I used to love this shoe store for the variety of styles offered: business practical, upscale stylish, and basic casual. Now practical only. I've stopped shopping here unless wanting to walk a trail or slip into an orthopedic style. I have a narrow heel, ever more difficult to find a fit as shoes are mostly for a wide foot read more

Stopped in 2 times lately. Neither time did anybody acknowledge me or even come talk to me about anything. I walked all around the store looking at several things even tried on some things in the clearance area and things that were already out hanging nobody said a word to me. Lost my business for sure read more

Exceptional service! The person who helped me listened to the issues I had with my foot and gave multiple options. She was also very knowledgeable and was able to guide me to the right shoes. Highly recommend! read more

I've been shopping here for years and am never disappointed. This week I came in with medical needs and lots of questions. Lisa patiently answered every question, in spite of being very busy that day, and brought out several pairs of shoes to try on. The shoes she recommended turned out to be very helpful in relieving my symptoms. I would highly recommend this store to anyone who wants to take care of their feet. read more

This is NOT a factory outlet store where you have to: 1) help yourself, 2) wonder up and down rows of boxes of shoes to find what you are looking for, 3) attempt to find a place to sit to try on the shoes. RB Shap Shoes is the exact opposite. I was greeted at the door. Led to chair and asked what I was interested in seeing and having. I spoke with Lisa who is a professional shoe fitter. She began by measuring my feet and discussing my foot problems. I picked out sneakers from several different manufacturers. RB Shap Shoes has an incredible selection of sneakers, sandals, boots, shoes from a wide range of manufactuerers. Lisa brought out 7 different sneakers from different manufacturers. She put each shoe on my feet, tied the laces and then checked the fit. She worked with me for at least an hour and I bought two really comfortable pairs of sneakers. If you want service and professionalism RB Shap Shoes is the place to go!! read more

I always receive prompt. courtesy service, especially from Jayne. They have a very good selection of stylish and comfortable footwear. The easy-to-access location, the layout of the store, and the fact that you can try the shoes on, make it worth the few extra dollars. They have good sales a couple of times a year. read more

Very nice selection of men shoes in a small private shop. Not a lot of choice (more for women it seems)but it does usually meet my own requirements especially with the clarks brand. Those are expensive shoes but nice and good quality ones. And they do have a sales area where you can find very good bargain. Just got me a pair of clarks for the summer at 49$ (worth 150$!) together with some more sports ones (European brand) at regular price. Definitely my favorite destination for shoes in Lancaster area. read more

The PA for my foot doctor recommended RB Shap when I said I was having a hard time finding very firm soled shoes. With the help of the very knowledgeable staff, I found 3 pairs of just what I needed. I hate shoe shopping, but this was really painless. And the price of 2 of the pairs was considerably less than I expected. read more

I was extremely pleased by my shopping experience at this shoe store today! I loved the shoes that I purchased! I was fitted properly and guided toward the right shoe selections based upon my need. Debbie spent an extraortdinary amount of time with me and she encouraged me to look in the sale selection as well for additional choices. I will definitely be a return customer and I am extremely grateful to my physical therapist for guiding me here! RB Shapp Shoes, I will definitely be a lifelong customer! read more

Shap review below. First, a comment on another review of Shap. Being in Lancaster County, Pa., there are many others stores, just hard to find(On the back roads, in the tiny towns and at the farms.). However, for shoes for everyone and lots of other family stuff, there is one other, for sure: Weaver's Store, in Fivepointville, 1011 Dry Tavern Rd., Denver, Pa.(Several miles South of Rt. 272, on Rt. 897). Pricey to reasonable(Ha), makes for a nice ride through the Dutch Country, too. They've got Dutchy and "English" food, makes for a fun, kid-friendly lunch! RB Shap is a fine store - they are local which makes it better, yet. wife often buys shoes there as she is all day on concrete floors in a large garden center, and she appreciates the quality, with price not an issue compared to comfy, healthy feet. Recommended. read more

Staff and patrons all wearing appropriately fitting masks. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful without an ounce of pretension or pushyness. Will be going back. read more

Have been in this store twice hopeful to find what I needed without guessing with an online purchase. Both times I have had my three children with me. Each time, my children were well behaved, playing with the foot measuring device quietly while I browsed. The employees walked right passed me without a word of acknowledgement. Really disappointing. I'll risk an online purchase not being right in place of dealing with people like that any day. Their lose. read more

This is a very special shoe store that carries a ridiculously good variety of comfort brand shoes. I have morton's neuromas and other heel pain issues from running. I love to go here at least twice a year to try on their new stock of boots and shoes Going to this store is so much better than ordering 10 or more different pairs of shoes bought online trying to find comfort. I bring my custom orthotics with me and the staff are always more than helpful. The owner keeps his prices competitive with online prices, so I am motivated to purchase in store instead of online. Definitely worth the trip! I love this place. read more

I like the staff fine, I thought everyone was perfectly friendly. I don't need a party just because I walked in the door. I don't need a greeting even, so long as there is someone to help if I need it, and there always is. They stock quality shoes that are comfortable and well made. I have bad feet, but I don't want to look like a dork, so I think this place is great. read more

Could not get anyone to wait on me!!! I have been to this store quite a few times over the year and it is always the same. The sales ladies size you up as you walk through the door. When I was there the last time I heard on of the sales ladies be very rude to an older customer. I was shocked!!! It is my belief there is a serious issue with the management at this store. The store is losing sales because of the employees. Employees are rude and are not interested in helping the customers. I do not think I will be back which is too bad. Do yourself a favor and keep driving. read more

This is my favorite shoe store. I work as a retail manager & really hate the hard sell. RB Shap has quality shoes at competitive prices & they're not pushy! I, like one of the other reviewers, do not need a party when I walk in the door. The staff is friendly & helpful when you need them. read more

So this isn't your fancy box store with big sales and suave iPad checkout... But I've started to be a loyal customer here. Bought my second pair of shoes there today; Sperry's of course! I'll always keep a pair of Sperry's around for boat shenanigans and to wear with classy shorts. They had my size (13) which no one else had in stock for only $85.99. They're close to $100 everywhere else. But I'm going to focus on my first pair of shoes... I'm a sales rep and am on my feet a lot. I came in and told the owner that my feet are hurting and I'm ready for some decent shoes that don't give out in a few months. He right away told me I may have to spend a little more. I like that, upfront, what you see is what you get. No b.s. and telling me about sales etc. He assisted me in trying on several pairs and then finally recommended a new Hawaiian Hand Made shoe called Olukai. I bought them and they're the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. They even have a warranty on them. Today when I stopped in I showed the clerk that they were scuffing a little (normal for genuine leather) and she directed me to some mink oil to condition the leather. Only $4.00 for the oil! I've bought mink oil for $20-$30 at other stores. And this is real stuff made in the USA. Great little store! SUPPORT LOCAL businesses!! read more

I have never been in RB Shap before yesterday. I was told by my PCP that I have Plantar Fasciitis and he suggested I get better shoes so........I drove right to this store. Robin helped me and she was WONDERFUL!! She spent I am guessing an hour and a half helping me find the correct shoe for my stubborn feet. They have a great selection of comfy shoes and some are so freaking adorable!! I will definitely be going back! read more

This is a wonderful shop with great selection...but if you wear a wide shoe or are larger then size 10 you are out of luck. They only sell sizes 37-41 (7-10) in standard width. As this is the only independent shoe store in the county, I find it extremely disappointing that they would only cater to a small number of people. They are also very stingy with their men's sizes and styles. I want to support local business, but thanks to their limited selection it's back to Amazon and Zappos for me. read more

I have to say that I was very disappointed by the terrible customer service . No one acknowledged my existence, no one offered any help at all , I was followed around the store as if I was going to take something and glared at by one sales person . While I was looking at a shoe one of the sales people almost knocked me over while getting shoes for another customer. It's just wrong to treat people this way . I did not feel welcomed in the store at all . They have a nice selection of shoes but I won't be going back . Utterly disgusted ! read more

Very disappointing store. The staff are fatphobic and ignore the customers. Although many of the brands the store carries come in wide or wider widths, the store does not actually stock the larger widths. I buy several hundred dollars worth of shoes every year, but RB Shap will be missing out on it. read more

I went in the store looking for a pair of Birkenstocks, as they are the only place to buy them in Lancaster. I wasn't greeted initially, but when I found the sandals I wanted, I was able to get the attention of a staff member. The display shoe stated the price as $89.99. The staff member was able to find my size and asked if I'd like to try them on. I declined as I have several other pairs, and said I'd take them. On the way to the register the associate said she needed to check on something. She walked to another staff member and had a short conversation. She then preceded to tell me that the box said $94.99, and they wouldn't honor the $89.99. Apparently, "it's the owners policy". I know it is only $5, but it's the principle of it. This isn't the first time I have had issues, nor am I the only one I know who has had issues. They have forever lost me as a customer. I'll buy my Birkenstocks from Zappos. read more
