When I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, I quickly realized not all care is the same. I had…read moreinteractions with other providers along the way, but I never felt truly seen or prioritized--until I met Dr. Caravella. From the beginning, he treated my case with the urgency it deserved. There was no delay, no complacency--within two weeks of my diagnosis, he had me in surgery. Shortly after, he ensured my chemo port was placed so treatment could begin without interruption. What stood out just as much as his decisiveness was his empathy. He didn't approach me like just another case--he understood the gravity of what I was facing and made sure I felt it through his actions, not just his words. After surgery, I learned that 4 out of 17 lymph nodes tested positive. It made it clear how aggressive this was and how close it was to becoming fully metastatic. Waiting even a little longer could have changed everything. I understand that in medicine, there are systems, schedules, and metrics--just like in any profession. But from where I stand, this wasn't just another case. It was my life. Because of his ability to act quickly and his commitment to doing things the right way, I truly believe he saved my life. And while this may be part of what he does every day, it will never feel ordinary to me. I'll never forget it--thank you, Dr. Caravella, for giving me a second chance at life.

Wow. 5++++++ Was…read morereferred to Dr. William H. Scott Jr. D.O. for surgery. This guy is a freakin STUD. We connected immediately, then found out we were military, combat Veterans. I knew the surgery would be robotically assisted. I have dealt with the pain of the organ that was going to be surgically removed for over a decade. The polyps also reached the point where there was no choice but removal (due to a higher risk for cancer). I mentioned Intuitive Surgical (the stock I know of and how they have majority of the market) to him and he said, "yep". Dr. Scott actually trained (still trains) other surgeons, across the country on the robotic system, known as the "da Vinci" Robotic Surgical System. When I heard this, I knew I was in the presence of a HIGHLY skilled and expert surgeon. It's excellent enough to know how to operate with the robotic system, but to also be able to teach it? On another level. One BIG note on Dr. Scott's military experience. He was on the front lines in combat, taking care of the most critically wounded and getting them back to a more stable place (like Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany), which is the only place our most critically wounded are sent, before returning to the USA for follow on care. Landstuhl is the only place I remember that was the hub for both Iraq AND Afghanistan. Dr. Scott's military, combat service is one you CANNOT REPLICATE. The life and death decisions, the constant pressure and stress of being on a GST (Ground Surgical Team) in remote places (look up what a GST is and does). He told me he was tired (I am sure burnt out) of deploying all the time. Can you now see the massive experience and expertise, combined with his tremendous compassion for those he operates on? Dr. Scott's demeanor is cool, calm and confident. He just exudes coolness. I have tattoo's and thought his tattoo "half-sleeve" was cool. He told me he had my type of surgical removal down to 10 minutes. I was like "what?!"..haha. When I tell others this, they are like, there is no way. Not with him and his skillset + robotic assist. Day of the surgery, he told me he had resident surgeons he was guiding/teaching that day I had surgery. He came in and was HYPERFOCUSED. He asked if I had any questions. Nope. That was it. I was wheeled in and immediately my entire mouth was covered with anesthesia. The anesthesia was so "HEAVY" to me, after post-op. I was thinking there was no way I was waking up from that surgery. Everything went smoothly from pre-op, surgery and post-op. I looked forward to our 2 week follow-up. I was pleasantly surprised that I saw the Resident Doctor (that was guided by Dr. Scott during surgery), before seeing Dr. Scott. Dr. Scott gave me the "green light" (no restrictions) and I was like "hell yes"! He also mentioned that I could come back anytime with any questions or concerns. Just a GREAT experience overall. Thank you Dr. Scott and the Resident Surgeon. Thank you also the rest of the Team that makes everything seem to flow perfectly. To the Anesthesiologist, to the RN's, Medical Assistants (backbone of healthcare) and the surgery scheduler. Also to my spiritual brother (you know who you are), for getting me to the start line, through the procedure and beyond the finish line. Now another finish line appears. Have to adjust my way of life a bit, but the goal is always to get better, NOT bitter. ALWAYS with a "beginner's mindset", moving forward. So many moving pieces to make this work. I am deeply grateful and thankful. Dr. Scott :::::HIGH FIVE, BROTHER:::::

Beware of several things before scheduling an appointment, if not you might end up wasting your…read moretime making a trip to his office. REMEMBER, what happens in any doctor's office is 100% dictated by the doctor. The help is only following directions of the doctor. _________________________________________________ 1) You will be playing "phone tag" with his reps. 2) Once contact is made you will not be able to complete your registration questionnaire online or via a portal - you will need to do it in the office (20th century practice). I believe - this is not accidental as it perpetuates the insurance coverage confusion. 3) Dr. Dasari does not accept secondary insurance along with your primary insurance. He only accepts supplementary insurance with your primary insurance. This is not disclosed on the website. 4) Be 100% sure what type of insurance(s) and coverage you have -get with his office manager before you waste time making & going to an appointment. The last thing you need is finding out your insurance(s) are not accepted by his office. 5) The reps who you will be "playing phone tag" with are either not up to speed with insurance coverage details or are not willing to disclose them. Remember, they are really people who are there to close the deal (sales people). They only do what the doctor instructs them to do. Bottom line: When a doctor only accepts Supplementary Insurance they end up with more $ in their pocket and the patient ends up with more out of their pocket (expenses). *My suggestion: move on to a doctor who clearly advertises the insurance they accept. Suggestion, find one who accepts secondary coverage insurance with your primary coverage insurance.

I have been a…read morepatient of hers since 2017 and since then she and her medical assistant have treated me like a person, not a number. Her bedside manner is fantastic and she shows compassion all while giving it to you straight. I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at 31. I underwent chemo, followed by a double mastectomy, which she and a plastic surgeon performed. My cancer was aggressive and it came back a few times. Instead of waiting who knows how long to schedule a lumpectomy at the hospital she removed the newly formed lumps right then and there in the office. She is extremely on top of her patients care. Since my cancer was extremely fast growing it was the best decision, and I absolutely have the highest respect for her and what she does. Who knows what those lumps would have turned into if I had to wait a few weeks or where they might have spread. My family and friends has accompanied me on most of my visits and they all think she is absolutely one of the best decisions I made for my care. She also is very punctual and you are usually in a room at or within 10 minutes of your appointment time. I feel completely comfortable with Dr. Lin-Duffy and she answers all of my questions big or small. While you are in the office you are her main priority and she never once made me fell rushed. She just removed my port today in office! Pretty quick and more importantly I didn't have to go under anesthesia for something that could be removed fairly easily. She's absolutely the best. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is starting or has already started their breast cancer journey.
