Stop reading reviews!…read more You don't need to go any farther! Caleb at Granite Direct is all you need to know! From the 1st time I walked in the door, it was a completely different and far better experience than at any of the several other granite suppliers I'd visited. Hmm, what could be the phrase....does "distant attentiveness" make sense? Caleb was definitely there to help with any questions I had, but not hovering as if trying to rush me along. The selection is not the largest in the city, to be sure, but diverse enough that anyone should find at least a couple of slabs they like. After I spent maybe an hour going around and around, unable to decide, Caleb asked a few questions about the space, the light and the effect I wanted. He walked around the warehouse with me and pointed out on individual pieces what colors worked best, if a subtle effect could be expected or a more dynamic one, how a piece would reflect light, how it would work with the adjoining room. I've done several renovations before, and wasn't my first time to the granite rodeo, but no one had ever made it so easy for me to make a decision. When I first went to Granite Direct, it was because a fabricator I had worked with in the past sent me there. Without going into all the problems with that person/company, NOT working with him was perhaps the best thing of all! Caleb sent me an artist! Vataly was superb! And that he was so well mannered and respectful of my home was a bonus! Every measurement was very, very precise and he measured and remeasured to be sure it was exactly right in my completely out of kilter kitchen. The breakfast bar that I wanted was just a little unusual, and Wow! did it ever come out perfectly! He cut the granite so the veins were in exactly in the most attractive places. And delivery was exactly on time, in spite of just having an accident that put him in a cast! Oh, did I mention cost? While some fabricators, who will remain nameless, wanted me to buy another whole slab of granite, to make his work easier, Caleb furnished Vataly (VDM Granite Unlimited) with the extra remnant needed to keep my cost down! What a guy! Amazing customer service! I 'll never go anywhere else for granite and neither should you. A+, 5 star experience from the beginning to the end!

Chris initially came across professional but quickly made me feel as though he did not have time for my job or care to correct the situation after work was complete. There is a seam in the countertop at the sink and the quartzite is sagging where it meets which creates about a quarter inch gap between the counter and backsplash. I called and emailed pictures to Chris, to which he did not respond but had the installer call and come out to correct the problem They filled the quarter inch gap with silicone and said that is all they can do. Please see uploaded pics if you are interested to see the work.

We went with Kitchens on Broadway after receiving a glowing recommendation from neighbors who had a great experience. Unfortunately, we later discovered that the designer they worked with had left the company, along with several other senior designers. We skipped doing our own homework and ended up regretting it. We paid a $1,200 design fee, and after six months--only after we had repeatedly asked for our money back--we finally received renderings and a layout that essentially copied a design we had already created ourselves using free online software and had provided to them three months earlier, so this was incredibly disappointing. Since then, we've done our own research and found several other reputable kitchen and bath designers in the Denver area who offer an initial design, budget estimate, and timeline before requiring any payment. Often being able to provide an initial design within 2 weeks. That level of transparency and professionalism made us realize how far off our experience here was. I strongly recommend doing your due diligence as there are better options out there.

Most of them were traditional (even COLONIAL) style which... aren't we done with that yet?!?! 250 years later? Anyway, I kept googling and binging and was not able to find a local showroom for plumbing supplies and fixtures. The searches were filled with ads for places in New Jersey or Wisconsin. Finally, I found Ultra Design Center buried on page 2 or 3 on my fifth attempt. I visited them immediately and am so glad I did. They offer a range of european and some american offerings that cost a little more than Lowe's, but with a huge selection, and cleaner, smarter designs. Stuff that Lowe's might carry in 5-10 years. The prices are 20% higher, but well worth it imo, because most of the choices from the big box stores were made in china. Bring your contractor or your plumber's business card to receive their contractor's discount. After receiving that discount my prices compared favorably with anything I found online. Their showroom is beautifully curated and showcases an incredible range of lighting, hardware, and plumbing fixtures. They also offer wellness products like saunas and steam, all under one roof. I incorporated several of Ultra's light fixtures into a showroom I recently designed, and they were absolute standouts. The quality, aesthetic, and pricing are exceptional, and having the ability to see so many of their products installed throughout the IDC building gives designers such a helpful "real-world" perspective. Beyond the product selection, the team is knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely hands-on. Whether in the showroom or the warehouse, every experience has been organized, attentive, and incredibly supportive. I highly recommend Ultra Design Center to anyone working in the design or construction space!

With any big project, there are inevitable problems that arise. Scott had all of them fixed without complaining or trying to avoid them. It was at times at great cost to him. A good contractor fixes problems without blaming and that's exactly what Scott did. We gave the company a 4 star instead of a 5 star because some of the problems were avoidable on the installation of the heated floor and the electrical work. We were thankful to have permits for these and for the construction of a new wall. We will definitely use them again but will watch the process closer and get permits again. Scott is very easy to work with and made our home even more beautiful than we imagined it.

It went about as smooth as you can expect from a larger project. Of course there were unexpected items that cropped up from time to time, but the FBC team worked through it with us and we always came up with a resolution that worked for all parties. Construction - Every part of the construction was completed very well and the team took feedback from us along the way on anything we didn't understand or items we wanted changed. Cons: there was a lot of staff turnover from design to finish and so we often needed to repeat certain decisions that had been made earlier on in the process but not recorded, or some things would even get done in construction that then needed to be corrected, due to dropped communication after a staff member left. That was frustrating, but in the end we had a finished space that we have been happy with over the last year+
