We had a great experience working with Tim as our realtor in selling our childhood home. He is a very personable, ease going person who was attentive to our needs. In addition, he was readily available to answer any of our questions and to provide us with guidance throughout the process. We feel that his knowledge of the area and of homes built in this area was instrumental in helping us sell this house. The whole process ran very smoothly from start to finish without any hiccups. read more

Tim was our realtor for our recently sold home and the purchase of our current home. We wanted to buy another place before we moved, and his expertise came in handy for that. He's very knowledgeable about Comps and Days on Market, but his real gift is understanding other realtors and potential buyers; knowing the things those folks are going through and guiding us through the decision process. I guess that comes with years in the business. If you're looking for a good real estate agent, use him. Westside, The Valley or Santa Clarita, he can help you find the place that'll become your home. read more

Tim was completely hands on with both our recent purchase and the sale of our old house. He went above and beyond, putting so many miles on his car to make sure we found the perfect new place. And with his guidance, we were able to get above asking on the sale. Not only is he a terrific realtor, but he's first and foremost a really great guy. read more

Tim McLaughlin is hands down the best real estate professional I've ever worked with and I've worked with several over the past four decades. He is professional, personable, truthful, smart, understands the market and guided me perfectly through the process. He understands how to stage and market a house to maximize the sale. And best of all, he sold my house for above the asking price within days of going to market. You cannot go wrong with Tim McLaughlin and his entire team of professionals. read more

It's 3 years after my first review of Tim. Once again, my wife and I were lucky enough to have Tim on our team as we just bought our house in Sherman Oaks. Tim knows The Valley backwards and forwards and was able to to get us exactly what we were looking for. He fought for us every step of the way. He's honest, dependable, communicative and I can sincerely call him a friend. read more

Tim has helped us buys and sell numerous homes. He's our go to with any questions about the neighborhood or buying process. He expertly helped us set our selling price, leading to selling our first home in a few days with multiple offers above asking price. He knows the area, market and how best to navigate tricky situations. His expertise was invaluable in the process. He was also very cognizant of the stress on the little ones and always thought of them during house showings - bringing candy, movie tickets to help alleviate the stress. Five stars all the way! read more

Tim is one of those rare agents who actually cares about his clients. He just helped us sell our house, and did a fabulous job. His market analysis was spot on, his followthrough prompt and always thoughtfully executed - be it beautiful marketing materials or doing things exactly when he said he would. And his ability to infuse kindness and class into everything he does was an absolute pleasure to deal with! Even now that we've sold, he is helpful and watching out for us as we look to figure out the next step. In a world where so many realtors see people as paychecks, Tim stands out as a gentleman among car salesmen. I can't recommend him more! read more

We were starting to lose hope with our first agent, who worked hard but just couldn't get us into a home. A friend then referred us to Tim, who didn't even blink at our hopes and desires. He carefully selected properties to view, and within 2 weeks we found exactly what we were looking for. He then followed up with the seller and got our offer to stick. We've been in the home for a few years now and are happy to be here, and Tim was instrumental in making that happen. read more

We had a fantastic experience working with Tim to sell our townhouse. From our first meeting to closing, Tim was professional, prompt, communicative and efficient. I always felt that he was available to answer any question no matter how small, treated our home and the sale of it with respect and importance, and made what could be a difficult process incredibly smooth and painless. We were able to sell and close on our home much quicker than I ever expected. I would highly recommend Tim to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. read more

Tim is a throwback to a bygone era when realtors actually provided invaluable service, service based on years of experience and an intimate knowledge of the marketplace. He exudes professionalism and a low-key, no-bullshit confidence borne out by shrewd expertise. We met him at our home, he evaluated it candidly and gave us a very keen rundown on what we could expect. His opinion of what the house was worth, what the current market was like and how long it might take to sell demonstrated a very thoughtful approach. Every single element played out exactly as he had predicted so that we received multiple offers ABOVE our asking price and closed within 30 days of accepting the best offer. We couldn't be more pleased with the service we received from Tim and we would recommend him without reservation to anyone who is shopping for a professional, ethical realtor. read more

Our luckiest day was the day we met Tim McLaughlin over seven years ago. Since that time we have bought 3 properties and sold 1 with Tim handling all the sales. Each and every transaction went smoothly due to Tim's caring attitude and I have the greatest confidence in him. I would not consider using another real estate agent again. Tim is the best - one of those rare people who actually cares! I highly recommend Tim. read more

Tim is a fantastic agent. I was selling my family home in Sherman Oaks while living (and running my own business, and going to grad school, and...) in San Diego. Tim was responsive, professional, and very much on top of negotiations and home inspections and all the various headaches that tend to throw monkey wrenches into the selling process, especially when one is somewhat absentee. He knew the neighborhood and area, and had connections to local estate liquidators and other realtors with buyers. He also has a professional demeanor of confidence and diplomacy, but entirely without the used-car-salesman attitude I've run into in other realtors in my life. He gave great advice, and never dismissed my concerns or applied pressure in any way. Highly, highly recommended. read more

My experience with Tim has been great! I just want to say thank you for his help and understanding during this entire process. I am very happy that things have gone smoothly and successfully. I have enjoyed working with Tim every step of the way! read more

This is a long overdue review for Tim McLaughlin and Bailey Cunning. I first turned to the team of Tim and Bailey last April/May when I had no success with my last agent. I seeked them out since they successfully sold 2 months prior a similar home across the street within 5 days at a higher price than listed. They knew the Studio City/Sherman Oaks market well and had a strong real estate network and the experience to back them up. They came prepared to our first meeting, complete with beautiful brochures and flyers, comps, and strategy. I knew right then and there that they were the right persons to sell my home. Within the next furious few days, Tim and Bailey helped accent my home, brought in a photographer to take the most amazing Architectural Digest-like photos, created a website for my place, put up For Sale signs which adhere to my HOA guidelines, and mass-blasted their network about my home. They knew time was the essence so once the listing went right back up on the MLS, they made sure to get as much foot-traffic in as possible! Lo and behold, within 5 days of listing, I accepted an offer above list price! And for the next 30-days, they were on top of all timelines, communicated all updates and issues with me quickly, and made me feel confident and assured during one of the most stressful times of my life. Even months later, Bailey checks in on how I am doing and makes sure that I have the HUD documents required to do my taxes! Tim and Bailey made me feel like a valued customer; I would heavily endorse the team of Tim and Bailey for your next Studio City/Sherman Oaks home sale! I love the fact that I got their 2 heads for the price of 1! read more

Tim is a wonderful real estate agent who really cares about his clients. He is thoughtful, knowledgeable and is never impatient. He is quick and confident and I would hire him again in a second. read more

Tim is trustworthy, knowledgeable, hard working and kind. When I bought my house at a time when high numbers of offers weren't unusual, he patiently took me to property after property until we found the place I wanted. He guided me in ways to make sure I was the winning bid. When I recently sold that same house, he again came up with a sound strategy that enabled me to sell the house with multiple bidders well above asking price. Tim knows the communities and knows the brokers. His experience is invaluable and he's a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him. read more

Tim is such a pleasure to work, both on a personal and professional level. His professionalism, kindness, communication skills, honesty, confidence...I could go on and on...were extraordinary. He handled the sale of our house quickly, efficiently and seamlessly from start to finish, always keeping us up to date through every step of the process. I literally had to nothing during this process, except give him a key and sign the paperwork. You would be lucky to work with Tim. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Tim...again and again! read more

My husband and I recently hired Bailey Cunning and Tim McLaughlin to sell our Studio City townhouse after it sat on the market for 9 months. At the time we decided to make a change, we interviewed several agents and Bailey and Tim are the only agents who came prepared with a presentation on how they were going to sell our home. All of the other agents simply said that we obviously need to lower the price (which we had...) but Bailey and Tim didn't tell us that. They told us that it was priced right but it needed a fresh coat of paint downstairs and some professional staging. After completing that work (in about a week) they had a professional photographer come in, created beautiful marketing materials, relisted and had two offers within four days. We sold it for just under our asking price with a very easy 30 day escrow. Our only regret is that we didn't hire them sooner! read more

I can not thank Tim enough for being such a stellar agent. He went above and beyond his duties to make sure that we were satisfied. He even would work on off hours and while on vacation! I can't even start to give Tim enough credit for all the work he did for us, but I know we will be using him in any other real estate ventures in the future! read more

When my father died last fall, it was up to me get the Tarzana family home of the last 40 years sold, even though I had lived in Northern California for decades. There were no more local relatives and my 93-year old frail mother could not handle it. Tim came to me through a friend who had a great experience selling her own home in Sherman Oaks with him. He tactfully visited us on the day I called, research in hand, and patiently answered questions about his qualifications and experience. While we packed and moved my mother to Northern California, Tim carefully took me through the steps of listing and marketing the home. I never had to return to Southern California to finish the deal. We worked by phone, email and text. Though putting an unoccupied house on the market right after Thanksgiving could give some sellers trepidation, he got it sold for a great price in less than 2 weeks; the transaction closed right on time. The staging was tasteful and restrained, the photos and marketing material brilliant. He paid close attention to the condition of the interior and exterior of the home, notifying me if something needed attention. He was in close communication, extremely resourceful but never pushy, detail-oriented, and realistic about the value of the property and our prospects. When we worked out a selling price, he predicted it would yield 3 offers, and he was right. Inspections, escrow and documentation were a breeze; we did a minimum of negotiating the final price. The escrow and title companies he recommended did a great job staying on top of the title and reverse mortgage payoff issues. Tim was in touch promptly for every significant development, even through the Christmas holidays. He made me feel that we were only next door, not 450 miles away. Although a sad occasion brought Tim to us, I am extremely grateful for his "no drama", upbeat, friendly service. As a practicing attorney, it was my pleasure to deal with a true professional. I would refer Tim to friends, clients and family in a heartbeat. read more
