I had flashbacks of my own at the time I was a barista mopping floors and I recall the disdain I had for customers walking in afterwards, yet there was no look of anger at all for having just walked in. She was totally pleasent and helpful in a beautifully fantastic way! Greeted me with a smile and offered me her recommendation. A coconut americano. It was delicious! Sweetened with coconut syrup and containing Oatmilk as my milk of choice, I really did crave more and am looking forward to when I will return.

We got there early today, and had time to look around before our friends got there. This gave us time to wait for a table, It gets busy in here, so ordering can take some time. However, the food was a while coming out. Our food came out well before our friends' food. However, the food was tasty when it did come out. Unfortunately, my eggs were a bit better done than I like them, but the meal was still edible, while we were eating and our friends were waiting for their food, the waitress admitted that they were short staffed by 2 people (you could really tell!) Later on, we heard they had run out of eggs. Although it is an interesting place, with an eclectic menu, and it's not next door for us, I would not be in a hurry to go back. I would give it one more chance, though, in a while, hoping they get their staffing issues sorted.

The coffee was slightly bitter for my taste, but overall it was good and I enjoyed it. I also ordered an almond bear claw. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it contained raisins, and I'm not a fan of raisins, so I probably wouldn't have chosen it had I known. That said, the pastry itself was fresh and tasty, and the raisins were more of a personal preference issue than a problem with the food. My wife ordered an iced chai latte and absolutely loved it. She often finds chai lattes to be watered down, but she said this one was perfectly sweet, full of flavor, and one of the better ones she's had. The cafe itself is cute, very clean, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The prices were also surprisingly reasonable. We've come here three times now during our stay in Prince Edward County (my mom and step dad rented a cottage in nearby Cherry Valley for the month of July). I've tried their iced decaf Americanos (hit the spot) and on the most recent visit, their peanut butter confetti bar (which was delicious). They also have a Gelato counter, with lots of tasty looking flavours, baked goods, a small menu of mostly sandwiches, and a curated selection of food stuffs. An INCREDIBLE amount of fun donuts and other baked goods, I wanted to try absolutely everything. They have a homemade cream that they use to fill some of their donuts, and they are also massive! Do you know what wasn't massive? The cost. Everything was reasonably priced and definitely worth it for these fresh baked treats. I'm going to need to return so that I can sample many more of these items - it was SO hard to pick what I wanted the first time since it all looked delectable. So grateful that we have these wonderful businesses here!
