William the Tile Master did a great job, he installed roughly 800 sqft of wood looking tile in our home. He got everything done in the time frame he originally said and worked through a lot of issues in our old house. You can tell he cared about the workmanship and treated our house like his own. I would recommend him for your tile needs. My only comment was more of a miscommunication between us than a mistake. Other companies I got quotes from broke out floor preparation and leveling as a line item and I/he missed this at the time of quoting. He priced it out and notified us prior to starting work so there wasn't any surprises once the work started but make sure you ask about this up front. read more

William is a very detail oriented and professional contractor. He took his time helping me find the tile I needed to remodel our bathrooms and kitchens. He was always dependable, on time and always answered his phone! We had all this work to do on weekends only driving back and forth from our rental in Ventura to Ramona every weekend for 16 months. Even with the pandemic I never had any delays in getting the work done when he gave us his time estimates. The rooms, both kitchen backsplash and the 2 bathrooms were completely gutted so I had to find what would match all the other aspects of my inside total home remodel. I was living in another city and doing most of my design work on our retirement home from my computer. Being a graphic designer, by trade, I had skills needed to match colors, textures and other elements of design. William is part of our family now. We found William when the house my girlfriend bought had mold in the bathroom so we had to tear everything out and completely remodel it. William came out to do the tile floor - a small job but William was willing to do it. The workmanship was incredible with great attention to detail. With his warm personality we definitely wanted to give him the praise he deserves. Then I bought a house of my own and asked William to tile the kitchen and baths. Of course he did great work again. But what really stood out for me was what he did in my entryway. I had a marble tiger mosaic which he installed in my entry. He bordered with black marble and gold pieces and surrounded the area with Travertine marble. It turned out exquisite. I picked a hardwood floor, acacia wood, to bring out the colors and now I am absolutely in love with my floor. What an outstanding piece of work. Thank you, William! I am so pleased to highly recommend William at Tile Master for tile setting in your home. He performed OUTSTANDING work on our small laundry room job. Even though it was a small job on a "non-glamorous" room, William treated this job with exacting care and attention. He replied by end of day to my request for a quote. William was amazing start to finish. I waited 2 months for our other contractor to finish the bathroom of our 100 year old house. The tiling was so poorly done, I found William and scrapped the majority of what the previous contractor had touched. William and his crew took 7 days to finish our bathroom. He demo'd down to the studs on two walls. Our previous contractor tiled over 100 year old plaster. He used wrong materials. He didn't waterproof the shampoo boxes. He didn't properly shape the shower floor to drain the water...William fixed all of the errors. When finished, I have no doubt this bathroom will last another 100 years. William was wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job on our shower! He was on time, on budget and a breeze to work with. He answered all of my calls and texts and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. His quotes came in lower than others and I would highly recommend working with him and his tiling partner, Santiago. We did a master shower with side bench seat and shampoo niche. We used 12x24 porcelain tile on the walls and hexagon tile for the floor and shampoo niche. The only things you provide are the tile (which he got me a discount on and walked me through the choosing process) and shower doors. read more

I called Tile Master for a quote on tiling the tub surround and floor of my bathroom. He came out the same day and measured, gave me some ideas on the type of tile I should look for and said he would text me a quote in the next workday. His price was fair and itemized letting me know exactly what he would include. He actually went beyond that and took out the vanity and hauled that away. The tile installation is perfect and absolutely beautiful. William and Marcos arrived every morning at 8 and cleaned up at the end of every day! Too Many Errors! Shower Installation. You have to watch William Ellis's, owner of Tile Master, work. First, he was going to install tile on existing regular drywall "INSIDE" the shower where he moved the shower step. Second, he was not going to install studs or even mention them, on the sides of the shower step, knowing that a glass shower door was going to be anchored. Third, he did a sloppy prep job, and was going to leave fiberglass mesh tape covered with Redgard all around shower walls where the tile stopped. We had to have his tile worker put another layer of tile around walls to cover most of the mesh tape and Redgard, and we were charged for it! All along the way we had to say something to him, and correct his bad decisions. If we did not catch the errors, we would have had to rip out a new shower and have it corrected by another tile company, who knew what they were doing. We are just hoping that the shower does not leak. read more

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to write this review. William was just wonderful from start to finish for our whole-house tile flooring project in February 2018. He was always on time, in a positive frame of mind, his right-hand man Santiago was stellar as well. Workmanship was "finish" level, he provided helpful advice, and when he noticed I was anxious (life and work stuff colliding) he was a calming presence and helped me have a better day by attending to the little details. He and Santiago were fastidiously neat. Every detail we discussed was followed through with and we are VERY happy. Now we can't wait to have him back for other projects we discussed.
