This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Changing the agreed price at the last minute after a signed contract and deposit had already been provided put us in a very difficult position, especially now that most contractors are already booked for the summer season. We understand mistakes can happen, but honoring signed agreements and communicating accurate pricing are basic expectations. Unfortunately, our experience showed a lack of accountability and reliability, and we cannot recommend this company based on how this situation was handled.

Every single one of his staff were friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to solve a problem. This extended past the job site as Denis continued to available, nearly instantly via SMS for the duration of the project. Denis and his team were also able to deliver on each and every promise that they made (and then some), on budget and on time. They also managed to do a large scale project leaving the place cleaner than when they found it, all throughout the project (e.g sweeping as they go). Note; project also required an extreme amount of cuts to stone for the length of our house. It was not easy to keep clean. Frankly, I don't know where they get the energy for this kind of detail but it was impressive to see day in and day out. If you're looking for meticulous work, that executes as communicated, GTA siding and aluminum should be your choice. These guys are quite honestly the best contractors we have had a chance to deal with and the only downside is they aren't involved in more trades.

On the ads the homeowner believes he's a builder however on the contract it clearly states he is only managing/supervising the property which is a big difference. The result of this is that the home owner cannot claim on Tarion because he does not register his projects on his insurance nor provides supporting documents of his insurance despite several attempts contacting his lawyers. I had trusted Kingsgate homes to build my dream home and was very excited as I was promised many deadlines which were not met so I had to make the difficult decision to terminate the company after 65% of the work was done which was because of poor work ethic, and mismanagement of materials and safety violations. Most of the time the owner is enjoying his time in Iran not caring about the jobs he has going on in Toronto. me and him currently we have an ongoing dispute being settled in court with amounts owing unto $2,000,000. His project located on Bayview and 16th was burned as well as the 2 neighbours that resided at their residence and had all their belongings burned due to the carelessness of Kingsgate homes.. I was a tenant at a property behind a house this company was working at. The company parked in…read morefront of my bedroom window blocking access to my buildings parking lot. When asked to close the trailer door to quiet the generator I was told no, I called the company to ask for any way we could work together to deal with the noise and fumes. The person who answered the phone was so rude did not want to work with me at all even though they were parked illegally and blasting truck exhaust fumes in to mine and my neighbor's apartment. (I have a recording of the phone call). Then before the contractors left, Steve, the owner who answered the phone, who is also a contractor accosted myself, my roommate and neighbor and got upset that we asked him to move. He accused us of being rude to his company. I let him know I was the person he spoke to on the phone and he was rude to me, he denied it. I then pulled out my phone and started playing him the recording of the phone call and said that is you, is it not? He said yes. I then played the part where he Told me "I don't care, I will pay the $50 fine and then come right back and park there". He said no that's not rude, you don't know, haha, you don't know. The next day the parking lot was almost full and the spot they parked in previously was taken by our building's maintenance crew. They got upset and tried to accost the maintenance man, so the maintenance man went in to the unit and then Steve Cowen got upset with my neighbor about where he is going to park. Luckily I was putting my pet on their leash and had my phone. So walked up my top stair and I started recording as he likes to deny his actions. My neighbor said there is parking at the end of the parking lot. He got upset because his hose wasn't long enough to get to the other property. I said sorry that is not our problem, you guys should have had permits Then he got really upset and threatened my neighbor and by then his employee and my roommate were there he started swearing and threatening physical violence. I said if you want to hit us go a head but you are on tape. Him and his employee slowly left, but before they left Steve turned and hollered at the 3 of us you get out of here. I said we live here. He then parked on the street in front of the building he was contracted for.
