The beans which are roasted at their warehouse facility yield a very smooth and full bodied coffee with great aromatics with no harsh notes. The cardamon adds a unique tasting note which I have come to appreciate and love when drinking these Yemini coffees. Relative to the facility it is a bright ultra clean restaurant with a nice industrial vibe. The aesthetics of this business along with their superior coffee make for a very enjoyable and relaxing environment to savor your cup of coffee. Nice! Overall great coffee and a nice relaxing environment are hard to beat where you should check this business out if you are in the West Bloomfield area. This is a very…read moreopinionated review, but based on 50 years of lucky access to very fine coffees, and ideally you will consider it more enthusiastic and informed than smug and annoying. We live on the West Coast, were looking for Yemini coffee, and fortunately found Qamaria's website, ordering the Gate of Yemen dark roast. The roast is lighter and less oily than a French roast, as it should be, with some oil in the beans appropriate to something called a dark roast. We would say that Qamaria not only skillfully but more importantly respectfully roasts for the bean. This coffee makes us very happy, with a good dark "round" and balanced aroma to the ground beans and the brew. We made it pour over, but it feels most appropriate to stove top espresso or traditional style. It has a very satisfying long tail. A pour with a plot. A touch of the right kind of bitterness. The bean crushes easily between the fingers and grinds up finer than the espresso blend that we drink pour over (45% French Roast using Columbian beans, 45% Italian Roast using Mexican beans and 10% dark roast using Indonesian beans). Qamaria dark roast makes a pour over cup that is thicker than expected, which we find very satisfying: it's a sort of the character of traditional brewing but in a Chemex. We like the surprising way that a slight, fine sediment sneaks through the pour over paper filters and spreads across the tongue. Next we will move on to other Qamaria roasts and blends, brewing on stove top. The price point kills us, but how does one settle for ordinary to save money, when extraordinary gives such pleasure?

Greeted by friendly staff right away. I ordered the grilled cheese and for extra I got a pickle and chips. Felt being charged for a pickle was a little, meh? I also ordered the harvest green smoothie. I asked what was in it and she didn't really know but said it was good. A case of sweet treats was to the left. Menu wise, lots of options - breakfast, smoothies, milkshakes, paninis, toast, chili, soup, and bagel bombs. Single stall bathroom was at the back of the place and was clean. My grilled cheese was delicious. Grilled perfectly and not brunt. Lots of cheese pull and decent size. Chips were from Great Lakes Potato Chip Co. The Harvest Green smoothie was yummy - pretty sweet for a green smoothie. I noticed a lot of regulars were coming in and knew the staff. I was able to work in peace and eat some lunch. I understand employees may be busy, so that wasn't my concern. What bothered me was the customer service that followed. I asked for a small Berries Delight and pointed to the individual desserts on the left. Instead, the young man assisting me went to the cakes on the right and attempted to hand me a small cake. I politely stopped him and explained that I wanted the personal-sized Berries Delight on the left. He responded by saying, "Those are called slices," in a tone that came across as rude and condescending. I then asked if I could have a fresh one from the refrigerator because the one in the display case looked like it had been sitting there for a while. He insisted the display one was fine, but I repeated that I would prefer one from the refrigerator. He reluctantly got one and handed it to me, saying, "There's your fresh Berries Delight," in a sarcastic tone. I visit Sweet Dreams regularly--between this location and the previous one, I stop in about four times a month. I've always enjoyed your desserts, which is why this experience was so surprising. I've never been treated this way before. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because the quality of customer service should match the quality of your products.

I didn't have time to go back right then because I had to get to my kids' games, so I figured I'd stop in later or the next day to have it fixed. I went back out of my way today, expecting the usual experience I've had at other Biggby Coffee locations, where they're happy to correct mistakes. Instead, I was told they wouldn't remake the drink, and even the manager refused. That was honestly frustrating. There's no reason for someone to make that up, and I wasn't asking for anything extra, just the correct drink I ordered. Now I've had two days in a row of being unhappy with my experience, which is really disappointing because I go to Biggby often and have never had this issue at other locations. It also makes tipping feel pointless when the service doesn't back it up. I hope this location takes customer concerns more seriously going forward.
