The cake was very tender and moist and the buttercream frosting was perfect. I'm amazed at the tenderness of the cake after eating horrible grocery store cakes. Kudos to Schneider's bakery for keeping the tradition of having excellent buttercream frosting. I'm not a fan of whipped frosting on cake at all. Anybody else like me that buys cake for themselves and doesn't need an occasion?

The portion sizes were solid, and everything felt like a really good value for the price, which is always a plus. They do offer lunch items too, which we didn't try this time, but it gives me a good reason to come back and check out more of the menu. I decided to go with a few of the created flavors, Honey Blue, Raspberry Beret, and the Mitch. They came piping hot out and were glazed and topped right in front of me. We came here on father's day as this location is quite far from us as we live on the West side of Columbus. Still, we had driven all this way and they said we could still order online, so I did, expecting a much longer wait than usual. We ordered 6 donuts and a coffee and settled in to wait. The seating area has some basic tables and chairs and booths along the wall. The interior is very light and colorful, but I would still say this is likely more a place designed for pick up as the seating is more of an afterthought. I did appreciate that they noticed us waiting and tried to get us our order quickly - so the service is friendly when they have the help. As you can tell from the pictures people have posted, the donuts are presented quite nicely. They also were a bit bigger than I expected as I was expecting mini donuts and find these are smaller than a full sized donut, but larger than a mini-donut. Unfortunately, I feel the donuts may have been cooked in too hot of oil as they crumbled quite a bit with the outside separating from the interior. It was a bit oily and then the sweet toppings didn't quite adhere to the donut and made the flavor a bit off - so it wasn't quite there for me. I hope that this may be different experience than what others may have had given their high order volume and what I can imagine was a day they were short staffed being father's day, but I don't think I'll be making the trip out to visit this location again.

The blueberry muffin was fantastic and had almost a crumb like texture on the top of the muffin. The French crawler and coconut donut were also great and each had their own unique flavor profile. You really can't beat the prices here as everything was extremely affordable. The parking lot does get a bit crazy in the mornings but people seem to move in and out quickly.

I showed up, told the wonderful women behind the counter that I'm not from here (TX here on a 6 month job), that I have zero idea what anything is in their display case because nothing in Dallas looks this good and just pick me 6 of the best things they have. 3 of the 6 never made it back to my jobsite that's 10 minutes away. The raspberry Danish, the deep fried glazed ball of heaven and the chop suey never stood a chance in the truck with me. When I did make it back, my local subcontractor looked at the box, KNEW I went to Buckeye Bakery and said "You did good". Overall, they're about to make me gain 20 pounds and lose all my money.
