The space is big too with sufficient shade for guests. Seating tends to fill up quick (especially in the shade), so finding a place to store your things and grab a seat may get a bit difficult later in the day. But overall, it's a nice place to spend some time and cool off!

I felt like I was being monitored the entire visit by overly controlling lifeguards. The office employee at the front was very nice, but once you get inside, the atmosphere becomes uncomfortable. At one point I was barked at to move because some kids needed to take a swim test. Later, my granddaughter was swimming, so I got in the pool with her because she had to wear a red wristband due to her age--even though she swims perfectly well. I was standing on the pool steps in the water, but the lifeguard insisted I had to be fully "in the pool water." I don't understand why it matters whether I'm standing or sitting on the step, especially since I had been sitting there earlier with no issue. I used to bring my own children to this pool years ago, and people seemed much happier then. You were expected to swim back and forth, not take a formal swim test like you're training for the Olympics. Please do better, Poway. I pay taxes for this pool, and it feels like the people who get the most benefit from it are the lap swimmers and swim classes.

Full size fridge with freezer though lacking ice cube trays. They provided charcoal and fire wood which I did not expect and was a nice surprise. Very quite and peaceful while we were there (Wednesday-Thursday). The community room was retro decorated and the bathrooms were very clean. My only complaint about the pool was the temp of the water. It did not seem heated even though they advertised as a heated pool.

We stayed in September and it definitely was very hot. I wish that all of the trailers had AC. I was disappointed to learn that the trailers don't lock from the outside. They tell you to keep your valuables in your car. A. This is inconvenient, B. I am not sure if the spartan locked from the inside either. I feel like the locks are something that they should definitely invest in fixing. The spartan also has a very small water heater. I think that they told us 2 gallons when we called. I couldn't even get through a shower without it running out. We called because we thought maybe it could be fixed but they let us know the water heater is small but they have public showers available. Since it was hot I toughed it out. My brother stayed in the mansion and it had a bad smell in it. It bothered his girlfriend a lot. They did have AC and their hot water was fine. Their trailer also did not lock from the outside. The trailers are cute, and we liked the vintage decor but they need some work done. I feel like their trailers have a lot of potential if they would just invest in them a bit. My husband and I stayed at another location that had vintage trailers. They were definitely nicer. AC, hot water, new linoleum, locks and keys, and did not have a bad smell. I hope that pinecrest can improve their vintage trailers. I think that if they improved them they would have a lot more return business.

Our experience with this organization has been among the worst we have had with any business in…read moremore than ten years. The fundamental problem is that homeowners are required to pay dues whether or not they are permitted to use the facilities. Although the young reception staff have generally been friendly, our interactions with the administrative office have often felt dismissive, inflexible, and unnecessarily rude. Even the entrance, with its locked metal gates and restrictive atmosphere, feels unwelcoming for what is supposed to be a neighborhood recreational facility. For more than a year, I have tried to resolve a dispute involving outstanding dues for invoices and notices I did not receive. Because we were not using the facility, I had no reason to know that charges were continuing to accumulate. Once I became aware of the issue, I proposed a reasonable solution: allow me to begin paying the current dues while we worked out a fair arrangement for the disputed past balance. Instead of treating this as a genuine effort to resolve the matter, the office responded with a rigid, collection-focused attitude and refused to consider a practical compromise. We were expected to pay everything immediately while still being denied access to the facilities. A community association should make a reasonable effort to communicate with homeowners, provide clear and timely notices, and work constructively with residents who are actively trying to resolve a dispute. It should not use mandatory dues and denial of access as leverage while refusing to discuss a fair payment arrangement. We were not asking to avoid our responsibilities. We were asking for transparency, basic courtesy, and a reasonable path toward resolution. Unfortunately, our experience has reflected none of those things.
