I chose the breakfast pot pie as my entrée with the sausage gravy on the side to use for dipping. I was hoping for a buttery biscuit with flaky layers but was presented with a crumbly and a tad dry drop biscuit. Having the gravy and some hot sauce added the moisture. I like the atmosphere and I'm glad it was not crowded, as I'm sure there's a bit of a wait on those busy, popular days. Glad to see North East has another nice dinor for diners.

Overall, not bad, price is really the only questionable thing but it's a small business. Worth the couple extra bucks.

It was agreed she'd deliver it to the location in the morning. It was needed before 2pm but the plan was to have it there in the AM. Because she forgot, and it was unsure if she'd come through, a homemade cake was made just in case. It wasn't until 1:15 that she texted on way!! Cake arrived, a bit sloppy and still warm. Ended up with two cakes. The whole point was not to bake the night before and yet, $50 later, still had to! The cake was basic with pineapple on it. Not bad just not great, for bakery cake. A bit dry. Not as expected. It's too bad because she came recommended by other local bakers and she's a very nice lady. She offers poetry nights and displays artists work. I'd recommend for that. I cannot speak about the beverages or other foods/desserts. The cafe gets 3 stars because of the community events and she offers other items I didn't try. But I will not pre-order items or recommend anyone to do so.

Um, yes! Loved that accommodation. I grabbed an iced decaf for good measure, and hopped back in the car. The bread was still warm! That night, when we made it to our destination, we sliced up our bread and had it with pasta. It was pretty dense for sourdough - and we opted to warm the bread to take advantage of the parmesan slivers tucked into the bread. That definitely improved the flavor. The bread was ok, but the spirit with which it was given was so appreciated that *that* made it taste even better. We'll definitely be back.
