Our children were signed up for a 3 day horse camp (12 hours total) and they spent less than 1 HOUR actually riding a horse. On the last day of camp they did not get to ride a horse at all. They had the kids doing singing and dancing activities, none of which had anything to do with horses. Their 2 day fishing camp consists of maybe 30-40 minutes of fishing maximum and they only do this on 1 day of the camp. They falsely advertise what they offer and come up with excuse after excuse as to why certain activities cannot be carried out. I will no longer recommend this camp to anyone.

Believe I heard 12yrs old is oldest that can be on the slides. They have a couple of covered cabanas ($50 for 2 hours) as well as larger covered patio that can be rented. My 4yr old nephew had an absolute blast and must have gone down the slides over a hundred times. He could have kept going for hours more if we let him. We packed a lunch which saved money. Kids split a small dipping dots for $5.75. I Highly recommend you go if you have little kids and want to cool off during the hot summer days while at the zoo.

This little splash pad is great fun if it's not too crowded and you can get a couple chairs. There's plenty of shade around the chairs and tables, and there's a few rentable cabanas as well -- $40 for 2 hours and $15 for each additional hour. Totally worth it to guarantee a shady spot to rest and eat! They say the cabanas hold 10 people but I think that'd be pretty crowded. They look more suited for 6 guests when you consider most people have bags, towels, strollers, and small ice chests to store as well. The splash pad itself is small, this isn't a huge water park. Seems best for little kids, like 10 and under. Most kids we saw were probably under 7. Lots of little toddlers! The bigger kids spend most of their time up in the main playground and on the bigger slides, leaving the outskirts of the pad to the little ones. There's a few toddler stations and itty bitty slides, perfect for babies with some supervision. Just be on alert, there's always a big kid or 3 that'll come barreling through at any moment. There are no pools here, no lazy river. It's all splash pad! 14,000 square feet; a "water play area equipped with four slides, a water dump tower, a fill wall for your water toys, animal-shaped water cannons, and a designated toddler play area." There's also concessions; sandwiches, chips, drinks. And a little stand that has anything you might have left at home: swimsuits, towels, goggles, sunscreen, swim diapers... We had the best time here. We were lucky enough to visit when it wasn't packed. Even though it's brutally hot out, we stayed cool in the shade after being splashed. We're zoo members so we'll definitely be back.

We'd been trying to figure out what to do for both kids' birthdays this summer with the no-normal-parties bummer going on. Maybe we could do a masked-up animal show n tell on the back patio...? So I called Cindi (owner of All About Animals) after reading up on her website. She was generally doing online only stuff and was NOT doing birthday parties. I totally understood, I said - we weren't about to have a bunch of kids over right now. But would she do a "private" show n tell for just our 4-person family? She would. Score! Outdoors is too hot for some of the animals during the Texas summer, so we set up inside, with a table for her and 4 chairs facing the table, about 8-10' away. The agreement was she'd be masked up the entire time and so would we. She also left her shoes at the door, which we didn't even ask her to do. The kids loved it. We loved it. It was... just perfect. We picked 10 critters and geared it towards ones we could touch and often hold. The pictures don't show all 10, but dude... it was just awesome. Fun AND highly educational. If you're an animal person AND can be safe and respectful during this time, I HIGHLY recommend this. The kids were immediately asking when the next time Ms Cindi could come over again with her animals. Just... awesome!

When you pull up it's literally just a house with a sign outside with the name on it. When you walk in the place you are hit with an instant animal stench. Not complaining...I mean I get it. To the left was a small souvenir store and the right was an room with a cash register and a table. This room lead into a kitchen where food is prepared for the animals/reptiles. There is also a bird in a cage that lives in there. He is loud and loves attention. Down the hall there is a gender neutral restroom and then the room that holds all the animals/reptiles. The room was small and had many habitats inside. I must say the selection of things to see was awesome! And the presentation of feeding the dragons, lizards, snakes and everything else was totally cool. My three year old loved it!! She was able to help feed and pet many of the reptiles. Just a tip...bring a bug catcher and you could walk away with a walking stick bug! We were bummed when we couldn't take one home. Happy Yelping!

The farm has fresh veggies growing, chickens cackling and sometimes you can even catch an event happening on the farm. Today there was a cooking class taking place as well as a farmers market and live music. You can grab a blanket, bring some chairs or grab one of the seats available and catch up with friends while playing games like corn hole, enjoy some food from the food truck on site or just chill and relax. The folks on the farm are extremely friendly and welcoming. Got questions, they will try to answer them or point you in the direction of someone who may have the answer. Looking to host a private event, they are willing to help bring your vision to life. Go take a trip to the farm and reset your mind!
