing in front i gave her tip ....I would never recommend this place to anyone.
