My search for basic walking sneakers was fast. Special shout out to Evan, who went above and beyond with making sure i had the Nike App downloaded to save even more. There was a family who brought their dog in - I love dogs - I have a dog so I'm not anti dog but I do not appreciate people disobeying rules and bringing dogs in that are not service dogs. What was even more awful about this interaction was the family it was like 4 grown adults all crowded onto the bench I was using and put their dog on the bench behind me ! Like directly behind me. I don't know if their dog is reactive they don't know if I'm allergic- it was utterly rude and I would have appreciated the staff stepping in to say something. The people laughed and apologized but as I got up to walk around in my shoes my stuff clearly still on the bench, they completely took over the entire bench and I had to yank my stuff away. I didn't look at anything else in the store I immediately wanted to leave. The line was long we got there at store opening and there was a mad rush of people to get in. I did walk away with two pairs of shoes which was the goal. I was asked about my account I wasn't sure what my brothers info was for his and the employee didn't press for any more info , not telling me if there was any benefit to linking my account. He placed the receipt on top of the boxes in the bag which blew away when I walked out because the boxes were sticking out. Overall, not my favorite experience. Luckily I did walk away with two good pairs of shoes.

Since I started working back in March, I've been wearing my Merrell hiking boots and have had no issues with my feet. Unfortunately, I have to wear black shoes with my uniform and since I couldn't find any black hiking boots at the Merrell store, I decided to check out New Balance. I received great service while I was there. I've had plantar fasciitis (PF) in the past and because of that, I'm concerned switching shoes since I walk so many miles each week. The gentleman who helped me was extremely informative and gave me many options. Interestingly enough, he started out with their less expensive sneakers and even showed me some shoes on clearance that would work for me. It wasn't until I was more concerned about the PF that he told me about their 993 which are meant for people who have issues with PF. He told me they are more expensive ($129.99) which is why he doesn't normally suggest them right away. In the end, I found the 993s to be very comfortable but offers lots of support. He changed out the laces from grey to black for me and gave me a discount. When he found out that I have a military i.d., I received a better discount. I would definitely recommend going here if you're looking for New Balance sneakers. Wonderful service! A++!

I often find treasures that I can then gift, or add to our children's library. I've bought many, many books here. Sadly, the store is often dirty. And then often the book section is an exaggerated state of disarray. The books in front are all placed forward facing, blocking all the books behind them like a mean little fence. I thought there was a crazy person coming to the store doing this, but no, it's the store staff. Apparently the only solution to overstock is to stuff the books in wherever and who cares about how the customer will experience that. Any child who comes to peruse can't move a book without the potential of a avalanche of books collapsing forward. There is no rhyme or reason for the state of the book sections, all I know is that sorting books vertically with the titles facing outward can't be that hard. The employees are always operating at the minimum status, often not saying a word to us at check out, besides "here's your receipt". I probably won't ever return, simply because it's obvious the owner or manager or whoever does not seem to care about the way customers will experience their store or the experiences they will have in the store. Why support a business that seemingly just doesn't care?
