Upon first exchange, Dee's first…read moreinterest was not about getting to know me better and vet my suitability of adopting one of her pups - she was just solely concerned about one thing, the hefty $1000 deposit. She sends a few pictures and quickly follows up with her cash app details so that I can transfer her money. I've requested a phone call and a video chat with the puppy which fell by the wayside. Once you transfer the $1000, that's when her communication falls to the bare minimum. Many breeders will happily send you progress updates on the pup a few times a week, whether it's pics, videos or simply chatting about the pup, but again, bare minimum. This breeder will not send weekly updates, but has mentioned that they only update ONCE every 3 weeks! When she does relent and sends a pic, it's an older pic of the puppy that she probably took in batches weeks ago. It was definitely NOT a current one. This leads me to believe that she has absolutely no interest for the pups and the prospective owners. She'll tell you that she's a reputable breeder for X amount of years, yada, yada, but it's obvious that her priority is just collecting the cash. When I kindly inquired about a video she promised (she sent zero), she sends her husband Joe out to be her snap-happy pitbull. She will then block you through social media and possibly other means. I feel blessed that I received my deposit back, and a refund on my flight scheduled on puppy pickup day due to the airlines's awesome Covid related refund policy. Do your research folks! Unfortunately, I didn't research and went through hell and back with these people. Google the company name and the owner. You will be sure to find other negative reviews. One in particular states that she sold a dog with a neurological issues, forged AKC papers and another pup that sadly died due to a congenital issue! There was also a lawsuit. Another says that Dee told a prospective owner that she her facility is so well run, she hardly needs to check up on her pups. There are other better qualified breeders out there! Research, research and remember to screen your breeders. Video chat with them and your pup! Choose one that has a genuine interest in you and the pup and keeps up the communication!

Shortly after bringing him home, the puppy was diagnosed by my licensed veterinarian with pica, a compulsive disorder that causes ingestion of non-food items. As a result, he required one obstruction surgery and was taken to the emergency room five times for ingestion of foreign objects during the three and half months that I owned him. This condition required ongoing management and significant expenses. I ultimately returned the puppy to the breeder as outlined under the contract, with a very tearful goodbye. He ingested another foreign object, and I could no longer afford medical expenses for the puppy after spending approximately $15k in medical expenses prior to receiving any insurance reimbursement at that time. In order to return the puppy, I signed a liability waiver and non-disparagement clause, which stated that no financial reimbursement would be provided, a new puppy would not be provided, and that I could not make negative public statements about the breeder. This whole experience has been financially and emotionally devastating for myself and my 5 year-old son. I am sharing only my personal, factual experience so that others can make informed decisions. I would be happy to speak with anyone who would like additional factual information or documentation regarding my experience.

Kathy Renteria/RAGDOLL BLUES sent kittens to new homes with Ringworm and Ear-mites infecting our whole house. Let me be clear. Given the pandemic our house has been isolating for nearly a year. There have been no animals or people other than our immediate family in the home. Our new kitten had scabbing and wounds when we took receipt. Having NEVER had ringworm I had no idea what was going on with our new kitten until 10 days into his time with us. Within 10-12 days we all broke out with ringworm, photos to follow. My elderly mother had it the worst. After surviving COVID she was infected due to Kathy Renteria's irresponsibility. DO NOT get your kitten from Kathy Renteria/RAGDOLL BLUES
