We eat here a lot. They're a diner, not a high end restaurant. The food is good, served by the same faces we've come to recognize and call out by name. One reviewer talked about racism. I don't feel this at all and the staff certain.y looks like the community they serve. It's not up to me to say for others, but I will say it's not like that for us. Good, reliable and consistent diner food! read more

The waitstaff was kind but they were very busy, The place is very small. Definitely a waffle house vibe. The waitress and the cook were yelling at each other because he couldn't read her writing and orders were coming out wrong. Ours was wrong as well, but as we sat there batting away flies it just went downhill from there. Food was ok (once they fixed the order) Ambience is old, which would be cool if it were clean. Service was ok read more

won't be dining here, and I urge others to think twice. A close friend of mine experienced blatant racism, gaslighting, and repeated microaggressions at this establishment. The staff either lacked the awareness to recognize their behavior or chose to ignore it entirely--which is just as harmful. No one should be made to feel unsafe or invalidated while simply trying to enjoy a meal. This kind of environment is not just disappointing--it's dangerous. read more

Great food, excellent service (shout out to Tiffany). The place is usually pretty busy but they crank out the chow. I'm a big fan of this casual eatery. read more

May not look great from the outside but the food is amazing. It has the best breakfast in Roxboro if you are looking for a sit down restraunt. They have all sorts of items and it's all so good! read more

This restaurant has been around for decades. If you want down-home good eats with friendly and welcoming staff this is the place. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend it for breakfast. The meatloaf with all the fixings stands out and I've ordered it often. read more

This place makes the best tasting pancakes I've ever had. The servers are polite and check up on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. I wish I was still in the area because I would definitely come back. read more

Burnt coffee, roaches, greasy, this place used to be decent before it was bought by racist. Now it's just gross.

Good no frills Waffle House vibe. Pancakes were just what I wanted. Not a super clean place but it's up to Waffle House standards I'd say

Definitely 5 stars for a diner. The Master burger, Philly and omelettes are pretty dang awesome. No frills just a hearty meal. read more

Food is always cooked to order so it arrives fresh and hot. Service is fast and friendly. Great place for a reasonable meal. Breakfast is the best! read more

Timberland Restaurant - Turkey Club - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Roxboro, North Carolina

Very busy and not enough staff to carry the load. Food was good but service was very slow

Very good. I recommend the timberland scramble. It's obvious the ingredients are fresh and the coffee was good too.

Stopped in while just passing through and was very pleased to find an old school diner-style place with great food and great prices.

Did not feel welcome when going into restaurant. After reading comments on Facebook now I understand why.

Breakfast and service were good. The place has a real local flare with a character or two mingled in! I rate them on the "Would I go back scale" a yes! read more

Keep driving past the Madison Blvd Roxboro location and while you're at it, don't take a chance on the South Boston Road location either. You'd be MUCH better off. Poorly managed, untrained staff, no customer service skills, rude staff. Just stay away read more

The food was not too bad but I was so concerned with the waitresses and staff on this particular day. No one that worked there was wearing masks and you could clearly see that many were sick enough not to be there. Coughing, red eyes and noses...cough cough cough. The cook was telling the lady at the counter who also was sick of how he felt last week with the coughing and pain in his chest...we could clearly hear all of this. When out waitress returned to our table I asked her if she had a cold. She replied that she had cleaned a closet out at home and the dust bothered her... and it was allergies. So 4 people who worked there have the same allergy ??? Not good !! read more

There is always a twinge of concern coupled with a compelling curiosity when you approach a restaurant and see a sign announcing that "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone", and adjacent to the door is a bench with an advertisement for a local bail bondsman on it (Big Mitch is his name, should you need his services). The restaurant, which I am almost certain is a converted Waffle House (if that tells you anything), is connected to a seedy flop house, and, as such, both look pretty run down. But the food inside was really good! Cheeseburger was excellent, fries were good, and onion rings were cooked perfectly but were a little bland. Service was adequate as was the value. No fountain drinks--canned sodas only, FYI. Evidently, a lot of countrified locals frequent this place, and their banter with each other and the waitstaff is a riot. read more

Great burgers, fish plates & my son loves the pancakes. It's definitely a little hole in the wall but a great value for the typical diner.

Great breakfast.. Hometown spot.. Welcome waffle house to town but don't for get the Lil ppl.

Food was never great but I always supported local businesses. Now the owner has shown her true colors and made a racist highly offensive remark. So long and no longer will have my support. read more

Don't be put off by the location next to what appears to be a "no tell motel". The Timberland Restaurant has probably the best breakfast in Roxboro. The food is cooked to order, down to the grits, so don't be surprised if your order takes 20 minutes or so to arrive if you order them. It takes that long to make them. Their biscuits are big and fluffy, eggs done perfectly. We'll go back. read more

Breakfast stop for sure; been there 3 times and never a bad breakfast and always good service and a friendly atmosphere

Biscuits are house made & delicious. Wish they had better jelly or real butter to slather all over them but they standalone just fine. Hashbrown a are delightfully crispy, I asked for shredded onion to be added to mine. Service is friendly & food is quick. read more

Fantastic diner with the hardest working staff and some of the best food in North Carolina! Had Brunswick stew that was amazing!!! Super friendly service, good price and great all around diner food! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING. UNFRIENDLY STAFF !!!my experience was awful for the 2nd time. They don't even acknowledge you when you walk in. You have to ask for silverware and refills for water. read more

We love diners and this one makes our list! Read the other reviews and decided to try it on our way North to Virginia. Ignore the cover of this book and just enjoy the food. Great cheese omelet and pancakes. Bacon was perfect and the coffee was on target as well. We sat at the counter (always the best seat in a true diner) and loved the original metal foot rests. The staff is great, attentive and busy in this great bustling country gem. We'll be back. Enjoy! read more

Felt so at home and loved by Anne our waitress-she was such a sweetheart!!!.... The food was also great, best cheeseburger in Roxboro. Doesn't look like much from the outside but definitely worth it to eat here. Also open all night on Fridays :) read more

Lived in Roxboro for 18 years and never knew about this place until reading about it on yelp. Food was really good and waitstaff very friendly. Will go back again. read more

Awesome food...everything is good! Great pecan pie! Breakfast is all day, and the cooks and servers are friendly, efficient, and fast.

I've been going to this diner since I was a small child. My grandfather used to work here. The staff are always welcoming. The new owners have redone the place and it just feels really at home there. It might not look like much from the outside but once you get inside you'll be amazed by how hard everyone is working. The food taste absolutely delicious. I try to go there every time I get paid. (So about once a week). Everyone knows everyone here and its honestly the best atmosphere. read more

Great place (one of the few) to get a tasty and very fast breakfast in the Roxboro area. Each time I have gone, we have received decent service and the orders are always accurate. You can watch them grill right there, and fulfilling meals are very reasonably priced. I don't care for the location, attached to a very low class motel. However, nobody seems to bother you, though I wouldn't attempt dinner. None the less, if you're looking for a great breakfast and you're in the area, this is a decent place to do so. I recommend the western omelet and their hash browns. Delicious! read more

Food is great here. Never judge a book by it's cover though. We lived here 6 years before we even ate there because it seemed shady because of it's outward appearance. The inside isn't better either, but that says nothing about their food. I do wish they had more options, and allergen free ones too. The food is always cooked on the grill where all can see and seems to always be busy. The whole soda in a can thing is a bit annoying but at least they give you a cup with ice to pour it in. read more
