The case was full of tempting choices, and everything looked amazing. The maple cream donut was absolute heaven -- the glaze had just the right touch of maple to balance the thick, tender dough. The edges were perfectly crispy, and the texture was unlike any donut I've ever had. The glazed twist was equally delicious. The coffee was very good, though a little too hot to enjoy right away. The only real downside was the lack of seating -- no tables or chairs inside, despite the large open lobby, and no benches outside either. We ended up eating in the car. These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. Then something happened that I NEVER would have expected. The staff member said, "Would you like another dozen for 16 cents?" I was caught so off guard that another dozen was only SIXTEEN CENTS, that I made him repeat it just to make sure I heard him right.
