Chocolate Blazed

I previously gave Tim Hortons 3 stars but I've been back a bunch of times and have to write an update. I would like to declare that: TIM HORTONS IS KING. I will say that I still like Dunkin Donuts coffee better, but Tim Hortons' coffee is second only to DD in terms of smoothness. And it is SO much cheaper. Last time I went, I got a medium for $1. Can't beat it. I don't recommend their iced coffee though. It sucksss. In addition, donuts here are always $0.99. And the donuts are so much better, fresher, and tastier than DD. I've sampled many of them and here is my advice: don't get the Canadian Maple donut. It's not very good. The chocolate frosted is banging. The strawbery frosted is banging. The honey cruller is banging. The raspberry filled is banging. The honey dipped is banging. I wish there were more Tim Hortons in the area because it would kill the competiton. I'm glad I live right by this one in Westbury.

French vanilla and ice cap (still not as good as Canada)

Coming back from Canada over the holidays, I was missing Tim Horton's abroad and went out of my way to visit here. Unfortunately what I received by no means represents the chain. --French Vanilla - their best signature drink IMO and what I got was flat without any froth. Very disappointed. --Ice Cap(pucino) - another signature drink that failed, mostly poorly blended ice with artificial sweet flavor. --Sour cream glazed donut - the flavor profile is not good, doesn't taste anything like The Canadian version. It's unfortunate this place is inside a gas station along the main road, because the chain does have a lot of potential if done correctly as a standalone shop. Dare I say more potential than Dunkin Donuts? Side note, Yelp check in gives you 10% off your order.

Located in a gas station, this is the only Tim Hortons in Canada. Though it isn't quite as good/fresh as Canada, beggars can't be choosers. I always get the Iced Cap and sour cream glazed donut. Both are good and reasonable priced when you are comparing it to Starbucks.

I could not wait to eat it in a more relaxed, refined environment. It hit all the right notes.

I want to take these donuts to a church function... the Deacon's welcome back breakfast...so I perused the nutrition information online before dropping in this afternoon. I had the KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK BOSTON CREAM! Fantastic!!!! Why are there not a dozen of these Tim Horton stores on Long Island? Am I missing something? You will not regret trying these delicious donuts. Store owner is very nice, too. Very accommodating. If you need several dozen they will bake them for you. I can't imagine this chain would not do well in any town on Long Island. Go find out for yourself.

As a Canadian, I grew up on Tim Hortons so you can imagine my excitement when I found out they had it in New York. This particular location is only 15 mins away from where I live and I just like the convenience of it. It's located at a gas station and always reminds me of home when I walk in. Their options are quite limited which makes sense because its in a small gas station but they're open 24 hours which is great!

Finally a Tim Hortons in Long Island. My best guy friend is an Canadian. I spent my winter vacation in Toronto. I lived in a lux hotel near the CN tower with stunning waterfront view. Down the lux hotel, there is a Tim Hortons. The coffee was so great but cheap. A Canadian-style Donkin Donuts. I prefer hot white choco. But I knew double double was great too! I highly recommend the bagels! So crunchy and crispy. The gazed maple and raisin. Way better than Trader Joe's artisan bagels!

Donuts!

Hooray, the legendary alternative coffee and donut chain from Canada has arrived here in Long Island. I love their donuts! The calories/sugar seem a bit better than the other coffee/donut chain I used to go to. I am assuming this location went with real maple syrup as the added sugar so in that case I love it. The donuts are not too sugary and the coffee is unique to Timmies. More often I wish I could visit Canada, as I totally love that place. Timmies here in Long Island does just bring that, in addition, the polite demeanor of Canadians seem to exist with the staff here as well. That makes the experience so much more enjoyable!

My wife is a Canadian ex-pat and when we saw Tim Horton's on Long Island I almost crashed the car. Don't let the location fool you, it is tucked inside a Gulf gas station but it is the real deal! Ever since our first visit we have made it a weekly trip for coffee (and maybe a treat). The staff is friendly (and often the same people). The coffee is always fresh and tastes just as good any Tim's in Canada or Western NY. The doughnuts and pastries are very good as well. Canadian maple and glazed raspberry are my personal favorites. The new Nutella items are very good as well. Depending on the time that you go, the pastries may not be as fresh. I find that is the only major difference between this Tim's and the ones in Canada. In Canada they are almost always fresh. Regardless, this Tim's is MUCH needed on Long Island. I love Tim Horton's coffee and would take it any day over Dunkin... yeah I said it!

Running some errands . Received an notification of 10% discount off my entire order. Stopped in to redeem my offer. Ordered a Large decaffeinated coffee with sugar and cream. Old fashioned donut. As I waited for my coffee preparations. The server and I began to chat about various choices of donuts as she shared there muffin menu as well. Establishment was very clean and organized. Staffing very friendly. There wasn't a line., so my time inside was very quick. Great location from either direction. Prices very reasonable as well as their gas prices. Outside area was extremely clean. Absolutely no debris or trashed found anywhere.

Yummy!!!

this is a chain well known in other parts of this great country... and here it is on Old Country Road tucked into the back of a gas station (a small one at that) Oh Tim why? a lovely case filled with beautiful donuts such as vanilla dip a decadent delightful white donut with white frosting and those round colorful teeny tiny sugar balls my favorite Boston cremes Canadian cremes maple glaze instead of chocolate maple glaze strawberry frosted sour cream (one of my fav) chocolate frosted etc they pack them very nicely in a cardboard box at $4.50 for half dozen you can get a lovely selection they also have muffins and danish & bagels which I have yet to try and of course their coffee its smoother roastier and less burnt tasting then $tarbucks and way better then Dunkin which I personally can not drink yummy flavors iced hot slushie type them have them all I love their iced coffee I don't know what it is with these donuts they are just so good yes simple and good The girl that helped us was very friendly and patient as we tried to decide on which donuts

Donuts look FRESH! They are Homemade on premises.

Hello Friends! I have been looking for another donut shop. Lately I have been experiencing inconsistencies in customer service and price structures at my go to donut places of 7-Eleven and DD's. Unfortunately I'm seeing prices go up and service go down. Enter Tim Hortons Donuts! Wow, the coffee and donuts here only $0.99/ 6 for $4.99. But are their Donuts any good? Being involved in the security business for over 20 years I am expert at both eating and purchasing Donuts! My resume extends in front of me! The chocolate dipped donut was fresh and delicious, different than those that I have had before. The quality of the chocolate icing was rich and flavorful not cheap.I was really very pleased with the Jelly donut. It was fresh and soft, stuffed with a generous amount of raspberry jelly. I Paired my Donuts with the 99-Cent coffee which was freshly made and hot. The staff in this Tim Hortons kiosk was very genuinely friendly and welcoming. They we're very kind to explain the procedure involved in making the donuts in house. Trust me ,there is a big difference in flavor. I love courtesy and I love a smile when I'm patronizing a business and I got both here today. I'm looking forward to stopping back to try some of their egg breakfast specials. Tim Hortons a great rest stop to make your day when you and the family are on your way. Jim

I don't make a habit of reviewing donut spots in gas station stops lol, but I was pleased to finally be able to try out Tim Hortons after hearing the hype. The donuts were of pretty damm good quality for on the go and run but the prices really were the MVP lol - at a mere fraction of other donut spots with just as good if not better quality. I recommend the Oreo Donut and Blueberry donuts very very good. Also the Girl that was there was so friendly and helpful giving great illustrative details on every donut I had a question about.

The pizza is big with a nice thin crust, the Caesar salad was very good, served in a Parmesan crisp bowl which was delectable on its own. I didn't love the baked clams, too much breading, the clam itself was tiny and over cooked. The pasta dishes are easily shareable between 2-3 people. We tried the shrimp fra diavlo & drunken chicken and both were delicious. The shrimp was served with capellini (angel hair), the sauce was very light. The drunken chicken was served with a very rich and tasty vodka sauce. They have live music on Friday nights, the singer was very good. I'm surprised both times I went the restaurant wasn't that busy, I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can dine in their beautiful outdoor area.

Four of us went out to dinner on Christmas Eve and had a 7:00 pm reservation. We arrived a few…read moreminutes early and were seated upstairs, tucked all the way into a corner next to two very large parties. There was no window, no decorations--just a corner. On Christmas Eve, it felt especially disappointing. I went back downstairs to politely ask if it might be possible to move to a more festive table. While speaking with the host (who was accommodating), I overheard the bartender walk by and tell him to "seat them at the bar." This comment really caught me off guard. Our party included my teenage son and my parents, both in their 80s, so the remark felt rude and unkind. It's Christmas Eve and she wanted us to sit at the bar facing the tvs showing basketball games. It left a very bad taste in my mouth and honestly overshadowed much of the evening. I've dined here several times before and never experienced anything like that. I completely understand that it was Christmas Eve and the restaurant was busy, but interestingly, a larger table was seated after us and their order was taken before ours and they were served before we were, which added to the frustration. As for the food, I was excited to order the Cacio e Pepe because the last time I had it here, it was prepared tableside. That didn't happen this time, which I was flexible about given the holiday, but unfortunately it tasted like plain pasta with butter--no pepper flavor at all. The calamari appetizer was just okay. My dad enjoyed his pasta with Bolognese sauce, and my son said his spaghetti and meatballs were fine. Typically, the food here is much better, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, the bartender's comment was the most disheartening part of the night and is the main reason I don't see myself returning. I was especially grateful that my mother didn't hear it, as it would have been very upsetting to her and unlike myself she would have and rightly so put the bartender in her place.
