We enjoyed a family day at Mainstay Farm today. The farm is spread out in a way that we never felt crowded or overwhelmed. Loved that they had plenty of restrooms available with handwashing stations! I expected porta potties and was pleasantly surprised to have real bathrooms! If you have a family with younger children, this place has a LOT to do. There are swings, playgrounds, jumping pad, you can feed animals, tricycle ride/race, hay ride, train ride, Ferris wheel, flower picking, pumpkin choosing, and much more. While it was a warm day, there is plenty of spaces to stand in the shade and fans to gain relief from. For older kids - like my teen boys, there wasn't that much to do however, they enjoyed the paintball guns and the apple shooters. We also rode the little train ride. Con's: It's expensive! Everything is expensive. Entry is expensive. Picking 7 flowers and 3 sunflowers was $25. For 3 tiny tacos, $15. Train ride was $6 per person and $3 for your dog. I was disappointed in the "petting zoo." You could buy feed but it was hard to feed the very limited animals and was only goats and one donkey. The donkey was hilarious and moping around like Eeyore. There were some free things to do so you could still enjoy the farm without spending too much. With all that said, cost brought down a star BUT having the day to spend with my husband and 2 teen boys is truly priceless. I went in knowing it would be higher priced and also thankful for the time with my boys so we had a wonderful time. It'll be what you make it! Just be prepared for cost and you'll enjoy it. We are hoping to make a return visit for Christmas!

We browsed the pumpkins and brought a few home with us, rode the train and picked flowers from the garden. That was only a fraction of the things to do. I can't wait to make this an annual tradition.

Pumpkin Nights - The haunted house was an added fee and my young boys liked it.

I highly recommend cash because their electronic payment system is slooooow. This place is really fun for the family if you want to get some beautiful photos. There's a cool pumpkin trail with four different lands/themes. The decorations themselves are incredible and each area is vastly different. It's spooky but not horror driven so it's perfectly fine to take your youngins. Do prepare for LONG LINES for the photo ops.

First thing to know: food and drinks are purchased with coupons, so be prepared for that. The main ticket was $28, and there was also a small haunted house that cost an additional $10. The haunted house was a pass...besides I personally felt like it was more geared toward smaller kids. Now, I will say the trails gave me a little exercise, which I clearly needed. There's plenty of walking, lights, pumpkins, themed areas, and LOTS of photo opportunities. And honestly, that is really what Pumpkin Nights was for me pumpkin photo opps, lights, and whatever fun you decide to make out of the experience. If you go with the right people, take cute pictures, enjoy the scenery, and just lean into it, you can have a good time. Overall, I'm glad I experienced it, but this would probably be a one-and-done for me. Pumpkin Nights: cute, festive, very photo-friendly... and definitely what you make of it.

Everyone was very friendly, the entry fee and prices inside are reasonable and free parking was a bonus. We did the corn maze twice, ate some corn on the Cobb and cobbler and got a few pumpkins to take home. We will be back next year! Tip:Get your hay ride tickets as soon as you arrive - they sold out prior to when we could get them!

It seems like everyone wants to visit this particular pumpkin patch, so be prepared for crowds, traffic, and parking. Our experience was actually pretty mild compared to some of the things I've seen people post online. We didn't have to wait too long in line to pay for admission, which was nice. One thing to keep in mind is that they're cash only throughout the pumpkin patch, but there are ATMs available if you forget to bring cash. The pumpkin patch itself is pretty big, with pumpkins everywhere and plenty of opportunities to take cute pictures. They also have a sweet tea station where you get to keep your cup, and the tea was refreshing on such a hot day! There's a little gift shop with some reasonably priced knickknacks, and they also have a zinnia field where you can pick your own flowers for around a dollar per stem if you want to make a bouquet. We also tried the corn maze, which was harder than expected. We never found the exit and eventually gave up and went back out the entrance because we were hot and hungry. As for food, I thought it was overpriced. A basic burger, fries, and drink cost around $12, which felt steep for what you got. The kids' meal was around $7 and included a hot dog, a small bag of chips, and a soda, making it one of the more affordable meal options. And it took a good 25 minutes just to get to the front of the line to order. They also had corn, bagged popcorn, and funnel cakes, although we didn't try those this time. A couple of things to keep in mind: it was really hot during our visit, and my allergies flared up badly afterward. If you have seasonal allergies, I'd recommend preparing ahead of time. Also, be ready for lots of walking and crowds! Overall, I'm glad I got to experience it at least once, but between the crowds, parking situation, heat, and food prices, I don't think I'd go back. It's a cute place for fall pictures and family activities, but for me, one visit was enough.
