On our way home from Wheeling we decided to stop at Tim Hortons for two reasons. One neither of us have ever been there and two I was in need of some morning coffee. The place was packed. Long lines stretched to the door. We probably waited 15 minutes just in line before ordering. We weren't in a huge hurry so I was being patient. I got a hot coffee to drink there and a cold to go. Also a breakfast sandwich. Prices were reasonable, on mark with Dunkin and the coffee was solid. Sandwich was meh ok. Good stop for coffee.

Coffee is always good. Their hot chocolate is my absolutely favorite. I have always loved their all of their food. The donuts aren't the world's greatest, but they're pretty good. Unfortunately it's always the slowest and most disorganized service. Today was the worst- I'm very understanding when it's busy, but I was the only person there and three employees were on their phones for about 12 minutes while I waited for food. Then had to remind them about my drink.

I had a bit of fun finding this place. The Wheeling area is a bit up and down, and there is a river flowing through it, and a different state on either side. I've been to a few Tim Horton shops and they're usually good, but sometimes, you have to prod the people, and other stores just have naturally perky, friendly, helpful people. This was in-between. I ordered a smoked ham-and-swiss panini (again!) and an iced tea. One of the two behind the counter recommended I get a large because they were only $0.99. I said okay and it came to less than I usually pay--somewhere above $6 each time. Hmm... As I had been on a drive from Philadelphia and had only one stop, I tried the rest room and it was clean. Almost as soon as I arrived at the pick-up counter, they brought my sandwich. It seemed a bit shy on meat and cheese and had some goop on it--I suspect the chipotle sauce from the turkey and chipotle panini. I didn't complain but that was sloppy and I'm sure they had to have noticed. The sandwich tasted good, but I had a lingering doubt by now. Also, the large tea just wasn't all that tasty, and I ended up throwing it away rather than not like it for another 350 miles. It wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't a good experience. Maybe, they'll have a better day or read this and work harder to please.

It's a Timmy's. Not sure what else needs to be said! Great place for breakfast sandwiches, baked treats, and the like. For those that are uninitiated, it's like a Dunkin donuts, but better (in my opinion). My favorite is a steak, egg and cheese croissant paired with an iced coffee, can't go wrong!

Really at a cross roads reading the other reviews after our lunch experience here. This vibes were…read morecozy and everyone at the door was welcoming and friendly. And that's where it pretty much ended for me. We were greeted by 2 individuals prior to being sat. Once we were sat I was told I couldn't have any outside drinks. I was carrying a hot tea in a paper cup when we walked in. No one else mentioned this. I later read a posting in the bathroom about outside drinks being prohibited. Seemed like it was mostly to prevent outside alcohol but was a blanket statement for all drinks. I thought it was odd I had to take my hot tea back to my car. Besides that the waitress wasn't super warm and friendly either. If I remember correctly she started with, "what are you drinking?" After I had to walk my tea to our parked vehicle. The food was mid. Very very mid. I got a salmon savory crepe. The salmon was dry, almost white in color and just seemed old. The crepe itself was chewy and hard to cut. My husband's wrap was decent. Kids plates were also decent. I liked that you "created" their plate from 3 categories or options. Overpriced for quality and portion. Once our food arrived there was a swarm of gnats that came with it. Our table was wobbly so cutting any food shook the entire surface. Our toddler caught on to this and wanted to rock the table the whole time. So between holding the table, trying to cut food and swatting gnats away.. it just wasn't a good experience all together. I'm confident there are better options in town for us to try when we return.

Crepes are the star here, so definitely get a crepe! They have sweet crepes and savory crepes, and…read morewe got one of the classic sweet options with Nutella, berries and whipped cream. It was big enough to share with three people! This is the type of restaurant that has silly names for everything on their menu. For example, Crepes of Wrath is a savory crepe with sausage, and Banana-fo-Fana has bananas and granola in it. Usually, I refuse to say these silly names out loud when I order, and instead will just order according to the ingredients. ("Give me the Nutella and berries crepe.") I know. I'm that person! You don't want to take me to a silly-names restaurant, because I will ruin your silly-names experience. In this case, though, the silly names are so pervasive throughout the menu that I was overwhelmed and I just gave up. Sometimes, you just have to grit your teeth and play along. Yes, I did say, "Give me the Last Tango." Before the crepe, though, we got lunch. Later Alligator has a huge sandwich menu. At least two dozen different sandwiches! Then there's wraps, salads, appetizers and a kids' menu. I got the Fowl Play (sigh), which is chicken salad with lettuce and tomato on a croissant. My oldest kid got the Club Car, which included ham, turkey, Swiss cheese and lettuce. In case you were wondering: The silly names extend to the kids menu, too! (Which Wich Tuna Fish is just one example.) My younger kid got the Munchkin (mac and cheese). The kids' mac and cheese here is a mini cup, so just keep that in mind if your child eats a lot. Both of my children eat like birds, so the size of the mac and cheese wasn't a problem for us. This is also the type of restaurant that has interesting things everywhere you look (including the restroom!), so take some time to look around at all of the paraphernalia everywhere.
