I'll go into a bit more detail here: My wife and I wanted to put new bamboo wood floor on our second floor to match the downstairs bamboo we already have. The project included a curved staircase that doubles back to a landing, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. Luxe was the second flooring company we got a quote with. After reaching out to the highest rated Yelp flooring company in our area we wanted to get a second opinion. Max was better in every way. During the initial estimate Max took much more time to go into detail about all the work he would be taking care of and asked us questions to help him come up with an appropriate and detailed quote of all the labor and materials required. The other company didn't ask many questions and once we spoke with Max from Luxe, we felt so much more relaxed feeling that we were going to be in good hands. To top things off, Max's estimate was a bit lower than the other and his quote really broke down the cost so we could see it all and it made sense. It was a no brainer for us to choose Luxe and we were able to get started just a week and a half later. Max was very responsive in the lead up to the project and we kept in touch via text/call to go over all the details as he ordered the materials. He made excellent recommendations for the vinyl flooring in the bathroom which is much better quality than the one that was originally in the bathroom. I should also note that when another floor company was brought in to inspect the apartments affected by the water damage, they immediately said, "All the flooring needs replacement" as matching the "warped areas is impossible." But Vaccaro knows his hardwood floors and worked on the warped areas. Nothing needed replacement and you can't tell there was ever any damage. I can't imagine how much the other company would have charged for all new floors, but my guess is, it was four times what I ended up paying. I will start that the floors look good…read more I was verbally disrespected by this company. There was a lack of communication and timing of the entire process. In the beginning, I was not told this would be a two day job. They were late on both days of this job. The time was underestimated each day for the job. They parked illegally in a driveway, blocking two cars access to leave. They left the floors dirty and did not clean up. I wish I would have known that I could have to clean up after them, so I could have planned this additional work. They left the heater at 76 degrees for two days WITHOUT asking me. I had to rush an hour's drive just to turn off the heat. The gas bill will be very high. I was not told that my electricity would be used for this service of floor repair. I was not told that the heater would run for two days. I debated to put 3 stars for the good looking floor, but the cons outnumber the pros.
